• Flex 3 - Send a HTTP Get request from Flash and want Firefox to show Open With Box.

  Hi all, I am a newb developer as far as Flex and Flash is concerned. This is what I'm trying to do: 1) Send a HTTP request to our server (with a custom made URL). The URL basically tells the server to send data in a CSV format. 2) The server sends a 200 OK response, which has Content-Type: application/csv and the payload is pure CSV data. What I wish to do is, when firefox gets this 200 OK response, I want it to show the standard Open with box (the one that shows up when you download some file). I tried doing this with HTTPService. I have a "Export to CSV" button on the flash component. Upon clicking that, the flash component is able to succesfully send the HTTP request. I however don't want Flash component to handle the response, so I don't have the 's "result" tag defined. But nothing happens. Any suggestions on how to do this.

For example I have a user menu Profile Friends Messages Logout When I'm in the profile controller the URL is domain.com/profile/some_function The Profile tab should be active by changing the background color for example. I would usually add php to the tabs to check for their corresponding URL segment and I would change the style of the active tab. In Codeigniter should I implement a helper? What function can I easily use in tabs?

  I need to use InnoDB storage engine on a table with about 1mil or so records in it at any given time. It has records being inserted to it at a very fast rate, which are then dropped within a few days, maybe a week. The ping table has about a million rows, whereas the website table only about 10,000. My statement is this: select url from website ws, ping pi where ws.idproxy = pi.idproxy and pi.entrytime > curdate() - 3 and contentping+tcpping is not null group by url having sum(contentping+tcpping)/(count(*)-count(errortype)) < 500 and count(*) > 3 and count(errortype)/count(*) < .15 order by sum(contentping+tcpping)/(count(*)-count(errortype)) asc; I added an index on entrytime, yet no dice. Can anyone throw me a bone as to what I should consider to look into for basic optimization of this query. The result set is only like 200 rows, so I'm not getting killed there.

  I have fastcgi installed and running. I downloaded a developerkit from fastcgi.com. It had some examples in it. One of the example files echos some stuff. It required a .libs and a .deps I put those folders along with a echo.fcgi file and into the webroot/cgi-bin. If I got to the echo.fcgi url, it works great. I created a simple c file that prints hello world. I compile it using gcc -Wall -o main -lfcgi main.c What do I do with it now? Does it require something like a perl script or php script to be executed. Or, should I just be able to put it in the webroot/cgi-bin folder and go to it's url?

However if I go to following url I can see that 16964 changeset has reviews assigned to it: http://fisheye.company.com/changelog/NameOfRepository?cs=16964 I also tried to use: http://fisheye.company.com/rest-service-fe/search-v1/reviewsForChangeset/NameOfRepository/ I got the same response. Am I missing something?

• Ajax problem after deleting a div, then creating a new one

  I'm building a custom CMS where you can add and delete clients using ajax and jquery 1.4.2. My problem lies after I delete a div. The ajax is used to complete this and refresh automatically.. But when I go to create a new div (without a hard refresh) it puts it back in the slot of the div I just deleted.   I cannot get the following route to fire when a url is requested from a script tag.   I want to create a browser based game and I have a huge problem, the game can be easily hacked. The problem is at a page where you can go to "work", I store in a file the work ending date and the amount of money what you will receive after finishing the work. There are 4 type of works. The problem is that I use ajax to send to a php file the necessary information. The URL looks like this x.php?date=....&pay=.... The javascript part of the page calculates the date and the pay but if you simply enter in your URL bar x.php?date=anynumber&pay=99999 you will receive that 99999 dollars. What should I do ? I can create a HTTP request using a java.net.URL instance, but I don't seem to be able to associate my certificate with that instance (and I'm not sure whether using java.net.URL is even appropriate).

• On Click alert if $.get returns a value, if not, submit the form

  If the submit button is clicked, prevent the default action and see if the field 'account_name' is already in use. If the $.get() returns a result, alert the user of the results. If it doesn't, submit form with id="add_account_form". My problem is that my else{} statement is not submitting the form. I get no response when submit is clicked & there is no value returned. • Loopj Android Async Http - onFailure not fired

  I am using the great async http library from loopj, but I have run into a small snag. If the user has no internet connection or loses their connection, the app just won't return anything. This part is expected, but it also doesn't fire the onFailure method. Also, the code I have used when there is an internet connection does work so there is no problem on the server end. Here is some code that is stripped down to the minimum. • Can't return a String value and append it...why?

  I am writing an app and am having problems returning a simple string value, and I'm not sure why. The function I am using (within a file called APIManager.m) is: - (NSString*) returnVenueUrl { NSString *venueUrl = [devEnvironment stringByAppendingString:@"venue/id/"]; return venueUrl; } I can return this properly by doing this in another .m file: APIManager *apiManager = [APIManager apiManager]; NSLog(@"view venue URL is here: %@", [apiManager returnVenueUrl]); But when I go to append a variable cast as a String onto it, I get nothing.. venueURL = [apiManager returnVenueUrl]; venueURL = [venueURL stringByAppendingString:venueId]; NSLog(@"the Full Venue URL is: %", venueURL); If anyone has any advice on how to fix this, it would be much appreciated!

• ASP.NET MVC How to call a secured page from a windows app?

  Hi, I have a MVC app that has forms authentication enabled. The app allows printing of invoices. I have an external app that converts html to pdf. How can I call the secured page from this pdf converter app so that some security remains? The PDF converter app just requires a URL. One thought was to create a HttpHandler for an extenion of say .print and pass a public key in the URL qureystring that can be validated by the MVC app. Any ideas on this? Malcolm

Where is it used, or what difference does it make if this line is included or not?

• Referencing View directory in asp.net mvc

  i have some html files as part of a regular website that has been ported over to asp.net mvc. In my code i need to read and write these html files and stick them in a tinymce editor To be able to read and write this file from disk in the past i had a hard coded path but this doesn't seem to work in asp.net mvc unless i do something like this: Writing: string _urlDirectory = @"c:\hosting\MySite\Views\Members\newsletters\test.html"; System.IO.File.WriteAllText(_urlDirectory, htmlData_); Reading: string url = @"c:\hosting\MySite\Views\Members\newsletters\test.html"; var req = WebRequest.Create(url); var response = req.GetResponse(); StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream()); string htmlData_ = sr.ReadToEnd(); i am moving my site from one data center to another and the directory structure is changing. instead of just changing the hard coded path to another hard coded path i wanted to see if there was a more relative way to reference these files.

• Download and write .tar.gz files without corruption.

  I've tried numerous ways of downloading files, specifically .zip and .tar.gz, with Ruby and write them to the disk. I've found that the file appears to be the same as the reference (in size), but the archives refuse to extract. • where is everything in django admin?

  Hi all, I would like to figure out where everything is in django admin. Since i am currently trying to modify the behavior rather heavily right now, so perhaps a reference would be helpful. For example, where is ModelAdmin located, i cannot find it anywhere in C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\django\contrib\admin. I need that because i would like to look at how it is implemented so that i can override with confidence. I need to do that in part because of this page: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/admin/#modeladmin-methods, for example, i would like to override ModelAdmin.add_view, but i can't find the original source for that. As well as i would like to see the url routing file for admin, so i can easily figure out which url corresponding to which template etc. Thanks a lot for any pointers!
