I'm currently running Vista Ultimate but I'm thinking about updating to Windows 7. Vista was not supported a host systems with VMWare Server (free version).
Question: Does the latest version of the VMWare Server support Windows 7 has the host machine?
I've tried converting a PEM-encoded key to DER format, and it appears the password is stripped regardless of the -passout argument.
Example:
openssl rsa -in tmp.pem -outform DER -out tmp.der -passin pass:foo -passout pass:bar -des3
The resulting key appears no longer password-protected, so I am assuming that DER format does not support a password - is that correct?
What alternative way is there to store this in a compact, binary form, and keep the password-protection?
Any kind of WordPress plugin for TRAC?
How to install, where to get? Analogs?

I will be buying a 2TB hard drive soon, and would like to use it as media storage. I would like to be able to read/write from both Windows (version 7, 64bit) and Ubuntu Linux, and I need support for files greater than 4GB in size (so I think this rules out FAT32).
I'm using IFS drives at the moment to access my linux ext4 partitions, and I find it unstable. Does this mean NTFS? Is there something else I'm missing?
Is there a way, using Windows GPO, to set up a list of "default" mapped drives that can be applied to a group of users?
I runs small network and would like to make sure that certain groups of users (like Sales or Support) have the same network shares mapped to the same drive letters irrespective of which PC they log onto.
This would make the setup of new users easier and allow the centralised administration of the network locations shared.
Any links to examples and/or step-by-step guides would be greatly appreciated.
Although GraphicsMagick is a fork of ImageMagick, there are dissimilarities between the two, namely in the support of image stacking in ImageMagick, but not in GraphicsMagick. Taken from the ImageMagick documentation:
convert wand.gif \( wizard.gif -rotate 30 \) +append images.gif
In this example, the rotate command is applied only to the wizard.gif resource. My question is: Is there an equivalent to image stacking in GraphicsMagick?
Consider that there are two server load balancers working in the tcp proxy mode (e.g., for L7 load balancing). Is it possible to synchronize their states in real time so that they can be a backup for each other? in case that one is down, the other still has all necessary states to uninterruptedly support all existing TCP connections.
I understand that this is hard, but I am wondering whether any free/commercial LB already supports this feature.
Thank you!
I'm currently evaluating whether to use RightScale to manage a production environment in EC2. I intend to use Puppet for configuration management either way (the declarative approach seems far better than running scripts), am running a somewhat nonstandard stack (e.g. MongoDB), and am uncertain about how much value RightScale would add relative to Puppet + Amazon's auto-scaling + another hosted monitoring system. Those who use RightScale, what features do you find important? Is its auto-scaling support (including keeping single instances running) more powerful than Amazon's?
I just inherited this a single linux box running pop/smtp for a small office (25 users). I'm new to Linux. I think the box is running Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 as the server (this is bannered accross the screen occassionally) but not sure of the release/kernal/build etc. I need to be certain of both the server os and email linux versions in order to perform research, admin and support. Any help/pointers on how to do this is much appreciated.
I have a hosting company, I am using resellerpanel.com to buy domain and hosting for my clients, but I want to switch to cPanel, resellerpanel offers from 17.50$/M and hostgator.com offers 19.96$/M, I don't care about money all I care about services, live support and up time.
Note: some of my clients request email only not hosting can I limit access to email mananger or hosting only with cPanel?
Thanks.
I have a HP Pavilion DM3 laptop that was purchased in the USA. I need to use it overseas (Greece) where only ISDN internet is available. Windows 7 says that it does not recognize the driver to use it. Is there anyway to get it to support ISDN?

Looking for Anti virus for windows SBS 2003.
Read in related threads that NOD34 is a good option generally.
http://serverfault.com/questions/7/what-is-the-best-enterprise-virus-scanning-system
What is the best option considering we are running SBS 2003?
Also interested in decent free options which support SBS 2003.
I'm a CS uni student in a country with limited bandwidth, and I find that I download files (particularly install files) for reuse\reinstallation\giving to my friends.. I've kept these files in different folders, and now find it extremely hard to find them, and keeping track of obselete files (the almost weekly releases of iTunes versions, or latest 7zip release or the .Net framework installers). What I would like to find is a file manager that could support tags, so instead of hierachical folders, i could find\view files according to their tags...
The new PC I just finished building has USB 3.0 support. I use a USB stick/thumb drive all the time on my PC for stuff, is there an equivalent available anywhere for USB 3.0?
Please list one product per post, and provide a link to the manufacturer's product page.

I'm testing out a Content management system on my computer and have emailed their support for a problem regarding login.. They've replied back and asked if my CMS is behind a portal or proxy. I feel kind of stupid for not knowing this, but how do I find out? Everything is local (eg, hosted on my computer, etc).
Thanks in advance!
First of all which graphics cards support 3 monitors?
Is it possible to buy a graphics card which has 2 outputs and use the onboard (motherboard) graphics output for the third monitor?
(as far as I know you have to toggle between onboard or external graphics usage in the BIOS)
Pretty much all the text that I have read on enabling Hindi (Complex Text Rendering) involve enabling it via Regional Settings Languages Install files for complex script support and left to right languages (including Thai).
However, I am able to read Wikipedia without having this feature enabled. Is this normal or is this an anomaly with my Win XP SP1 CD?
Please no spamming or aiming for cheap money.
The registrar needs to have a good ui, work with no downtime, be easy and flexible to use, support easy changing/adding of CNAME fields, MX records, and work well with outside host DNS.
