  • I need help pleas help me xorg.conf missing Ubuntu 11.10 can't install driver for my Intel GM965 on my Dell Latitude d630

    I have hard time solving my problem. I have searched the net but nothing worked... I just installed the newest ver of ubuntu 11.10 on my laptop dell latitude d630. Everything works fine but it seems i dont have my video card drivers installed. I have some standart drivers. I try to check out my xorg.conf file but its missing i try to make one from root but it gives me critical error. Its like i dont have X11 installed can some1 please help me here are some of the things ive tryed...   • issue with vmd install not working any more. lubuntu 12.10

    I had vmd working on my lubuntu 64 bit but all of a sudden I was getting errors when I tried to run it. I tried reinstalling it but no joy. The error I now get when I try to run rlwrap: No match. I don't use make unless I have to so I don't know all that much about it. I have removing vmd completely to see if that helped. I tried the suggestions it made (I am sorry, I can't remember the details but it was moaning about CUDA and my graphic drivers for a while. I had not updated it or anything. It was fine until I went away from the computer and came back to it like that. If nobody can help I will try reinstalling my system and see if that helps.

Is it bug or feature? :P

    It seems the standard approach for deserializing JAXB XML is to specify the package name when creating the context. Then, JAXB looks up the class based on the root element: JAXBContext jc = JAXBContext.newInstance("com.foo"); Unmarshaller u = jc.createUnmarshaller(); Object o = u.unmarshal(new StringReader("...")); I'm looking for a more flexible approach where I don't have to specify the package name and could still deserialize any object. This would be as simple as JAXB storing the package in the XML, but I can't seem to find out how to do this. I can write the code to do it myself but that would be unpleasant. It would like JAXB to do it, if possible. BTW, I am not using schemas, just Annotations and marshal/unmarshal. Any ideas?

  • Ubuntu install doesn't run on 32Gb Nexus7 with 3g?

    I tried installing Ubuntu on my recently purchased (for this purpose!) Nexus 7 32Gb, with the Cellular option. When I rebooted with Ubuntu, it didn't come up. I know, I need to post the errors I received. I was in a hurry to get back to something usable for the holiday (on the road, Thanksgiving, etc.), so I just reinstalled Android for now. When I have time, I'll post more of the errors. All I remember right now is that it dropped into busybox and I didn't have a keyboard or any way to attach one. (I used the 32Gb Ubuntu, by the way.) Have others seen this?

    Does it make a difference if you do count(*) vs count(row-name) as in these two examples? I have a tendency to always write count(*) because it seems to fit better in my mind with the notion of it being an aggregate function, if that makes sense. Specifically I would like my job's output files content and name to be organized by the ket the reducer outputs - each file would only contain values for one key and its name would be the key.     This is what I am trying to do. I downloaded the latest driver for my VGA from http://www.nvidia.com. The installation needs the X11 to be shut down, so I log out of my account, then press Ctrl+Alt+F1, then log in with my username and password, then run the command sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09.run in every possible way, I have even tried CHMODing the package with 777 permissions, but still I'm getting the sh: can't open NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.09.run error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • GCM: onMessage() from GCMIntentService is never called [migrated]

    I am implementing GCM (Google Cloud Messaging- PUSH Notifications) in my application. I have followed all the steps given in GCM tutorial from developer.android.com My application's build target is pointing to Goolge API 8 (Android 2.2 version). I am able to get the register ID from GCM successfully, and I am passing this ID to my application server. So the registration step is performed successfully. Now when my application server sends a PUSH message to my device, the server gets the message as SUCCESS=1 FAILURE=0, etc., i.e. Server is sending message successfully, but my device never receives the message. After searching alot about this, I came to know that GCM pushes messages on port number 5228, 5229 or 5230. Initially, my device and laptop was restricted for some websites, but then I was granted all the permissions to access all websites, so I guess these port numbers are open for my device. So my question is: I never receive any PUSH message from GCM. My onMessage() from GCMIntenService class is never called. What could be the reason? It got stuck at Detecting file systems so I just closed it. Later, I started having a lot of problems with the OS so I decided to switch to the normal 12.04. But when I booted from my USB, it said An Operating System wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an Operating system. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart. I tried that a couple of times but nothing happened. What should I do?

Which of course gives me the following error: Column IHINV not in table CIINVHD Did anyone had this problem before? I have other entities that are very alike in the way that they are using # in their database field names and that are part of the PK and I don't have this problem with them.

  • count(*) vs count(column-name) - which is more correct?

    Does it make a difference if you do count(*) vs count(column-name) as in these two examples? I have a tendency to always write count(*) because it seems to fit better in my mind with the notion of it being an aggregate function, if that makes sense. But I'm not sure if it's technically best as I tend to see example code written without the * more often than not. count(*): select customerid, count(*), sum(price) from items_ordered group by customerid having count(*) > 1; vs. count(column-name): SELECT customerid, count(customerid), sum(price) FROM items_ordered GROUP BY customerid HAVING count(customerid) > 1;

    When mapping a HasMany or HasManyToMany in fluent nhibernate, you can specify the column name to use for the list as a parameter to the AsList() method as follows: HasMany(c => c.Customers) .AsList(c => c.Column("PositionIndex")); I would prefer to be able to set this using a Fluent NHibernate convention (either a pre-existing one, or a custom one), especially since the default name appears to be "Index" which is a reserved word in MSSQL. I've tried using a custom convention implementing IHasManyConvention, but the instance parameter does not seem to contain the information about whether its a list, a bag, or a set, and also does not contain the column details for the index column. public void Apply(IOneToManyCollectionInstance instance) { } Any ideas?

  • Trouble installing from disk

    I'm writing this in desperation, Windows is slowly killing me and i need to change my home pc os to Ubuntu 11.04 as soon as possible. I created a USB flash drive to install ubuntu, twice, and both times they failed to begin install on restart of my pc. i read on another forum that you might have to change some boot sequence in BIOS but when pressing F2 to enter it didnt work. After a lot of cursing, I made myself an UBUNTU install cd and booted. To my excitement, it now displayed... try ubuntu and install ubuntu. i clicked install ubuntu which lead me to the preparing to install ubuntu display, i checked download updates while installing and clicked forward. The very next display is ' allocate drive space ' i assume there are meant to be options of drives provided but mine is just a blank box and underneath all the options to create a new partition table, add, change, delete and revert are all greyed out. There is a drop down menu labelled 'device for boot loader installlation' but the only option is /dev/sda. when i click install, a no root file system error comes up telling me to please correct from the partitioning menu. I am extremely frustrated. please!! can anyone help me...

    All, I want to create an object array foo[], where the constructor for Foo is public Foo(string name, string discription){} I have a database object which has a structure (not incuding stored procedures, functions or views for simplicity) like public class Database { public string name { get; set; } public string filename { get; set; } public List<Table> tables { get; set; } public Database(string name, string filename) { this.name = name; this.filename = filename; } } protected internal class Table { public string name { get; set; } public List<Column> columns { get; set;} public Table(string name, List<Column> columns) { this.name = name; this.columns = columns; } } protected internal class Column { public string name { get; set; } public string type { get; set; } public Column(string name, string type, int maxLength, bool isNullable) { this.name = name; this.type = type; } } I would like to know the quickest way to add Column and Table information to the Foo[] object array? Clearly I can do List<Foo> fooList = new List<Foo>(); foreach (Table t in database.tables) { fooList.Add(new Foo(t.Name, "Some Description")); foreach (Column c in t.columns) fooList.Add(new Foo(c.Name, "Some Description")); } Foo[] fooArr = fooList.ToArray<Foo>(); But is there a quicker way? Clearly LINQ is likely to be slower for a query that does a simalar operation, but I care allot about speed here so any advice would be appreciated. Perhaps the use of a HashSet would be the way to go as there will not be duplicate entries... Thanks for your time.
