  • Rename image file on upload php

    - by blasteralfred
    Hi, I have a form which uploads and re sizes image. The html file file submits data to a php file. The script is as follows; Index.html <form action="resizer.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> Image: <input type="file" name="file" /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="upload" /> </form> Resizer.php <?php require_once('imageresizer.class.php'); $imagename = "myimagename"; //Path To Upload Directory $dirpath = "uploaded/"; //MAX WIDTH AND HEIGHT OF IMAGE $max_height = 100; $max_width = 100; //Create Image Control Object - Parameters(file name, file tmp name, file type, directory path) $resizer = new ImageResizer($_FILES['file']['name'],$_FILES['file']['tmp_name'],$dirpath); //RESIZE IMAGE - Parameteres(max height, max width) $resizer->resizeImage($max_height,$max_width); //Display Image $resizer->showResizedImage(); ?> imageresizer.class.php <?php class ImageResizer{ public $file_name; public $tmp_name; public $dir_path; //Set variables public function __construct($file_name,$tmp_name,$dir_path){ $this->file_name = $file_name; $this->tmp_name = $tmp_name; $this->dir_path = $dir_path; $this->getImageInfo(); $this->moveImage(); } //Move the uploaded image to the new directory and rename public function moveImage(){ if(!is_dir($this->dir_path)){ mkdir($this->dir_path,0777,true); } if(move_uploaded_file($this->tmp_name,$this->dir_path.'_'.$this->file_name)){ $this->setFileName($this->dir_path.'_'.$this->file_name); } } //Define the new filename public function setFileName($file_name){ $this->file_name = $file_name; return $this->file_name; } //Resize the image function with new max height and width public function resizeImage($max_height,$max_width){ $this->max_height = $max_height; $this->max_width = $max_width; if($this->height > $this->width){ $ratio = $this->height / $this->max_height; $new_height = $this->max_height; $new_width = ($this->width / $ratio); } elseif($this->height < $this->width){ $ratio = ($this->width / $this->max_width); $new_width = $this->max_width; $new_height = ($this->height / $ratio); } else{ $new_width = $this->max_width; $new_height = $this->max_height; } $thumb = imagecreatetruecolor($new_width, $new_height); switch($this->file_type){ case 1: $image = imagecreatefromgif($this->file_name); break; case 2: $image = imagecreatefromjpeg($this->file_name); break; case 3: $image = imagecreatefrompng($this->file_name); break; case 4: $image = imagecreatefromwbmp($this->file_name); } imagecopyresampled($thumb, $image, 0, 0, 0, 0, $new_width, $new_height, $this->width, $this->height); switch($this->file_type){ case 1: imagegif($thumb,$this->file_name); break; case 2: imagejpeg($thumb,$this->file_name,100); break; case 3: imagepng($thumb,$this->file_name,0); break; case 4: imagewbmp($thumb,$this->file_name); } imagedestroy($image); imagedestroy($thumb); } public function getImageInfo(){ list($width, $height, $type) = getimagesize($this->tmp_name); $this->width = $width; $this->height = $height; $this->file_type = $type; } public function showResizedImage(){ echo "<img src='".$this->file_name." />"; } public function onSuccess(){ header("location: index.php"); } } ?> Everything is working well. The image will be uploaded in it's original filename and extension with a "_" prefix. But i want to rename the image to "myimagename" on upload, which is a variable in "Resizer.php". How can i make this possible?? Thanks in advance :) blasteralfred

  • R: How to tell lapply to ignore an error and process the next thing in the list?

    - by John
    I have an example function below that reads in a date as a string and returns it as a date object. If it reads a string that it cannot convert to a date, it returns an error. testFunction <- function (date_in) { return(as.Date(date_in)) } testFunction("2010-04-06") # this works fine testFunction("foo") # this returns an error Now, I want to use lapply and apply this function over a list of dates: dates1 = c("2010-04-06", "2010-04-07", "2010-04-08") lapply(dates1, testFunction) # this works fine But if I want to apply the function over a list when one string in the middle of two good dates returns an error, what is the best way to deal with this? dates2 = c("2010-04-06", "foo", "2010-04-08") lapply(dates2, testFunction) I presume that I want a try catch in there, but is there a way to catch the error for the "foo" string whilst asking lapply to continue and read the third date?

  • Python: load variables in a dict into namespace

    - by celil
    I want to use a bunch of local variables defined in a function, outside of the function, so I am passing x=locals() as a return value. How can I load all the variables defined in that dictionary into the namespace outside the function, so that instead of accessing the value using x['variable'], I could simply use variable.

  • When onblur occurs, how can I find out which element focus went *to*?

    - by Michiel Borkent
    Suppose I attach an onblur function to an html input box like this: <input id="myInput" onblur="function() { ... }"></input> Is there a way to get the ID of the element which caused the onblur event to fire (the element which was clicked) inside the function? How? For example, suppose I have a span like this: <span id="mySpan">Hello World</span> If I click the span right after the input element has focus, the input element will lose its focus. How does the function know that it was mySpan that was clicked? PS: If the onclick event of the span would occur before the onblur event of the input element my problem would be solved, because I could set some status value indicating a specific element had been clicked. PPS: The background of this problem is that I want to trigger an Ajax.AutoCompleter control externally (from a clickable element) to show its suggestions, without the suggestions disappearing immediately because of the onblur event on the input element. So I want to check in the OnBlur function if one specific element has been clicked, and if so, ignore the blur event.

  • Trouble with loading jquery onload.

    - by Darcy
    Hi guys, I'm trying to build some jquery tabs based on the request (which is stored in a table). I have two pages sharing one .js file. One page is for the user to create the request, and the other is for the administrator to approve/deny the request. On the admin page, here is my javascript code: $(function() { GetRequest(); }); Which is just calling a function I have inside my .js file. All the code in the .js file is also wrapped in a '$(function(){ //...code here })'. The problem is the function isn't built yet when calling it from the page. Is there a way I can tell the page to wait until the script is complete?

  • Is the salt contained in a phpass hash or do you need to salt its input?

The checking that I do fails if the data is empty and displays an empty message. I need to fix this. Any ideas?

  • JavaScript private methods

    - by Wayne Kao
    To make a JavaScript class with a public method I'd do something like: function Restaurant() { } Restaurant.prototype.buy_food = function() { // something here } Restaurant.prototype.use_restroom = function() { // something here } That way users of my class can: var restaurant = new Restaurant(); restaurant.buy_food(); restaurant.use_restroom(); How do I create a private method that my public buy_food and use_restroom methods can call but that users of the class can't call externally. In other words, I want my method implementation to be able to do: Restaurant.prototype.use_restroom = function() { this.private_stuff(); } But this shouldn't work: var r = new Restaurant(); r.private_stuff(); How do I define private_stuff as a private method so both of those hold true? I've read Doug Crockford's writeup a few times but it doesn't seem like "private" methods can be called by public methods and "privileged" methods can be called externally.

  • Custom Collection Initializers

    - by Jake
    Classes that implement IEnumerable and provide a public void Add(/* args */) function can be initialized like in the following example: List<int> numbers = new List<int>{ 1, 2, 3 }; which calls the Add(int) function 3x after initializing the List<int>. Is there a way to define this behavior explicitly for my own classes? For example, could I have the initializer call a function other than the appropriate Add() overload?

  • Create date efficiently

    - by Dave Jarvis
    On Pavel's page is the following function: CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION makedate(year int, dayofyear int) RETURNS date AS $$ SELECT (date '0001-01-01' + ($1 - 1) * interval '1 year' + ($2 - 1) * interval '1 day'):: date $$ LANGUAGE sql; I have the following code: makedate(y.year,1) What is the fastest way in PostgreSQL to create a date for January 1st of a given year? Pavel's function would lead me to believe it is: date '0001-01-01' + y.year * interval '1 year' + interval '1 day'; My thought would be more like: to_date( y.year||'-1-1', 'YYYY-MM-DD'); Am looking for the fastest way using PostgreSQL 8.4. (The query that uses the date function can select between 100,000 and 1 million records, so it needs speed.) Thank you!

  • Multi-Array of XML Requests

    - by sologhost
    OMG, I am in need of a way to set up arrays of XML Requests based on the idShout - 1. So it would be something like this... var req = new Array(); req[idShout - 1] = ALL XML Data... Here's what I got so far but it's not working at all :( var idShout; var req = new Array(); function htmlRequest(url, params, HttpMethod) { req[req.push] = ajax_function(); for (i=0;i<req.length;i++) { if (req[i]) { if (HttpMethod == "GET") { req[i].onreadystatechange = function() { if (req[i].readyState != 4) return; if (req[i].responseText !== null && req[i].status == 200) { document.getElementById("shoutbox_area" + idShout).innerHTML = req[i].responseText; } } } req[i].open(HttpMethod,url,true); if (HttpMethod == "POST") req[i].setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); if (params == "") req[i].send(null); else req[i].send(params); return req[i]; } else return null; } } function ajax_function() { var ajax_request = null; try { // Opera 8.0+, Firefox, Safari ajax_request = new XMLHttpRequest(); } catch (e) { // IE Browsers try { ajax_request = new ActiveXObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP"); } catch (e) { try { ajax_request = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } catch (e) { //No browser support, rare case return null; } } } return ajax_request; } function send() { var send_data = "shoutmessage=" + document.getElementById("shout_message" + idShout).value; var url = smf_prepareScriptUrl(smf_scripturl) + "action=dreamaction;sa=shoutbox;xml;send_shout="+ idShout; htmlRequest(url, send_data, "POST"); document.getElementById("shout_message" + idShout).value = ""; document.getElementById("shout_message" + idShout).focus(); return true; } function startShouts(refreshRate, shoutCount) { clearInterval(Timer[shoutCount-1]); idShout = shoutCount; show_shouts(); Timer[shoutCount - 1] = setInterval("show_shouts()", refreshRate); return; } function show_shouts() { var url = smf_prepareScriptUrl(smf_scripturl) + "action=dreamaction;sa=shoutbox;xml;get_shouts=" + idShout; htmlRequest(url, "", "GET"); } Any help at all on this would be greatly appreciated... Basically, I'm setting the Timer Arrays in a different function before this, and I call startShouts which is supposed to show all of the information, but startShouts gets called more than once, which is why I have idShout set to equal shoutCount. So it will go something like this: shoutCount = 1, shoutCount = 2, shoutCount = 3, everytime it is being called. So I set the req[idShout - 1] array and it should return the result right?? Well, I get no errors in Firefox in the error console with this code above, but it doesn't work... Any ideas anyone?? As it needs to output into more than 1 area... argg. Thanks for any help you can offer here :) Thanks guys :)

Exmaple: public main() { $dataArray = array("one"=>1, "two"=>2, "three"=>3); $a = $this->encryptDecryptInfo(json_encode($dataArray),$this->key); var_dump($a); } public function encryptDecryptInfo($text,$key) { $iv = mcrypt_create_iv(mcrypt_get_iv_size(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $text= base64_encode(mcrypt_encrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key, $text, MCRYPT_MODE_CFB, $iv)); return mcrypt_decrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key, base64_decode($text), MCRYPT_MODE_CFB, $iv); } This will return me the correct value which is string(27) "{"one":1,"two":2,"three":3}" Exmaple 2: public main() { $dataArray = array("one"=>1, "two"=>2, "three"=>3); $a = $this->encryptDecryptInfo(json_encode($dataArray),$this->key,"encrypt"); $b = $this->encryptDecryptInfo($a,$this->key,"decrypt"); var_dump($b); } public function encryptDecryptInfo($text,$key,$type) { $iv = mcrypt_create_iv(mcrypt_get_iv_size(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, MCRYPT_MODE_CFB), MCRYPT_RAND); if($type == "encrypt") return base64_encode(mcrypt_encrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key, $text, MCRYPT_MODE_CFB, $iv)); else return mcrypt_decrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key, base64_decode($text), MCRYPT_MODE_CFB, $iv); } However if I do my code in this way, it will return me strange value which is like this string(27) "?ÔérôŸY éXgíœÈÐN*é౜CµÖ" .Deos anyone know why this is happen?

    I'm trying to compile some code on one of our systems for our DBA...I've edited the makefiles to include the pertinent libraries listed in the documentation, but I keep getting these errors... • What should a PHP generate to give back to a jQuery AJAX request?

    - by Alex Mcp
    Perhaps it's a syntax error, but I never assume that. I have a -dead- simple AJAX test set up: http://www.mcphersonindustries.com/bucket/api.php is a file with simply: <?php echo "test"; ?> And I have Apache as localhost with this jQuery bit running: $(document).ready(function() { function doAjaxPost() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://www.mcphersonindustries.com/bucket/api.php", data: "null", success: function(resp){ console.log("Response: '" + resp + "'"); }, error: function(e){ console.log('Error: ' + e); } }); } doAjaxPost(); }); So Firebug spits out Response: '' each time, but nothing's coming through the request. Do I need to declare a header in PHP? Am I making a boneheaded mistake somewhere? Thanks for the insights, as always.

  • Jquery - dynamic DIV onclick binding

    - by Murtaza RC
    I have a main page from where I am making a call to "load" and intermediate page's HTML and on the completion of the load I am massaging the returned HTML to add a few DIVs etc, when I try to bind an onclick event for the dynamic Divs (added by me after the HTML returned from the intermediate page) it does not seem to work at all !: LOAD : $j(".loader").load(myURLtoIntermediatePage, '', function() { var HTML= '<div id="abcd">test</div>'; ... $j(".pageDIV").append(HTML); } DOCUMENT READY Function $j(document).ready(function() { $j('#abcd').onclick(function() { alert($j(this)); }); });

  • Jquery ajaxStart doesnt get triggered

    - by gnomixa
    This code $("#loading").ajaxStart(function() { alert("start"); $(this).show(); }); in my mark-up <div style="text-align:center;"><img id="loading" src="../images/common/loading.gif" alt="" /></div> Here is the full ajax request: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://localhost/WebServices/Service.asmx/GetResults", data: jsonText, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(response) { var results = (typeof response.d) == 'string' ? eval('(' + response.d + ')') : response.d; PopulateTree(results); }, error: function(xhr, status, error) { var msg = JSON.parse(xhr.responseText); alert(msg.Message); } }); $("#loading").ajaxStart(function() { alert("start"); $(this).show(); }); $("#loading").ajaxStop(function() { alert("stop"); $(this).hide(); $("#st-tree-container").show(); }); never fires alert "start" even though the gif is shown to rotate. AjaxStop gets triggered as expected. Any ideas why?

  • Can't get Zend Studio and PHPunit to work together

    - by dimbo
    I have a created a simple doctrine2/zend skeleton project and am trying to get unit testing working with zend studio. The tests work perfectly through the PHPunit CLI but I just can't get them to work in zend studio. It comes up with an error saying : 'No Tests was executed' and the following output in the debug window : X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.14 ZendServer/5.0 Set-Cookie: ZendDebuggerCookie=127.0.0.1%3A10137%3A0||084|77742D65|1016; path=/ Content-type: text/html <br /> <b>Warning</b>: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in <b>/var/www/z2d2/tests/application/models/UserModelTest.php</b> on line <b>8</b><br /> <br /> <b>Warning</b>: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in <b>/var/www/z2d2/tests/application/models/UserModelTest.php</b> on line <b>8</b><br /> <br /> <b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in <b>/var/www/z2d2/tests/application/models/UserModelTest.php</b> on line <b>8</b><br /> The test is as follows: <?php require_once 'Zend/Application.php'; require_once 'Zend/Test/PHPUnit/ControllerTestCase.php'; abstract class ControllerTestCase extends Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase { public function setUp() { $this->bootstrap = new Zend_Application( 'testing', APPLICATION_PATH .
