I have a memory stream that contains a zip file in byte[] format . Is there any way I can unzip this memory stream, without any need of writing the file to disk ? In general I am using ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.FastZip to unzip a file , But any way to unzip a memory stream ? and store the files in another memorystream or in byte[] format according to the files/folders present in the zip ? Any way I can use the Memorymapped files feature in this scenario ?

  • How to check for a file's authenticity ?

    - by Ale_x
Let's say I write a game application. I want the level of the player to be stored in an external file. How can I prevent a hacker from writing and modifying the file to put another level ? I want the file to be modified by my application only. I can sign the file's content with a key, but then this key will be stored in the application, therefore it would be possible for a hacker to decompile the binary and find the key. Is there any way to do this ?

  • Java classpath and config file

    - by user1228291
I'm having some trouble finding a config file with classpath. I use : InputStream stream = myclass.class.getResourceAsStream("properties.file"); The properties.file is located under config directory. When running the program with eclipse, it works. I just added config folder in the classpath in the launch configuration. But If I want to run the exported jar like this : java -jar -cp C:\project\lib;C:\project\config myclass.jar I get the oh wonderful java.lang.NullPointerException because it can't find the file. This sounds classic and stupid but I can't find a clue. What does eclipse do that I don't ? Thanks

  • Dataset size limit as an xml file.

    - by np
Hi We are currently using DataSet for loading and saving our data to an xml file using Dataset and there is a good possibility that the size of the xml file could get very huge. Either way we are wondering if there is any limit on the size for an xml file so the Dataset would not run into any issues in the future due to the size of it. Please advise. Thanks N

  • How to read large number of rows efficiently using Zend_Db?

    - by Alex N.
Is there a simple :) and efficient way or reading very large number of rows sequentially using Zend_Db? Basically I need to process entire table, row by row. Table is large, primary key sequence is not guaranteed(i.e. not an autoincrement, but is UNSIGNED INT). What's the best way to approach this? Environment: PHP 5.2, Zend Framework 1.10, MySQL 5.1

Note: C++ does not support default-int Error 22 error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'm_pFileW' Those errors are referring to this code: FILE *m_pFileW; Did I missing any library header to use FILE syntax? • A better way of representing File Attachment into a list(c#3.0)

    - by Newbie
I have written List<Attachment> lstAttachment = new List<Attachment>(); //Check if any error file is present in which case it needs to be send if (new FileInfo(Path.Combine(errorFolder, errorFileName)).Exists) { Attachment unprocessedFile = new Attachment(Path.Combine(errorFolder, errorFileName)); lstAttachment.Add(unprocessedFile); } //Check if any processed file is present in which case it needs to be send if (new FileInfo(Path.Combine(outputFolder, outputFileName)).Exists) { Attachment processedFile = new Attachment(Path.Combine(outputFolder, outputFileName)); lstAttachment.Add(processedFile); } Working fine and is giving the expected output. Basically I am attaching the file to the list based on whether the file is present or not. I am looking for any other elegant solution than the one I have written. Reason: Want to learn differnt ways of representing the same program. I am using C#3.0 Thanks.

  • How to write a list to a text file in the correct format

    - by lia1000
I've got this piece of code that I want to write the output to a text file but with the correct format i.e. no brackets, single quotes so it appears as a formatted list. This is the code: file = open("env5.txt", "w"); for key in os.environ.keys(): env = os.environ[key]; key1 = key; list = str([key, env]).replace("'","").replace('[]', ''); list2 = list[1:-1]; print(list2); file.writelines(list2); file.close(); This is the original code: for key in os.environ.keys(): print(key, os.environ[key]); Many thanks

Hello, I have a Win7 PC in use as part of an experiment control system. The script would run at start up, so that the newly booted PC presents the user with the four windows as default. Obviously I can use a batch file in the startup folder to open windows and run applications, but is there a way to specify the layout of these windows? Many thanks Si

  • How to re-open a closed file descriptor

    - by chaitu
I have a scenario where i created pipe for communication between two child and parent. Parent writes (using write function)data to the pipe and closes the respective file descriptor. The problem is when i want to write data again to the pipe, the write function is returning error code -1. I think its because writing end has been closed in previous iteration. Then how to open the corresponding file descriptor after it has been closed once. I tried using open() function which requires path to some file as arguement. But i am not using any files in my application. I have simple file descriptors (int arr[2]). Is it possible to achieve above scenario with pipes????
