What should I do to get it to work with an automatic value change of cell D9 trough a link. • jQuery and regex for adding icons to specific links?!

  I'm using jQuery to add icons to specific links, e.g. a myspace icon for sites starting with http://myspace.com etc. However, I can't figure out how to use regular expressions (if that's even possible here), to make jQuery recognize the link either with or without "www." (I'm very bad at regular expressions in general). Here are two examples: $("a[href^='http://www.last.fm']").addClass("lastfm").attr("target", "_blank"); $("a[href^='http://livejournal.com']").addClass("livejournal").attr("target", "_blank"); They work fine, but I now I want the last.fm link to work with http://last.fm, http://www.last.fm and http://www.lastfm.de. Currently it only works for www.last.fm. I also would like to make the livejournal link work with subdomains links like http://username.livejournal.com How can I do that? Thanks in advance!

• Ubuntu quickly (python/gtk) - how to monitor stdin?

  I'm starting to work with Ubuntu's "quickly" framework, which is python/gtk based. I want to write a gui wrapper for a textmode C state-machine that uses stdin/stdout. I'm new to gtk. I can see that the python print command will write to the terminal window, so I assume I could redirect that to my C program's stdin. But how can I get my quickly program to monitor stdin (i.e. watch for the C program's stdout responses)? I suppose I need some sort of polling loop, but I don't know if/where that is supported within the "quickly" framework. Or is redirection not the way to go - should I be looking at something like gobject.spawn_async?

• Mouseup not working after mousemove on img

  I'm trying to do a simple drag script. The idea is to save the position when the mouse is down, update the view while the mouse is moving, and stop when mouse is up. Problem, mouseup event isn't working properly. See the code: var target = $('a') var pos = 0; var dragging = false; $(document).mousedown(function(e) { pos=e.pageX; dragging = true }) $(document).mouseup(function() { dragging = false }) $(document).mousemove(function(e) { if(dragging){ target.css('left', e.pageX-pos); } }) ?   Hello to all. I need to implement parent page redirection from iframe. I know that it is impossible to do in different domains due to browsers security. However I found that links have target attribute and tried to use it in the following way: <a href="http://google.com" target="_top" id="testParentRedirect">someLink</a> It works fine if I click this link manually, but I couldn't find cross-browser solution to simulate it using javascript. document.getElementById('testParentRedirect').click(); This works fine in IE, however Firefox and Safary don't know click function :). I tried to work with jquery, but for some reason they don't simulate click event for links. (see following post) I couldn't find any appropriate solution on stackoverflow. Maybe someone could help me in it. I will appreciate it. :)

  I'm currently writing a custom forms application that allows a user to design a data capture form. I store the field's ControlType and ControlAssembly in the database and then create them on the forms at runtime. For example: ControlType = `System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox`. ControlAssembly= `System.Web`. So I can therefor create a fully qualified name and create the control doing the following: string target = Assembly.CreateQualifiedName("System.Web", field.ControlType); Type type = Type.GetType(target); Control control = Activator.CreateInstance(type) as Control; But, this will cause an error as "System.Web" is not a valid assembly name. The assembly name itself has to be fully qualified, i.e. System.Web.Extensions would be: "System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" Is there any way I can get the fully qualified name of the assembly System.Web without having to store the entirity of the version, culture and PKT?

• What is the easiest way to send a Javascript array via JSON to PHP?

  I have a few arrays that I want to send to process with PHP. Using json2.js I will stringify the arrays like so: var JSONlinks = JSON.stringify(link_array); var JSONnotes = JSON.stringify(note_array); but then I'm confused. Do I need to use a XMLHttpRequest object? Is there another way? If that is the simplest way, could someone please just share the most basic instance of the code needed in order to send to PHP where I can then use JSON decode? I think it might help others in the future really. I'm currently using Jquery and I know there are many options out there for frameworks and each one may or may not make this process any easier. If you're using a framework in your reply please mention why you'd choose that framework rather than just javascript.

  I was under the impression this is valid SQLite syntax: SELECT *, (SELECT amount AS target FROM target_money WHERE start_year <= p.bill_year AND start_month <= p.bill_month ORDER BY start_year ASC, start_month ASC LIMIT 1) AS target FROM payments AS p; But I guess it's not, because SQLite returns this error: no such column: p.bill_year What's wrong with how I refer to p.bill_year? Yes, I am positive table payments hosts a column bill_year. Am I crazy or is this just valid SQL syntax? It would work in MySQL wouldn't it?? I don't have any other SQL present so I can't test others, but I thought SQLite was quite standardlike.

On my local machine works fine, but on testing environment (when I deploy the application with aspnet_compiler) the application could not found Login.aspx view. So the question is how to deploy such applications? There is a directive from aspnet_compiler to tell the compiler that there are some embedded resources? Thanks

I have two questions: How do I have it only bring in version 3.5 (so that the user doesn't have to install 100+ MB of files)? How do I tell WiX to package these files up into the MSI file, so that the user only has to download 1 file?

  I am looking for an economically sound solution to store pictures long time. I read about the PNG file format that it has superior characteristics compared to JPEG, namely in these categories: no patents, no licenses, no royalities no quality loss yet compressed I have a lot of big ESP's from PhotoShop that contain tons of metadata, like layers and color profiles that I don't need to store (those were handy for the designer, when he worked with it). I want to convert these images without that hidden data, to a new target file format. Another side condition to my question is that the target file format has to be displayable in the browser. So I guess my options are limited anyway: GIF, JPEG, PNG. Am I missing something or is PNG the best fit for my case?
