I have got one project where I need to build a site in site core CMS.
I have never used that CMS.
I want to know that if my programming skills are good because I don't know ASP or ASP.net but do know PHP.
The sites are simple html pages with no logins and processing.
Can I do it few weeks?
I also want the books to be no older than 1 year old. And by textbook i mean i want the author(s) to go into the syntax,semantix,structure of the programming language as well as provide questions/mini projects to test what you learned after every section/chapter.
Which programming language and tools can i use, to develope a complete stand-alone gui-application? This application will be burned on a cd and should run on every windows-pc without any installations.
Many of today's programming languages are based on C; like C++, C#, Java, Objective-C. So could I call a C method from C++ code? Or call C from Java or C#? Or is this goal out of reach and unreasonable? Please include a quick code sample for my and everyone else's understanding.
When you're opening page in IE it downloads lots of files, including CSS, scripts, pictures, SWFs, etc. I need to develop small plugin which will monitor all these URLs and let's say save to file this list.
I need it in Delphi, but any example in any other programming languages will be really appreciated.
I have very little programming knowledge; only a fair bit in Visual Basic.
How do I take a value from a text field, then do some simple math such as divide the value by two, then display it back to the user in the same field?
In Visual Basic you could just do txtBoxOne.text = txtBoxOne.text / 2
I understand this question is more than one question and is very basic stuff, but I need to get my head out of Visual Basic and into where I should be :)
I am a c# developer which finds himself having to relearn c++. The last time I programmed in c++ was in school and am looking for good books as a refresher. I want something that assumes previous programming exposure and gets straight to the point. Is there a book similar to K&R for c++? I know the language is bloated so a book that covers a subset of c++ would be ideal.
I'd like to test whether particular socket options have been set on an existing socket. Ie, pretty much everything you can see in:
#!/usr/bin/env python
'''See possible TCP socket options'''
import socket
sockettypelist = [x for x in dir(socket) if x.startswith('SO_')]
sockettypelist.sort()
for sockettype in sockettypelist:
print sockettype
Anyone know how I can see the options on existing sockets, ie those created by other processes? Alas nearly all the documentation I read on Python socket programming is about making new sockets.
I want to read a big text file, what i decided to create four threads and read 25% of file by each one.
and then join them.
but its not more impressive.
can any one tell me can i use concurrent programming for the same.
as my file structure have some data as
name contact compnay policyname policynumber uniqueno
and I want to put all data in hashmap at last.
thanks
I am looking for a good Tree data structure class. I have come across this package, but since I am relatively new to Python (not programming), I dont know if there are any better ones out there.
I'd like to hear from the Pythonistas on here - do you have a favorite tree script that you regularly use and would recommend?
Programming language : VB6
I have a problem to copy region within a picture deteremined by 4 points(p1,p2,p3,p4), and reskew it to a another picture with fixed rectangle (P1,P2,P3,P4), as shown :
thank you so much in advance for your help
I am trying to learn iPhone/iOS programming. I have an UIPickerView that should dispay its selected row as soon as it becomes visible (it is contained on a flippSideView).
Unfortunately, the flipSideViewController's awakeFromNib is not called. It is too early to call [pickView selectRow ..] from viewWillLoad (the pickView does not exist at that time), and somewhat too late to do it in viewDidAppear.
So, how can I make the pickerView display the selected row as soon it becomes visible?
I mostly use Eclipse but have mentionned Netbeans on my cv. Are there any good concise and up-to-date tutorials apart from the official ones that could bring me up to speed on how to use the platform efficiently (shortcuts, debugging, views ...)? This excludes programming tutorials as I don't really need them unless there's a special manipulation involved.
Not completely a programming question, but its close enough so here goes:
In Mac OS I'll put user-specific files for my app in ~/Library/Application Data/{MyApp}/ and in *nix I'll put them in ~/.{MyApp}/ - where should I put them for Windows?
I'll be using Ruby's File.expand_path to get to this directory, so if there's a windows equivalent of ~ then that's fine.
(Answers for Windows XP, Vista and 7 would be appreciated if they're not the same)
I am interested in understanding object-oriented programming in a more academic and abstract way than I currently do, and want to know if there are any object-oriented concepts Java and C++ fail to implement.
I realise neither of the languages are "pure" OO, but I am interested in what (if anything) they lack, not what they have extra.
Where could I find good resources and examples for learning how to utilize TCP/IP in c# 2.0? Any suggestions on where to start? I'm pretty new at socket programming.
I am looking for a formula that will give me all of the Vector2 Points within a certain radius given the center.
Essentially what I am trying to do is change the color of each pixel in a 256 x 256 texture that is within a certain radius from a specific pixel (Using the Unity3d Game Engine). Programming Language doesn't really matter, as I can probably convert it to something I can use.
What is good book for industry level C++ programming?
I am not looking for a beginners C++ book that talks about datatypes and control structures. I am looking for a more advanced book. For example, how to build system applications using C++.
Any kind of guidance will be very helpful.
