Idealy I would like to have the following: <form1 ...> ... <form2 ...> //This form uploads a file using AJAX and writes the content into a text field below. </form2> <input type="text"/> </form1> Firefox handles this but IE likes to follow the rules of W3C this time and it doesn't really work. So now I have to handle form2 outside of form1 through javascript. Can you provide some help about how to go about this? Thanks in advance.

maintain formatting entered into an html form?

Im setting up a web form, and I'm trying to have it where visitors can paste their resumes into a text area. Then I want to email the info using php mail(). But the resume info is just stored in the variable as one long string with no formatting. Is there a way I can send the pasted resume text to the client in the resume format? Maintaining all the line breaks and stuff? He wants to avoid having people upload resumes.

Problem removing a dynamic form field in jquery

I'm trying to remove a dynamic form field by click a button. It will also subtract whatever values it had from the total amount from my calculation. Loading multiple embedded flash apps onto an HTML page- problem with ordering

We need to load an embedded version of a site written in Flash, and not originally designed to load multiple instances of itself, on a HTML page. The specific issue is how to get them to load in order when embedded, given that they are all being opened by the same instance of the flash player. It's a complicated mapping application, and at the moment, the maps and data get intermixed as the session variables are overwritten by another instance starting to load before the previous one has finished. We need a way to have them load sequentially, one finishing before another starts to load. The most we can specify in the URL is an &order=1 or similar. We have PHP and SQL on the backend. Edit: The embedded versions are being loaded in an iFrame of a parent site. One php file loads one swf, as many times as the parent site desires.

HTML chrome:// page with select box, onChange failing

I have a html page. It is chrome://. I have a select box. Giving it the oncommand attribute won't work. So I have to use onchange however you have the typical problem with onchange where it doesnt work if user uses the keyboard arrows, or letters of items to change things. Is there anyway to attach onCommand to my select box? I want to avoid to use onkeyup as then i have to to validation to see if it really changed (which would require me saving previous values).

JQuery Tabs - HTML not displayed in any other tab except default tab

I'm pretty new to jquery, but I have a tab structure working and make a $.getJSON call to retrieve the JSON results from the backend. Now, I have 3 tabs: Tab1, Tab2 and Tab3. All the three tabs have the same divs but different content. The content shows up just fine in the first tab which is shown by default, but on clicking the 2nd tab, I make the same $.getJSON call and retrieve the JSON just fine, the same HTML is being constructed on the fly and set in the DIV within the tab but it is not being displayed... Any pointers??

We were told to make assumptions based on this information: Customer Invoice is generated from customer orders (Order & Order/Product entities) Supplier Order is generated for products that are low in stock (Product entity) Assumptions A customer can place many orders but an order is placed by only one customer An order can be for many products and a product can be ordered many times A product is supplied by only one supplier, a supplier may supply many products This is one of my modules in university and my lecturer is all but useful, I'm really struggling so any help is really appreciated.

I basically have N rows, and each row contains 4 TD's each with a unique class. I would like a simple way to split out all the rows and TD's by class so I can choose what data I want to use. I have spent over 2 hours scouring the net trying to figure this out. I am trying to stop multiple form submission any faster than 60 seconds. I have this bit of code on my page at the beginning that does the DB query with the previous pages POST results. Do I need to set $last_submit to a certain value? Any help is appreciated.

Play Framework's (2.x) Form class has a method called fold who's usage is indicated as: anyForm.bindFromRequest().fold( f => redisplayForm(f), t => handleValidFormSubmission(t) ) Essentially, the first function parameter is what gets executed on binding failure, and the 2nd on binding success. To me it seems similar to the 'success' and 'error' callbacks of jquery's ajax function. My question is why did the Play developers call the method "fold"? As a disclaimer I am new to Scala, but I am failing to see the connection between this and the functional Scala fold operation. The only similarity is that it is a higher order function; but I don't see any combining that is taking place, nor does it delegate internally in its implementation to any of the Scala fold functions.

I'm working on a programming assignment, and I'm trying to make this button take the values from two textboxes, and calculate the new location for the form window. Empty $_POST data

I am trying to post a post to my MyBB server from a Python script, but try as I might, I can't get it to work. The request shows up in the forensic log and the headers are in the $_SERVER variable, but $_POST is always an empty array. The error log shows nothing, even at the debug level. I've already tried searching, but I haven't found anything that's helped. I already checked the post_max_size thing, which is 8M. Another factor is that it's just my own requests which aren't going through. Browser generated requests seem to do just fine. PHPDOC create a lot of *.php.html files, with a XML header wich is a pain for PHP parser, but how to tell Apache not to pass *.php.html file to PHP and just send back the file to browser? How would one (download and) convert HTML-structures into EPUB (or any other format suitable for the Sony PRS-505 reader)? My question is not how to convert a single HTML file into an EPUB file, as this is easy; what I mean is, I have some books I want to read on my Sony PRS-505 and these books are most often online in HTML format but withmany interlinked pages and there is one page with the list of contents, like this example http://www.edge.org/documents/ThirdCulture/d-Contents.html ... or sometimes it's a little bit more complicated as the list of contents only lists the chapters, and inside the chapters there are links to sub-chapters, like in this example: http:SLASHSLASHwww.hyw.com/Books/WargamesHandbook/Contents.htm (I can only post 1 hyperlink now b/c of user restriction, so this is why there is SLASHSLASH instead of //) I want to convert these examples and several others, with correct chapters, images and some acceptable formatting etc, so basically I want to make a proper ebook out of the HTML-tree. I need help setting up an email newsletter template as one of the columns is not being displayed properly, the column containing heading 2 is not being displayed properly it is being displayed towards right side of the page instead of aligning with the template elements. iphone - direct link to iPhone review form from inside iphone

I am trying to link directly to the review link of one of my Apps. I know that it is possible because Appirater did it in the past, but some change in iTunes turned the API down. Appirater uses this URL NSString *templateReviewURL = @"itms-apps://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?id=APP_ID&onlyLatestVersion=true&pageNumber=0&sortOrdering=1&type=Purple+Software"; where APP_ID is the ID of an application. running this from inside the APP gives me the message Cannot Connect to iTunes Store. This Page talks about another kind of link https://userpub.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZUserPublishing.woa/wa/addUserReview?id=APP_ID&type=Purple+Software and also itms-apps://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?type=Purple+Software&id=APP_ID The first one works, but just from the desktop mac. The second gives me the same error as the first... Cannot Connect to iTunes Store. iTunes link maker is not helping too, because it has no tools for iPad links... Do you guys know how to link to an app's review form from inside an app? In case you don't know, what kind of package should I use to dig this? a package sniffer? thanks for any help.
