    I'm trying to change the links in an iframe to load in a new window instead of the iframe itself. Currently I use this code in head: $(document).ready(function() { var oIFrame = document.getElementById("iframeID"); var oDoc = (oIFrame.contentWindow || oIFrame.contentDocument); if(oDoc.document) oDoc = oDoc.document; var links = oDoc.getElementsByTagName("a"); for(var i=0; i<links.length; i++) { links[i].target="_blank"; } }); However, the code above is triggered before the iframe is fully loaded with its contents. I know this code would work if it's triggered in the body onload attribute, but I'd like to avoid that method and implement it in a function or a file instead.

  • How to detect time on a playing Flash video

    Hi I have a video playing on my page. I want to show and hide some div's when the video reaches a certain point. Lets say hide something on 10th second and show it again on 20th second. I can easily do it in HTML5 with video tag and currentTime attribute but for IE I have to create the same functionality and I think with flash based videos (from YouTube or something like that). Is there a way to detect the current time of a video playing on my website, embeded from YouTube, Metacafe or any other video sharing site? I know I could detect it in flash and make it run some JavaScript function but I don't have flash nor have the skills to do it in AS3. Is it possible to do it from JavaScript level or does any video sharing website out there provides this kind of functionality for their videos?

    Response.Write("<div><input type='submit' name='submit' value='Update Cart' /></div>") Response.Write("<div><input type='submit' name='submit' value='Shop More' /></div>") Response.Write("<div><input type='submit' name='submit' value='Checkout' /></div>") that is some example code from my teacher, but he hasn't answered my email in a couple days so I need some help. When you click the Update Cart button it just updates the cart page it's on, but when you click the Shop More button it links to Shop.aspx a different page, and the Checkout links to another page as well. I can't figure out how it is linking just from that code, anybody have any insights?

  • getJSON triggered from a button inside a form

    I'm having a hard time giving a good description of this, but bear with me: If I have a page structed like this <h2>Chapter 1</h2> <p>Lots of text that has mutiple screen worths of content</p> <h2>Chapter 2</h2> <p>Lots of text...</p> I'd like to have "Chapter 1" absolutely positioned or whatever at the top of the page until the user scrolls down to where "Chapter 2" starts, at which point now "Chapter 2" is displayed at the top of the page. We can add wrapper classes and divs if needed. Solutions that use JQuery would be great.

    I'm looking for a way to implement a bracket style border around my <h2> headings; I've attached an image showing exactly what I'm trying to accomplish. The only way I can think of to achieve this effect is by using images, but I'm unsure of exactly how to do so(all of my <h2>s are of varying length/height, or if maybe there is a better way. Those green color borders that surround the whole div. The tutorial is given but it is German :(. I have it almost working, but I feel like there has to be a better way to handle the tags for a link. Is there an equivalent style for the web? I mean, with a predefined list of widgets that can be defined using a markup language and then control them using code? I have come across Google's Web Toolkit that does something like this but I'd like to hear what other's think as well.

  • Format table header

    I have a table with slanted text in the header row, the only problem is that the text still makes the width of the columns way to large. Is there any way to squish together the table columns so that they are about the width of the select boxes? Or is there a way to place the text there without it in the header and maybe just use a <div> or <p>?
