• How would you go about creating a favorites tab for an iphone application?

  I would like to add a favorites tab to my iphone app that i am developing. I am using core data to populate a UITableView and would like in the detailed view to be able to add the selected item to the users favorites. Would i go about this by adding the selected item to a new array? I am very new to xcode and iphone programming so as much help and code would be gratefully received.

My html is: <input class="bids" name="comment" id="comment" tabindex="4" /> How can I fix this field so that users can't enter random letters, dollar signs, dashes, or other weird formats. • Should I use Java for a custom Swing component designed for a clojure app?

  I want a simple timeline component (like in video editing software) for a clojure/seesaw app and I am wondering if it is a good approach to implement this directly with clojure and seesaw or if I should write it in java and make my clojure wrapper around it. Or more generally: is a functional programming language optimal for writing UI widgets? I cannot imagine doing that without a lot of state involved. And wasn't OO invented for UI-development in the first place?

  I'm trying to use Eclipse + PyDev for studying OpenGL programming but when I type from OpenGL.GL import * from OpenGL.GLUT import * IDE becomes extremely slow! Ok. It isn't a smart idea import to much useless things but it's so useful for learning a new library! Any help? PS: I use Ubuntu with Eclipse Galileo.

  I have a string (R(46 - 9900)) AND ( NOT (R(48 - 9900))) where R denotes Range . If you evaluate the expression it results in R(46-47) , considering the logical operators (AND,NOT). I have a requirement where I need to parse such a string and evaluate it to a correct result . I have to use C++ as a programming tool to achieve this result .   I'm rather new with the whole OSX programming, I wanted to stick a WebView into an empty app. Apparently it isn't as simple as sticking a WebView on a window in interface builder and creating an outlet. IBOutlet WebView *webView; It gives me a expected specifier-qualifier-list before 'WebView' and when I don't use an outlet, it terminates due to uncaught exception. I'm not too sure what these error messages mean. Seems it isn't that simple!

• What's the right Java generic for a collection of elements with unique addressable indices?

  I'm on my way to programming a database application and in our course we are told to implement a library of elements using one of the Java Collections. Each of the elements has a unique ID with which it's supposed to be addressed. Now I am wondering how this can be done. I though about using a ListArray but this won't work because the only way of addressing List elements is through the index which you can't control. Do you have some advice for me?
