  I am trying to load a file into an MySQL(v5.1.38) innodb table using PHP's mysqli::query and a LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE query. The query returns a 'Malformed packet' error code 2027. Any ideas what is wrong? However, I do not want to include these as part of the query user command. Also, there are about 4 servers I do not wish to include. When I supply UserID with this code, the program is promptly exiting. I know it has something to do with the if statement. Is this not possible to nest flow control inside the for-loop? I had tried setting a variable to exactly the names of the servers I wanted to check, but the iteration would end on the first server: set TermServers=Server1.Server2.Server3.Server7.Server8.Server10 for /f "tokens=2 delims=.=" %%Q in ('set TermServers') do ( echo Checking %%Q for /f "tokens=1" %%U in ('query user %UserID% /server:%%Q') do (echo %%Q) ) I would prefer this second example over the first if nothing else for cleanliness. • Best way to manipulate and compare strings

  I'm developing a REST service, so a request could be something like this: /Data/Main/Table=Customers/ I need to get the segments one by one, and for each segment I will decide wich object I'm going to use, after I'll pass to that object the rest of the query so it can decide what to do next. Basically, the REST query is a path on a tree :P This imply lots String operations (depending on the query complexity), but StringBuilder is useful just for concatenations and remove, you cannot perform a search with IndexOf or similar. I've developed this class that fulfill my requirement, but the problem is that is manipulating Strings, so every time I get one segment ... I don't really know how big is the impact on the memory and the performance, I've just readed about it in some books. Should I implement a class that manage a Char[] instead Strings and implement the methods that I want? Or should be ok with this one? Regular expressions maybe?

My problem that instead of showing 1,2 which is the result of the concatenated field, I get [BLOB - 3B]. Query is SELECT rec_id,GROUP_CONCAT(user_id) FROM t1 GROUP BY rec_id (both fields are unsigned int, both are not unique) What should I add to see the actual results?

  I am in the process of implementing the jqGrid and would like to be able to use the sorting functionality. I have run into some issues with sorting columns that are related to the base table. • Do I need to use http redirect code 302 or 307?

  I am working on a CMS that uses a search facility to output a list of content items. You can use this facility as a search engine, but in this instance I am using it to output the current month's Media Releases from an archive of all Media Releases. The default parameters for these "Data Lists" as they are called, don't allow you to specify "current month" or "current year" for publication date - only "last x days" or "from dateA to dateB". The search facility will accept querystring parameters though, so I intend to code around it like this: Page loads How many days into the current month are we? Do we have a query string that asks for a list including this many days? If no, redirect the client back to this page with the appropriate query-string included. If yes, allow the CMS to process the query Now here's the rub. Suppose the spider from your favourite search engine comes along and tries to index your main Media Releases page. If you were to use a 301 redirect to the default query page, the spider would assume the main page was defunct and choose to add the query page to its index instead of the main page. Now I see that 302 and 307 indicate that a page has been moved temporarily; if I do this, are spiders likely to pop the main page into their index like I want them to? • PHP mssql_query double quotes cannot be used

  Hi all, In java-jdbc, I can easily run the following SQL (NOTE the double quotes around columns and table names) Select cus."customer_id" , cus."organisation_or_person" , cus."organisation_name" , cus."first_name" , cus."last_name" , cus."date_became_customer" , cus."other_customer_details" From "Contact_Management"."dbo"."Customers" cus But the same query in PHP errors out saying invalid syntax "Warning: mssql_query() [function.mssql-query]: message: Incorrect syntax near 'customer_id'. (severity 15) " But If remove all the double quotes, the query works fine and no errors. The query is ported from a java application so I would like to keep the double quotes and the SQL as it is. • SimpleDOM sortedXPath date sorting works on localhost but not on remote server.

  Here's what i'm trying to do: 1) Take a basic XML page (data.xml) 2) Load it with simpleDOM 3) Use simpleDOM sortedXPath to sort all XML items by their pubDate 4) Display sorted output Here is the code I currently have. My code below outputs exactly what I need when run it on my localhost (XAMPP w/PHP 5.3) but on my remote server (which has at least PHP 5.0+) all is lost and a completely blank page is output. It will output the $xml array with print_r though.   I have a set of unit tests, each with a bunch of methods, each of which produces output in the TestResults folder. At the moment, all the test files are jumbled up in this folder, but I'd like to bring some order to the chaos. Ideally, I'd like to have a folder for each test method. I know I can go round adding code to each test to make it produce output in a subfolder instead, but I was wondering if there was a way to control the output folder location with the Visual Studio unit test framework, perhaps using an initialization method on each test class so that any new tests added automatically get their own output folder without needing copy/pasted boilerplate code?

  Hello, Can anybody help me with this problem in C or Java? The problem is taken from here: http://acm.pku.edu.cn/JudgeOnline/problem?id=1104 Inspector Robstop is very angry. Last night, a bank has been robbed and the robber has not been caught. And this happened already for the third time this year, even though he did everything in his power to stop the robber: as quickly as possible, all roads leading out of the city were blocked, making it impossible for the robber to escape. Then, the inspector asked all the people in the city to watch out for the robber, but the only messages he got were of the form "We don't see him." But this time, he has had enough! Inspector Robstop decides to analyze how the robber could have escaped. To do that, he asks you to write a program which takes all the information the inspector could get about the robber in order to find out where the robber has been at which time. Coincidentally, the city in which the bank was robbed has a rectangular shape. The roads leaving the city are blocked for a certain period of time t, and during that time, several observations of the form "The robber isn't in the rectangle Ri at time ti" are reported. Assuming that the robber can move at most one unit per time step, your program must try to find the exact position of the robber at each time step. Input The input contains the description of several robberies. The first line of each description consists of three numbers W, H, t (1 <= W,H,t <= 100) where W is the width, H the height of the city and t is the time during which the city is locked. The next contains a single integer n (0 <= n <= 100), the number of messages the inspector received. The next n lines (one for each of the messages) consist of five integers ti, Li, Ti, Ri, Bi each. The integer ti is the time at which the observation has been made (1 <= ti <= t), and Li, Ti, Ri, Bi are the left, top, right and bottom respectively of the (rectangular) area which has been observed. (1 <= Li <= Ri <= W, 1 <= Ti <= Bi <= H; the point (1, 1) is the upper left hand corner, and (W, H) is the lower right hand corner of the city.) The messages mean that the robber was not in the given rectangle at time ti. The input is terminated by a test case starting with W = H = t = 0. This case should not be processed. Output For each robbery, first output the line "Robbery #k:", where k is the number of the robbery. Then, there are three possibilities: If it is impossible that the robber is still in the city considering the messages, output the line "The robber has escaped." In all other cases, assume that the robber really is in the city. Output one line of the form "Time step : The robber has been at x,y." for each time step, in which the exact location can be deduced. (x and y are the column resp. row of the robber in time step .) Output these lines ordered by time . If nothing can be deduced, output the line "Nothing known." and hope that the inspector will not get even more angry. Output a blank line after each processed case.

• How can arguments to variadic functions be passed by reference in PHP?

  Assuming it's possible, how would one pass arguments by reference to a variadic function without generating a warning in PHP? We can no longer use the '&' operator in a function call, otherwise I'd accept that (even though it would be error prone, should a coder forget it). What inspired this is are old MySQLi wrapper classes that I unearthed (these days, I'd just use PDO). Constant-arity functions (e.g. bind_param) can be explicitly defined, allowing for pass-by-reference. bind_result, however, needs all arguments to be pass-by-reference. If you call bind_result on an instance of MySQLi_stmt_throwing as-is, the arguments are passed by value and the binding won't take. try { $id = Null; $stmt = $db->prepare('SELECT id FROM tbl WHERE ...'); $stmt->execute() $stmt->bind_result($id); // $id is still null at this point ... } catch (DBException $exc) { ... } Since the above classes are no longer in use, this question is merely a matter of curiosity. Alternate approaches to the wrapper classes are not relevant. Defining a method with a bunch of arguments taking Null default values is not correct (what if you define 20 arguments, but the function is called with 21?). Answers don't even need to be written in terms of MySQL_stmt_throwing; it exists simply to provide a concrete example.

I try to run the query but I get the error missing keyword in the line 21 column 13. I am sure that this is not the only potential error that I have.   Hey I have run into the following problem when attempting to build a program in java which executes commands on a remote linux server and returns the output for processing... Basically I have installed Cygwin with an SSH client and want to do the following: Open Cygwin, Send command "user@ip"; Return output; Send command "password"; Return output; Send multiple other commands, Return output; ...etc... So far: Process proc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C:/Power Apps/Cygwin/Cygwin.bat"); Works nicely except I am at a loss as to how to attempt the next steps. Any help?

  I'm trying to set the pager used for Mercurial but the output is empty, even if I specify the command in the [pager] section or as the PAGER environment variable. I noticed that the command provided is launched with cmd.exe. Is this the cause of empty output, and if yes, what is the right syntax? Environment: Mercurial 1.5, Mecurial 1.4.3 hgrc: [extensions] pager = [pager] pager = d:\tools\less\less.exe Sample command lines (from Process Explorer): hg diff c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /c "d:\tools\less\less.exe 2> NUL:" d:\tools\less\less.exe UPDATE In pager.py, by replacing: sys.stderr = sys.stdout = util.popen(p, "wb") with sys.stderr = sys.stdout = subprocess.Popen(p, stdin = subprocess.PIPE, shell=False).stdin I managed to obtain the desired output for the hg status and diff. BUT, I'm sure it's wrong (or at least incomplete), and I have no control over the pager app (less.exe): the output is shown in the cmd.exe window, I can see the less prompt (:) but any further input is fed into cmd.exe. It seems that the pager app is still active in the background: after typing exit in the cmd.exe window, I have control over the pager app, and I can terminate it normally.   Short and sweet version: On one machine out of around a hundred test machines decimal.TryParse() is converting "1.01" to 0.01 Okay, this is going to sound crazy but bare with me... We have a client applications that communicates with a webservice through JSON, and that service returns a decimal value as a string so we store it as a string in our model object: [DataMember(Name = "value")] public string Value { get; set; } When we display that value on screen it is formatted to a specific number of decimal places. So the process we use is string - decimal then decimal - string. The application is currently undergoing final testing and is running on more than 100 machines, where this all works fine. However on one machine if the decimal value has a leading '1' then it is replaced by a zero. I added simple logging to the code so it looks like this: Log("Original string value: {0}", value); decimal val; if (decimal.TryParse(value, out val)) { Log("Parsed decimal value: {0}", val); string output = val.ToString(format, CultureInfo.InvariantCulture.NumberFormat); Log("Formatted string value: {0}", output); return output; } On my machine - any every other client machine - the logfile output is: Original string value: 1.010000 Parsed decimal value: 1.010000 Formatted string value: 1.01 On the defective machine the output is: Original string value: 1.010000 Parsed decimal value: 0.010000 Formatted string value: 0.01 So it would appear that the decimal.TryParse method is at fault. Things we've tried: Uninstalling and reinstalling the client application Uninstalling and reinstalling .net 3.5 sp1 Comparing the defective machine's regional settings for numbers (using English (United Kingdom)) to those of a working machine - no differences. Has anyone seen anything like this or has any suggestions? I'm quickly running out of ideas... While I was typing this some more info came in: Passing a string value of "10000" to Convert.ToInt32() returns 0, so that also seems to drop the leading 1.
