I've already taken the time to go to the database and fill my object with values when the page loads initially, so how can I save this object in an elegant way on a PostBack? • Static field in class - Is it a re-instantiated for each static method call?

  If I have a static class with a static field such as: private static myField = new myObject(); I then have a bunch of static methods that use myField. Is myField re-instantiated for each method call? My guess is that it's instantiated the first time a method is called that uses it and it remains in memory until the GC clears it up?   I have a few classes that read from very delicate tables, which is why I want them to be used by NHibernate as "ReadOnly". Establishing .ReadOnly() on each field map is really sloppy, and I'm not sure I trust it. How do I setup a class to be entirely readonly, as I can easily do with traditional XML mappings? Thanks.

  I assigned these classes menu second_menu menu_about_author to ul so the html code looks like <ul class="menu second_menu menu_about_author"> I wanted this ul to have the same properties like menu and second_menu and then I wanted to move the menu_about_author little bit down.
