  • Actionscript can't call javasript from locally-saved html

    I try to perform calling of a javascript function from actionscript 3.0 thru ExternalInterface.call(). I've seen a lot of online examples where the method works perfectly. But all downloaded copies of the examples don't work. Flash player can't call javasript due to the swf-html container security problems. I've already tried to set allowScriptAccess value from "sameDomain" to "always". It haven't solved the problem.

  • IE image map remains clickable behind another div

    I have an Image Map of the United States. When you click on a state, the map fades out and a map of that state appears with an image map of the area codes in the state. In Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, the state map becomes clickable and the United States map becomes unclickable until you close the sate popover. However in Internet Explorer, the United States map remains clickable through the state popover, and I cannot click on any area codes.   • Ajax doesn't trigger a change-event on a webkit based browser

    I have adapted a Jquery plugin to for-fill my needs to send GET requests to servers as a way of "pinging" them. I've also added some javascript code to add some fancy features like: depending on the changed value in a that the Jquery plugin changes, it changes the Icon accordingly. To make it all work essentially, I made so that when Ajax gets a "complete" event, it forces a "onChange" event to the span, triggering the javascript validation function to change the status icons.     Hello, I'm a bit confused about Javascript undefined & null. Firstly what does if (!testvar) actually do? Does it test for undefined and null or just undefined? Secondly, once a variable is defined can I clear it back to undefined (therefore deleting the variable).     Hi Folks, I have a scenario in which I have 2 Submit Buttons in a form for going back and forward. Both the buttons have different JavaScript associated with it. It is working great if we press these buttons to navigate. But when in Google Chrome, when someone press enter on any of the text box within the Form it does not calls the onClick of the button. Is there any work around for that. Thanks
