    I read in another question that you can increase the JRE memory allowance for an app through Window - Preferences in Eclipse, but I can't seem to find anything related to heap memory allocation. Editing -xms/xmx values in eclipse.ini doesn't help since those are for Eclipse itself.

To my knowledge it gives the retention and expiration period that it is gonna reside on disk and the possible values I have observed are BKUP35, NOBKNLIM etc. What are these stand for and what else are the possible value for this parameter?     I am working in phpMyadmin using SQL. I want to take the primary key (EntryID) from TableA and create a cartesian product (if I am using the term correctly) in TableB (empty table already created) for all entries which share the same value for FieldB in TableA, except where TableA.EntryID equals TableA.EntryID So, for example, if the values in TableA were: TableA.EntryID TableA.FieldB 1 23 2 23 3 23 4 25 5 25 6 25 The result in TableB would be: Primary key EntryID1 EntryID2 FieldD (Default or manually entered) 1 1 2 Default value 2 1 3 Default value 3 2 1 Default value 4 2 3 Default value 5 3 1 Default value 6 3 2 Default value 7 4 5 Default value 8 4 6 Default value 9 5 4 Default value 10 5 6 Default value 11 6 4 Default value 12 6 5 Default value I am used to working in Access and this is the first query I have attempted in SQL. I started trying to work out the query and got this far. I know it's not right yet, as I’m still trying to get used to the syntax and pieced this together from various articles I found online. In particular, I wasn’t sure where the INSERT INTO text went (to create what would be an Append Query in Access). SELECT EntryID FROM TableA.EntryID TableA.EntryID WHERE TableA.FieldB=TableA.FieldB TableA.EntryID<>TableA.EntryID INSERT INTO TableB.EntryID1 TableB.EntryID2 After I've got that query right, I need to do a TRIGGER query (I think), so if an entry changes it's value in TableA.FieldB (changing it’s membership of that grouping to another grouping), the cartesian product will be re-run on THAT entry, unless TableB.FieldD = valueA or valueB (manually entered values). I have been using the Designer Tab. Does there have to be a relationship link between TableA and TableB. If so, would it be two links from the EntryID Primary Key in TableA, one to each EntryID in TableB? I assume this would not work because they are numbered EntryID1 and EntryID2 and the name needs to be the same to set up a relationship? If you can offer any suggestions, I would be very grateful. In order to make function calls to our back-end php code we've implemented something called an ActionProxy like this: function ActionProxy(action, input, callback){ $.post("ActionProxy.php?method="+action, { data: input}, function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest){ //return data.ResponseWhatever } }); The problem we're having is that using data outside the ActionProxy is impossible due to variable scope limitations (we assume), setting var res = data.ResponseWhatever or return data.ResponseWhatever is pretty futile. How would one handle these responses most appropriately so that functions calling the actionproxy can access the response values?

  • How to pass non-fatal warnings from a library

    A library function parses a file and returns an object. If a parser encounters unknown data, missing values etc., it shouldn't throw an exception and stop parsing (because this is not fatal), but there should be a way to pass information about these things to a caller (so that warnings can be displayed in the UI, for example). How can these warning be returned? I'm thinking of passing a callback function/object into the library, are there any other possible solutions?

    Apologies if my terminology is off, I'm new to C#. I'm trying to use an ApplicationContext file to store mysql conn values, like dbname, username, password. The class with mysql conn string is "using" the namespace for the ApplicationContext, but when I print out the connection string, the values are making it. A friend said, "I'm not initializing it" but couldn't stay to expand on what "it" was. and the "Console.WriteLine("1");" in ApplicationContext.cs never shows up. Do I need to create an ApplicationContext object and the call Initialize() on that object? Thanks for any help.     I am using Firefox's native JSON.parse() to parse some JSON strings that include regular expressions as values, for example: var test = JSON.parse('{"regex":"/\\d+/"}'); The '\d' in the above throws an exception with JSON.parse(), but works fine when I use eval (which is what I'm trying to avoid). What I want is to preserve the '\' in the regex - is there some other JSON-friendly way to escape it?

    I've managed to plug away through the YouTube documentation, and have managed to successfully implement the majority of what I want to work. My question is, I get the video View count and it comes back lower than the actual video on YouTube. It was fine this morning and both showed correctly, but now my version is out by 4 views. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or can tell me if they update the values every 5/10/15/24 hours?

    I'm having trouble with a JVM running an app, whose heap memory looks like a comb. It's constantly jumping from 1.5 GB to 3 GB and slowly deteriorating to higher values. I'm using G1 GC algorithm, but have no idea how to configure it. I do not have access to the code of the app I'm running and, needless to say, it's a rather large app. So, bottom line, does anyone know of a good guide to configure GC in Java?

  • getAttribute cannot return class in IE7?

    I need to find random nodes according to random attribute values. To do that I use getAtrribute on nodes from getElementsByTagName. It seems like when I look for class name as attribute it does not work on IE (works on FF). Anyone know if getAtrribute doesn't work only on 'class' or other attributes as well? (if its only class I'll do a workaround.)
