• Setting up OpenGL camera with off-center perspective

  Hi, I'm using OpenGL ES (in iOS) and am struggling with setting up a viewport with an off-center distance point. Consider a game where you have a character in the left hand side of the screen, and some controls alpha'd over the left-hand side. The "main" part of the screen is on the right, but you still want to show whats in the view on the left. However when the character moves "forward" you want the character to appear to be going "straight", or "up" on the device, and not heading on an angle to the point that is geographically at the mid-x position in the screen. I'm no OpenGL expert, so i'm hoping someone can suggest some ideas or tricks on how to "off-center" these model views in OpenGL. Thanks!

  I know that component-model indicates whether a property has a default value or not, by means of ShouldSerializeValue method of PropertyDescriptor. The base windows-forms Control class, has some properties like ForeColor, BackColor and Font, that defaults to the same value of the parent, but I could not find any TypeDescriptor or PropertyDescriptor that provides these default values. The Control class does not implement ICustomTypeDescriptor nor has a TypeDescriptionProviderAttribute. How does the Control class indicates that these properties should be serialized or not? Where does it provide the PropertyDescriptors for these properties?? Thanks!!!

  I am writing a tool to create an otf or ttc with only characters defined in our localized string table, so we can cut down memory usage. I already have the information for the Japanese characters we are using but I am unable to find an example of creating a new font based around these characters. Does anyone know of a good example or even the interface I can access to do this? I am working in C# with .NET 3.5.   Hi all, I'm trying to transfer large file(1Gb+) using UDP(in packets) through air application. I'm transfering byteArray by taking chunks of packets from FileStream. But its giving 'Error #1000: The system is out of memory' at sender side after certain number of packets sent and by this time the downloaded file size at server side is 256 MB. I tried with other files but after downloading 256MB, sender is giving the same error. Is it because of the file stream size? How can I solve this problem so that I can transfer files of GB size.

  I am trying to write a document that can only be read by humans. The document content can't be copied. For that purpose, I am converting its pages to pictures and adding them back to a PDF file. The main issue is that any OCR program can get back the whole written text, especially that the page is going to be clear (as opposed to a scanned book) which will increase the OCR accuracy. So, is there a font that can't be recognized by an OCR. Otherwise, is there a technique that will make my document only readable by humans, yet unrecognised by an OCR? Now problem is i do not know the size of filtered results, so i can not initialize the array with specific value. And i do not want it to be large size will null values because i am using array.length; later on. One way is to first loop the original input array and set a counter, and then make another loop with that counter length and initialize and fill this array[]. I googled, but didn't found any solution. Indirect way My next idea was to get the path to the video-file itself and make a get-request. In the response-headers I could check for the file size. So I searched for "video / download / youtube / java". Some time ago youtube used get_video_info but this doesn't work today. I also found an application called JavaYoutubeDownloader but it seems VERY complicated for just getting the file size and it doesn't work either (just prints finish, without downloading anything). So is there a way to get the filesize of a video on youtube by using Java? If not, what would be a practical solution for this problem (a list of video_ids exists)?

  I need to strip out all font tags from a document. When attempting to do so with the following Ruby code, other elements and text within the font tags are lost. I've also attempted to iterate through all children elements and make them siblings of the font tag before unlinking the font tag--which also results in lost HTML.
