Thanks.
Hello, I am confused about the two terms. What is the difference in browser-side javascript programming? I use dojo as framework. And there is only the concept of domNode. But browser debugger always told me something as htmlelement. Are they just the same thing with different names, or with some subtle differences?
Thanks.
I have searched my entire Mac for ibplugin to find the QTKit IBPlugin, but I also came accros a plugin which adds AFAssistantPane to IB. I did a Google-search but Google has no results for it. So, does anyone know how I can use this AFAssistantPane?

Update: I noted that this is in a private framework (that's why it is not documented).
I would like to convert this fluent approach to xml:
container.Register(
AllTypes.FromAssemblyNamed("Company.DataAccess")
.BasedOn(typeof(IReadDao<>)).WithService.FromInterface(),
AllTypes.FromAssemblyNamed("Framework.DataAccess.NHibernateProvider")
.BasedOn(typeof(IReadDao<>)).WithService.Base());
Is there any way of doing this, maintaining the simplicity?

I'm currently using and enjoying using the Flex MVC framework PureMVC. I have heard some good things about Cairngorm, which is supported by Adobe and has first-to-market momentum. And there is a new player called Mate, which has a good deal of buzz.
Has anyone tried two or three of these frameworks and formed an opinion?
Thanks!
Hello,
I am just studying the code of Sacha Barbers MVVM framework Chinch and I saw this in the xxxViewModel.cs file:
DataService.FetchAllOrders(CurrentCustomer.CustomerId.DataValue);
DataService is a Static class. Being a junior dev I am only used to Interfaces with Data services. Why is that class static?
Or do you think he made it just for the example?
So is that a good approach?
Hi,
I want to develop an application that runs on any windows platform (XP, Vista, 7) but does not require a dependency like .NET Framework or JVM. I have given the other requirements below:
Runs in any windows platform
Must have GUI libraries to create windows/primitive controls
I also want the output file size of the application to be minimal (So cannot include .net frameword etc in the exe file)
Any suggestions for this requirement?

Hi,
I'm starting to write a application in php with one of my friends and was wondering, if you have any advice on how to implement module support into our application.
Or is there a way how to automatically load modules written in php by a php application? Or should i just rely on __autoload function?
And we are not using any kind of framework, for now at least.
I'm a .NET developer learning Java EE. These two concepts seem to serve the same exact purposes in either system.
So which framework gets credit for inventing them?

So I'm trying to use the django 1.1 template engine with the google app engine web app framework, from here. This is on Ubuntu Jaunty, I've made sure that the PYTHONPATH contains the location of Django-1.1.1 yet I'm getting this 'ImportError: No module named django' error when it tries to execute the use_library() line below. Again, could somebody help me? I'm stumped.
import os
os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'settings'
from google.appengine.dist import use_library
use_library('django', '1.1')

Hey SO,
I've got a pretty noob question for ya. I keep seeing this syntax:
<%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Email) %>
...and I have no idea what the = means. I thought it was syntax for linq2sql or ado.net entity framework but I'm just using straight ado.net. I don't understand why the VWD used that syntax when generating the Create form.
What does = mean?
From what I read on the internets, WCF Data Services seem to be bound to data access via Entity Framework on the server.
Is there a way to have NHibernate access mapped in the same way?
