    I am using spring mvc in which i convert the arraylist into json string. I have one object 1) results. My output from spring looks like this: { "data":"[{\"userName\":\"test1\",\"firstName\":\"test\",\"lastName\":\"user\"}, {\"userName\":\"test2\",\"firstName\":\"test1\",\"lastName\":\"user1\"}]", } I get output as null when i do '$.parseJSON' with this output. When i tried testing only with data object it works fine Any help would be great.

    Here are 2 different versions of a program: this Program: #!/usr/bin/ksh printmsg() { i=1 print "hello function :)"; } i=0; echo I printed `printmsg`; printmsg echo $i Output: # ksh e I printed hello function :) hello function :) 1 and Program: #!/usr/bin/ksh printmsg() { i=1 print "hello function :)"; } i=0; echo I printed `printmsg`; echo $i Output: # ksh e I printed hello function :) 0 The only difference between the above 2 programs is that printmsg is 2times in the above program while printmsg is called once in the below program. My Doubt arises here: To quote Be warned: Functions act almost just like external scripts... except that by default, all variables are SHARED between the same ksh process! If you change a variable name inside a function.... that variable's value will still be changed after you have left the function!! But we can clearly see in the 2nd program's output that the value of i remains unchanged. But we are sure that the function is called as the print statement gets the the output of the function and prints it. So why is the output different in both?

  • Sql Server 2000 Stored Procedure Prevent Parallelism or something?

    I have a huge disgusting stored procedure that wasn't slow a couple months ago, but now is. I barely know what this thing does and I am in no way interested in rewriting it. I do know that if I take the body of the stored procedure and then declare/set the values of the parameters and run it in query analyzer that it runs more than 20x faster. From the internet, I've read that this is probably due to a bad cached query plan. So, I've tried running the sp with "WITH RECOMPILE" after the EXEC and I've also tried putting the "WITH RECOMPLE" inside the sp, but neither of those helped even a little bit. When I look at the execution plan of the sp vs the query, the biggest difference is that the sp has "Parallelism" operations all over the place and the query doesn't have any. Can this be the cause of the difference in speeds? Thank you, any ideas would be great... I'm stuck.

    I have a simple, uncorrelated subquery that performs very poorly on SQL Server. I'm not very experienced at reading execution plans, but it looks like the inner query is being executed once for every row in the outer query, even though the results are the same each time. What can I do to tell SQL Server to execute the inner query only once?   • Is there "good" PRNG generating values without hidden state?

    I need some good pseudo random number generator that can be computed like a pure function from its previous output without any state hiding. Under "good" I mean: I must be able to parametrize generator in such way that running it for 2^n iterations with any parameters should cover all or almost all values between 0 and 2^n - 1, where n is the number of bits in output value. Combined generator output of n + p bits must cover all or almost all values between 0 and 2^(n + p) - 1 if I run it for 2^n iterations for every possible combination of its parameters, where p is the number of bits in parameters. For example, LCG can be computed like a pure function and it can meet first condition, but it can not meet second one. Say, we have 32-bit generator, m = 2^32 and it is constant, our p = 64 (two 32-bit parameters a and c), n + p = 96, so we must peek data by three ints from output to meet second condition. Unfortunately, condition can not be meet because of strictly alternating sequence of odd and even ints in output. To overcome this, hidden state must be introduced, but that makes function not pure and breaks first condition (period become much longer). Am I wanting too much?

    I am writing a small jQuery plugin to update a set of Divs with content obtained using Ajax calls. I was thinking of adding a "start" and "stop" instead of the "handlers" function and subsequently storing the setInterval handler like this: start: function(divNum) { divs[divNum] = setInterval("$.fn.jDIV.query(" + i + ")", 5000); }, stop: function(divNum) { clearInterval(divs[divNum]); } I did not use jQuery to setup and destroy the event handlers. Is there a better approach (perhaps using more of jQuery) to achieve this?

  • How to detect column conflicts with Hibernate?

    So let's say I have an ArrayList full of Products that need to be committed to the database via Hibernate. There are already a large number of Products in the database. Each product has an ID. Note this is NOT the PK that is autogenerated by Hibernate. My questions is: what is the best way to detect conflicts with this ID? I am looking for a relatively efficient method of obtaining, from the the database, a List of Products that share an ID with any of the Products in my ArrayList. This is all in a single table called Products and the ID attribute is in column ProductID. The way I've done it is grabbing a list of all Products in the database, and compared each one with each entry in my ArrayList - but that is seriously inefficient and I don't think it would work well with a larger database. How should it be done? Thanks. I say "relatively" efficient because efficiency is not the primary concern, but it shouldn't take noticeably long to test against a table of ~1000-5000 rows. Help? EDIT* I'm very new to hibernate and below is the best I've come up with. But in this moment I don't know how can I determinate this, since count($paginator) doesn't work anymore because of $paginator->getAdapter()->setRowCount(200);and I'm using this because it taks about 7 sec for Zend_Paginator to count the page numbers. So how can I find If my query has any results?

  • Entity Framework + MySQL - Why is the performance so terrible?

    When I decided to use an OR/M (Entity Framework for MySQL this time) for my new project I was hoping it would save me time, but I seem to have failed it (for the second time now). Take this simple SQL Query SELECT * FROM POST ORDER BY addedOn DESC LIMIT 0, 50 It executes and gives me results in less than a second as it should (the table has about 60,000 rows). Here's the equivalent LINQ To Entities query that I wrote for this var q = (from p in db.post orderby p.addedOn descending select p).Take(50); var q1 = q.ToList(); //This is where the query is fetched and timed out But this query never even executes it times out ALWAYS (without orderby it takes 5 seconds to run)! My timeout is set to 12 seconds so you can imagine it is taking much more than that. Why is this happening? Is there a way I can see what is the actual SQL Query that Entity Framework is sending to the db? Should I give up on EF+MySQL and move to standard SQL before I lose all eternity trying to make it work? I've recalibrated my indexes, tried eager loading (which actually makes it fail even without the orderby clause) Please help, I am about to give up OR/M for MySQL as a lost cause.

With this in place, if I access the url "/Forums" It loads the forum content in the Blog tab first, trigger the ajax load of the Blog tab and replace the content with the blog content. I tried putting a different placeholder for each tab, but that didn't fix everything either, since when loading "/Forums" it will sure load the forum tab, but the Blog tab will show up first. Furthermore, when using separate placeholders, If I load the "/Blogs" url, It will first load the content statically in the Blog contentplaceholder and then trigger an ajax call to load it a second time and replace it. If I just link the tab to the hashtag, then when loading the forum tabs, I won't get the blog content... How would you achieve the expected behaviour? I feel like I might have a deeper probelm in the organization of my views. Is putting the tabs in the masterpage the way to go? Maybe I should just hijax the links manually and not rely on jquery-ui tabs to do the work for me. I cannot load all tabs by default and display them using the hash tags, I need an ajax loading because it is a search process that can be long. So to sum up : /Forum should load the forum tab, and let the other tabs be loaded with an ajax call when clicking on it. /Twitter should load the twitter tab and let the other tabs.... the same goes for /Blogs and any tabs I would add later.

    I am working with a LINQ to SQL query and have run into an issue where I have 4 optional fields to filter the data result on. By optional, I mean has the choice to enter a value or not. Specifically, a few text boxes that could have a value or have an empty string and a few drop down lists that could have had a value selected or maybe not... Product Number - Comes from another table that can be joined to TagsHeaders. PO Number - a field within the TagsHeaders table. Order Number - Similar to PO #, just different column. Product Status - If the user selected this from a drop down, need to apply selected value here. The query I already have is working great, but to complete the function, need to be able to add these 4 other items in the where clause, just don't know how!

    Hello, I wonder if anyone knows how could I rename multiple files, all of them originally named with same structure, and add some data extracted from a mysql DB according to specifics rules. For example I have 500 files named with this vars: ID NAME ADDRESS PHONE.wav = 1234567 PAULSIMON WESTDR122 9942213456.wav Now I need to rename files taking some data from the databases for each file, and append the data from a query appended to the filename. For example add the data resulting from a query Where some conditions match, and the data to build the query is taked from original file name, as ID or NAME. i other words, lets say that I want to build a query taking ID & NAME from file 1234567 PAULSIMON WESTDR123 9942213456.wav as WHERE statements to take another value as BirthDATE and add this to new filename, so final result should be: ID NAME ADDRESS PHONE BIRTHDATE.wav I will appreciate any help on this. I need this to be done on a LINUX server.

I mean shouldnt the depency query read from the procedure and not from the database ? If not is there a query that reads from the procedure and not from database ? Edit ok I will make it clear : my question USER_DEPENDENCIES read from the procedure or the database ? My second question does the recycle bin always shows ? I mean is there times where the result of the recylebin disapear ?

  • HQL - row identifier for pagination

    Does anyone know if HQL has a keyword to identify rows such as ROWID or ROWNUM? I would like to implement pagination with HQL but I am not able to use .setMaxResult() or .setFirstResult() because I don't work with the session object directly and therefore don't use the Query object but simply create my query as a string and use the .find() method. I tried using LIMIT and OFFSET in my query, but HQL seems to be ignoring these keywords and is returning the whole result to me no matter what. I'm also not able to use Hibernate criteria because it does not have support for the "HAVING" clause that appears in my query. My last resort is to restrict the result set using the ROWNUM/ROWID keyword. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

    Hello, I am using a PHP file called comments.php that has a query that enters values into a mySQL table called "comment." As the query does this, it auto-generates a field called "commentid", which is set to auto_increment in MySQL. The file also contains a loop what echoes out all comments for a given submission. It all works fine and dandy, but I want to simultaneously pull this "commentid" and turn it into a hashtag / anchor that when appended to the end of the URL makes that comment at the top of the user's browser. Someone said on another question that in order to do this one thing I should do is create an anchor on the row where the comment is being printed out. How can I do this?     I have two DIVs, #placeholder AND #imageLoad. When the user clicks on a particular thumb its larger version (thumb2) should then appear in #imageLoad DIV.
