  • SmartGWT Program not displaying getting wnd.isc.Browser is null

    When running my gwt program in GWT Development Mode it fails to display showing this error in the console: com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (TypeError): '$wnd.isc.Browser' is null or not an object I do not believe the error is due to my project setup. Other member of the team can compile fine. It is most likely some type of config problem on my end. I have re-checked out the project and still get the error. I am using the latest jdk 1.6.0_19 if that matters

However if there is an error in the form, for example a required field has not been entered the value of the AutoComplete field is now 12,45,43,66 and not the json string which it requires. What is the best way to solve this. I was thinking about overwriting the clean method in the form class but I'm not sure how to find out if any other element has returned an error. e.g. if forms.errors form.cleaned_date['autocomplete'] = json string return form.cleaned_data Thanks

  • PHP MYSQL FPDF retrieving pdf string stored as blob.

    Using the above technologies, I want to create a PDF, store it in my db, and email it. All with the click of one button. I also want to call it up and have it be able to display with a hyperlink. I am very new to FPDF. Therefore, I am trying to start off very slowly. I began with this link stackoverflow Q I put both parts of his code into the same page and tried with separate pages. I made the suggested changes/additions and even did a line by line comparison. I still get the message, "format error: not a PDF or corrupted" If I just $pdf-Output(); I get the pdf to display. It's either the way the string is being Output, or it's the header() function. It's not the storage method, unless my column setup is incorrect. BUt a blob is a blob, right? If you want, I can upload the sanitized code. Just let me know what would help answer this. Thanks JJ

    I want to grab a user's uploads (ie: BBC) and limit the output to 10 per page. Whilst I can use the following URL: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/bbc/uploads/?start-index=1&max-results=10 The above works okay. I want to use the query method instead: The Zend Framework docs: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.gdata.youtube.html State that I can retrieve videos uploaded by a user, but ideally I want to use the query method to limit the results for a pagination.     Hi all I have a console sequential workflow that at a certain step I use the InvokeWorkflow activity to invoke another workflow and then check a certain value that is set by the second workflow, and continue the execution of the first workflow normally the problem is when InvokeWorkflow activity is executed the program executes the second workflow and exits, the execution is not returned back to the first workflow. is there a way to call the second workflow from the first and wait till it ends and then continue the execution of the first. thanks

  • Reading a POP3 server with only TcpClient and StreamWriter/StreamReader[SOLVED]

    I'm trying to read mails from my live.com account, via the POP3 protocol. I've found the the server is pop3.live.com and the port if 995. I'm not planning on using a pre-made library, I'm using NetworkStream and StreamReader/StreamWriter for the job. I need to figure this out. So, any of the answers given here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/44383/reading-email-using-pop3-in-c are not usefull. It's part of a larger program, but I made a small test to see if it works. Eitherway, i'm not getting anything. Here's the code I'm using, which I think should be correct.     I'm parsing a string of XML into an XDocument that looks like this (using XDocument.Parse) <Root> <Item>Here is &quot;Some text&quot;</Item> </Root> Then I manipulate the XML a bit, and I want to send it back out as a string, just like it came in <Root> <Item>Here is &quot;Some text&quot;</Item> <NewItem>Another item</NewItem> </Root> However, what I am getting is <Root> <Item>Here is \"Some text\"</Item> <NewItem>Another item</NewItem> </Root> Notice how the double quotes are now escaped instead of encoded?   • fmod VS2008 unresolved externals in dependant project

    Im currently trying to use the latest stable fmod ex in my project. I have a main executable in a project called engine4, and a project named DX9Platform in the solution as well which ti depends on. All the fmod code is in this DX9Platform project, which generates a lib file. DX9Platform includes fmodex_vc.lib and builds fine. However buildign Engien4 results in unresolved external symbol messages referencing files that use fmod in the DX9Platform project I have tried adding fmodex_vc.lib to the Engine4 project, with no success, how do I fix this?   • iOS6 Simulator MKMapKit "Couldn't find default.styleproto in framework"

    Running my app with the iOS6 simulator I am getting the following printed in the XCode console prior to viewDidLoad getting called: Couldn't find default.styleproto in framework Has anyone else encountered this, and if so have you found a reason why? My guess is that it has to do with the iOS6 Apple Maps, but who knows! EDIT I should add that I don't get this warning in the iOS 5.1 simulator.

    Hi, I want to output some dynamic data from an ASP.NET website to Excel. I found that the easiest way which does not require to use Excel XML or to install Excel on server machine is to output data as a table and specify application/vnd.ms-excel type. The problem is when I do so and try to open the file in Excel Viewer, I receive the following error message: Microsoft Excel Viewer cannot open files of this type. Then nothing is opened.   • Save a PDF created with FPDF php library in a MySQL blob field

    I need to create a pdf file with the fpdf library and save it in a blob field in my MySQL database. The problem is, when I try to retrieve the file from the blob field and send it to the browser for the download, the donwloaded file is corrupted and does not display correctly. The same pdf file is correctly displayed if I send it immediately to the browser without storing it in the db, so it seems some of the data gets corrupted when is inserted in the db. My code is something like this: $pdf = new MyPDF(); //class that extends FPDF and create te pdf file $content = $pdf->Output("", "S"); //return the pdf file content as string $sql = "insert into mytable(myblobfield) values('".addslashes($content)."')"; mysql_query($sql); to store the pdf, and like this: $sql = "select myblobfield from mytable where id = '1'"; $result = mysql_query($sql); $rs = mysql_fetch_assoc($result); $content = stripslashes($rs['myblobfield']); header('Content-Type: application/pdf'); header("Content-Length: ".strlen(content)); header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=myfile.pdf'); print $content; to send it to the browser for downloading. What am I doing wrong? If I change my code to: $pdf = new MyPDF(); $pdf->Output(); //send the pdf to the browser the file is correctly displayed, so I assume that is correctly generated and the problem is in the storing in the db.   • Recursion in an ASP.NET MVC view

    I have a nested data object for a set of items within categories. Each category can contain sub categories and there is no set limit to the depth of sub categories. (A file system would have a similar structure.) It looks something like this: class category { public int id; public string name; public IQueryable<category> categories; public IQueryable<item> items; } class item { public int id; public string name; } I am passing a list of categories to my view as IQueryable<category>. I want to output the categories as a set of nested unordered list (<ul>) blocks. I could nest foreach loops, but then the depth of sub categories would be limited by the number of nested foreach blocks. In WinForms, I have done similar processing using recursion to populate a TreeView, but I haven't seen any examples of using recursion within an ASPX MVC view. Can recursion be done within an ASPX view? Are there other view engines that include recursion for view output?

  • Does JavaScript's for in loop iterate over methods?

    In an article on yuiblog Douglas Crockford says that the for in statement will iterate over the methods of an object. Why does the following code not produce ["a", "b", "c", "d", "toString"]? Aren't .toString() and other methods members of my_obj? Object.prototype.toString = function(){return 'abc'} Object.prototype.d = 4; my_obj = { 'a':1, 'b':2, 'c':3 } a = [] for (var key in my_obj) { a.push(key) } console.log(a) // prints ["a", "b", "c", "d"]

  • serializing type definitions?

    I'm not positive I'm going about this the right way. I've got a suite of applications that have varying types of output (custom defined types). For example, I might have a type called Widget: Class Widget Public name as String End Class Throughout the course of operation, when a user experiences a certain condition, the application will take that output instance of widget that user received, serialize it, and log it to the database noting the name of the type. Now, I have other applications that do something similar, but instead of dealing with Widget, it could be some totally random other type with different attributes, but again I serialize the instance, log it to the db, and note the name of the type. I have maybe a half dozen different types and don't anticipate too many additional ones in the future. After all this is said and done, I have an admin interface that looks through these logs, and has the ability for the user to view the contents of this data thats been logged. The Admin app has a reference to all the types involved, and with some basic switch case logic hinged upon the name of the type, will cast it into their original types, and pass it on to some handlers that have basic display logic to spit the data back out in a readable format (one display handler for each type) NOW... all this is well and good... Until one day, my model changed. The Widget class now has deprecated the name attribute and added on a bunch of other attributes. I will of course get type mismatches in the admin side when I try to reconstitute this data. I was wondering if there was some way, at runtime, i could perhaps reflect through my code and get a snapshot of the type definition at that precise moment, serialize it, and store it along with the data so that I could somehow use this to reconstitute it in the future?

  • Pre Commit Hook for JSLint in Mercurial and Git

    I want to run JSLint before a commit into either a Mercurial or Git repo is done. I want this as an automatic step that is set up instead of relying on the developer (mainly me) remembering to run JSLint before-hand. I normally run JSLint while developing, but want to specify a contract on JS files that they pass JSLint before being committed to the repo. For Mercurial, this page spells out the precommit syntax, but the only variables that seem to be available are the parent1 and parent2 changeset IDs involved in the commit. What I really want are a list of file names that are involved with the commit, so that I can then choose the .js file and run jslint over them. Similar issue for GIT, the default info available as part of the precommit script seems limited. What might work is calling hg status/git status as part of the precommit script, parse that output to find JS files then do the work that way. I was hoping for something easier though, and I am not sure if calling status as part of a precommit hook reflect the correct information. For instance in Git if the changes files have not been added yet, but the git commit uses -a, would the files show up in the correct section of the git status output as being part of the commit set?   • Avoiding first chance exception messages when the exception is safely handled

    The following bit of code catches the EOS Exception using (var reader = new BinaryReader(httpRequestBodyStream)) { try { while (true) { bodyByteList.Add(reader.ReadByte()); } } catch (EndOfStreamException) { } } So why do I still receive first-chance exceptions in my console? A first chance exception of type 'System.IO.EndOfStreamException' occurred in mscorlib.dll Is there a way to hide these first chance exception messages?
