  • Problem using HTML Link Helper in Cakephp 1.3.1

    Hello all I am having a problem using $html-link helper in my view. Consider this snippet... /views/nodes/packages.ctp <li><?php echo $html->link( "Package 1", array( "packages", "package1" ) )?></li> Now when I click on the link, the address in address bar appears like http://www.server.com/nodes/packages/packages/package1 Why is this happening? I haven't changed anything in my default routing configuration file. Regards Vikram

How do I intercept the total size of the message to be transferred and receive feedback (number of bytes transferred) during the transmission so a progress bar maybe displayed to the desktop app user?   • Drupal 7 front page URL after changing the front page

    I have used Configuration|Site Information|Default Front Page to designate node/55 as my front page. How can I create a menu linking to the original front page, i.e. the one with the list of articles? If I link to <front> it goes to node/55. P.S.: I have been able to simulate this by enabling the frontpage view, but, if possible, it would be more efficient to just link to the original front page URL.

    I am new to Xcode (using 4.3) and am not sure how to save an image to the device's camera roll. All that I have done so far is an IBAction for the button to save the image (the button resides in the top right of the navigation bar. This tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSdwjQUXA2Y) is EXACTLY what I would like to be able to do but the code is too blurry to read properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I prefer creating my nav menus from markup (rather than Javascript), like in this example. Is it possible to create menus and/or menu items from markup which are disabled? I see how to use Javascript to do this (use the disabled config property), but I'm looking for some way to encode this information in markup - perhaps there's a CSS class to use? Or am I out of luck here?

    Hi, I'm trying to use Ubuntu for Rails development and I'm liking gedit except the syntax highlighting does not seem to work with out me setting it for each file I open. Should it not recognize a .rb file a ruby file rather than me having to go into the menu and setting it as such? Have I missed a setting somewhere? Thanks

    Does anybody know a tool, preferably for the Explorer context menu, to recursively change the encoding of files in a project from / to UTF-8 and other encodings? Freeware or not too expensive would be great. Edit: Thanks for the answers, +1 for all of them as they are all fine but I am a lazy bastard sometimes, and would really like to be able to just right click a folder and say "convert all .php files to UTF-8". :) Further suggestions are appreciated.
