This prints the version of npm itself: npm -v <package-name> This prints a cryptic error: npm version <package-name> For some reason, probably because of the weird arguments ordering, or because of the false positives mentioned above, I just can't remember the proper command.   Hi, I can normally get the ID of the default tree nodes but my problem is onCreate then jsTree will add a new node but it doesn't have an ID. My question is how can I add an ID to the newly created tree node? What I'm thinking to do is adding the ID HTML attribute to the newly created tree node but how? I need to get the ID of all of the nodes because it will serve as a reference for the node's respective div storage.   I've been scratching my head for several hours for this... problem: Binary Tree (0) depth 0 / \ 10 20 depth 1 / \ / \ 30 40 50 60 depth 2 I am trying to write a function that takes depth as argument and return the sum of values of nodes of the given depth. For instance, if I pass 2, it should return 180 (i.e. 30+40+50+60) I decided to use breath first search and when I find the node with desired depth, sum up the value, but I just can't figure out how to find out the way which node is in what depth. • jQuery Block UI: node is undefined

  I'm close to finishing an app that uses quite a bit of JS. Recently Firebug started throwing an error that says "node is undefined", referring to data.parent = node.parentNode; on line 209 of jQuery blockUI plugin Version 2.31 (06-JAN-2010) @requires jQuery v1.2.3 or later. I'm using jQuery 1.4.2 When I remove the code from my page that triggers the Block UI action, the error is still there. So it does not seem to be an issue in my code but an "error" in the file itself, or perhaps some kind of conflict with another file? For info my code is below. My IDE is highlighting some syntax errors in here but it does that even when there are none.   I have a "global variable" XML schema in TIBCO BusinessWorks. It's simpler than it looks - basically just a single repeatable node. Image: Tibco globals. (old URL redacted) Various processes in the system can update this list. Checking to see if they are listed is easy: $GetVariable/subscriber-list/subscriber = $_processContext/ns:ProcessContext/ProcessId Adding themselves to the list is pretty easy too, using a Set Variable activity (see bottom half of image) But how can a process remove itself from the list? I'm sure there's a type of mapping I can use to filter out the node I want and let the rest through?

  Hi, I'm a little confused as to how i can delete a parent node of something which i can find via an xpath search: $xml = simplexml_load_file($filename); $data = $xml->xpath('//items/info[item_id="' . $item_id . '"]'); $parent = $data[0]->xpath("parent::*"); unset($parent); So, it finds the item id, no problems there - but the unset isnt getting rid of this <items> node. All i want to do is remove the <items>...</items> for this product. Obviously, there are loads of <items> nodes in the xml file so it cant do unset($xml->data->items) as that would delete everything. Any ideas much appreciated :-)

  Hi all, I've been implementing my own version of a red-black tree, mostly basing my algorithms from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-black_tree). Its fairly concise for the most part, but there's one part that I would like clarification on. When erasing a node from the tree that has 2 non-leaf (non-NULL) children, it says to move either side's children into the deletable node, and remove that child. I'm a little confused as to which side to remove from, based on that. Do I pick the side randomly, do I alternate betweek sides, or do I stick to the same side for every future deletion?

  I am looking for a way to allow users to add node reference to each product or whole cart @ checkout. I am making web site where users can buy items and then receive them on board flight. Products are fixed, but user needs to tell for which flight he is buying items. Flights are nodes and users has flagged these nodes so there is no problem making View with users flagged flight nodes. How would I associate one of these nodes with purchase? Nodereference from CCK would be cool, but checkout is probably not node. Any suggestions for approach?

• Automatic multi-page multi-column flowing text with QtWebkit (HTML/CSS/JS -> PDF)

  I have some HTML documents that are converted to PDF, using software that renders using QtWebkit (not sure which version). Currently, the documents have specific tags to split into columns and pages - so whenever the wording changes, it is a manual time-consuming process to move these tags so that the columns and pages fit. Can anyone provide a way to have text auto-wrapped into the next column/page (as appropriate) when it reaches the bottom of the current container? Any HTML, CSS or JS supported by QtWebkit is ok (assuming it works in the PDF converter). (I have tested the webkit-column-* in CSS3 and it appears QtWebkit does not support this.) To make things more exciting, it also needs to: - put a header at the top of each page, with page X of Y numbering; - if an odd number of pages, add a blank page at the end (with no header); - have the ability to say "don't break inside this block" or "don't break after this header" I have put some quick example initial markup and target markup to help explain what I'm trying to do. (The actual documents are far more complicated than that, but I need a simple proof-of-concept before I attack the real ones.) Any suggestions? Update: I've got a partially working solution using Aaron's "filling up" suggestion - I'll post more details in a bit.

• Get notified when objective-c dom updates are ready initiated from webview

  I am programmatically updating the DOM on a WebKit webview via DOMElement objects - for complex UI, there is usually a javascript component to any element that I add. This begs the need to be notified when the updates complete -- is there any such event? I know regular divs dont fire an onload or onready event, correct? The other assumption I had, which may be totally wrong, is that DOMElement updates aren't synchronous, so I can't do something like this and be confident it will meet with the label actually in the DOM: DOMElement *displayNameLabel = [document createElement:@"div"]; [displayNameLabel setAttribute:@"class" value:@"user-display-name"]; [displayNameLabel setTextContent:currentAvatar.avatarData.displayName]; [[document getElementById:@"user-card-content"] appendChild:displayNameLabel]; id win = [webView windowScriptObject]; [win evaluateWebScript:@"javascriptInstantiateLabel()"]; Is this true?   Intro: I have a Python application using a Cassandra 1.2.4 cluster with a replication factor of 3, all reads and writes are done with a consistency level of 2. To access the cluster I use the CQL library. The Cassandra cluster is running on rackspace's virtual servers. The problem: From time to time one of the nodes can become slower than usual, in this case I want to be able to detect this situation and prevent making requests to the slow node and if possible to stop using it at all (this should theoretically be possible since the RF is 3 and the CL is 2 for every single request). The questions: What's the best way of detecting the slow node from a Python application? Is there a way to stop using one of the Cassandra nodes from Python in this scenario without human intervention? Thanks in advance!

So, is it possible to enable text selection of the nested user input elements in Firefox using CSS? Thank you for suggestions.

  I have used jquery jstree or dynatree using check boxes and found the same logic The thing is that the if for example there is a parent and 4 child. a) i select all the 4 child (parent get auto selected) the 4 child and the parent node id get posted to the controller. b) But if i select less then 4 children (parent get auto selected) only child node ids get posted to the controller. Is there any way even if i select less then 4 children all my selected nodes included the parent get posted to the controller?

  Are there any .NET APis that can read/update the system.webServer node in web.config? I know I can do it via reading/parsing the web.config file as xml but that's awkward. To read/update the system.web node in .NET 2 I can use: HttpModulesSection httpModulesSection = (HttpModulesSection)configuration.GetSection("system.web/httpModules"); But is there any API based way of accessing system.web/modules using .NET 2? I have to reference the .NET 2 version of system.web.configuration because I don't know in advance if my web app will be run on a server with .NET 2 or 3.5. So it is limited to .NET 2 API calls only.
