    I have a sharepoint 2010 web application with 2 different zones, default zone with windows login (for search crawl), internet with Claims (FBA) for users to login. I have custom webparts that uses using (SPSite mySite = new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Site.ID)) using (SPWeb web = mySite.RootWeb) { string url = web.Url I use this url to include to emails etc... Problem is: when user connects to FBA (extended zone), and goes to the webpart,string url in my code returns the url of the default zone(windows auth) where user should not be touching. I have different host headers for these zones, any help would be very appreciated. Update: fixed it with using (SPSite newsite =new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Site.ID,SPContext.Current.Site.Zone)) using (SPWeb web = newsite.RootWeb) { //do your implementation here }

    Let me preface this by saying that I am still pretty new to SOAP and how things should work. I'm working with the Vertical Response API. I'm having trouble getting suds to construct the xml correctly for a request.     I started web development in LAMP/WAMP and it was logical to me . There is a Web Server program called Apache which does the networking part of setting up a service on port 80 ( common port ) . If the request is regular HTML it uses the HTTP headers to transport files .And if the request for the file is a PHP one , it has a mod_php with which Apache invokes the PHP interpreter to process the file and it gives back HTML which is again transferred as usual HTML . Now the question is what is a Web Framework ? I came across Python based website creation and there is Flask . What is a flask , how does it compare with LAMP . Further are DJango / Ruby on Rails different from flask ? Can someone answer me and also give some good places to read on these .Thanks for your answers in advance . Further is things like LAMP slower than the common FRAMEWORKS because they claimn easy deplyment fo web apps .

What is the best practice to synchronize database fields and html layout input fields length limitations ?   • What is the best way to interoperably serialize a message?

    I'm considering message serialization support for spring-integration. This would be useful for various wire level transports to implement guaranteed delivery, but also to allow interoperability with other messaging systems (e.g. through AMQP). The fundamental problem that arises is that a message containing Java object in it's payload and headers should be converted to a byte[] and/or written to a stream. Java's own serialization is clearly not going to cut it because that is not interoperable. My preference would be to create an interface that allows the user to implement the needed logic for all Objects that take part in serialization. Is this a sensible idea and what would the interface look like? Is there a standard interoperable way to serialize Objects that would make sense in this context?

    jQuery 1.7.2 jQuery Validate 1.1.0 jQuery Form 3.18 Wordpress 3.4.2 I am trying to code a contact/ mail form in above environment/ with above jQuery libs. Now I am having a problem with the jQuery Form JS: I have taken the original code from the developers page for ajaxSubmit and only altered the target option to an ID which exists in my HTML source and replaced $ with jQuery in function showRequest. The problem is, that the function namend after success: does not fire. I tried the same with error: and again nothing fired.     OK, So I am trying to transition from intermediate Delphi to C++ Object Oriented programing. I have read Ivar Horton's book on visual C++ 2010. I can pull off the simple console applications no problem. I get the language itself (kinda). Where I am struggling is with headers and classes. I also understand what header files and classes do in general. What I am not getting is the implementation when do I use a header or a class? Do I need to create classes for everything I do? Do my actual work functions need to be in header files or in CPP files? I'm lost on the proper uses of these and could use some real world guidance from more experienced programmers. I am trying to transition to windows applications using the MFC if that is helpful.

    I am generating a matrix report dynamically using report viewer version 9.0 in visual studio 2010. If i export save and print then it works normally. If there more columns report expands horizontally across mutiple pages. If i give Print option available in the toolbar of the report viewer. The columns are moved to second page which is correct but the row headers (product 1, product 2) should not be repeated in the second page.In the second page report should have all details except the product information. I am also interested to know whether it is the functionality of this version report viewer.

    I am writing my first Spring 3.0.5 MVC app and am confused about why my controller mappings aren't doing what I expect.     Hey SO, I've got a pretty noob question for ya. I keep seeing this syntax: <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Email) %> ...and I have no idea what the = means. I thought it was syntax for linq2sql or ado.net entity framework but I'm just using straight ado.net. I don't understand why the VWD used that syntax when generating the Create form. What does = mean?

  • LotusNotes as a datasource for a .net C# site

    Is it possible to have a connection to LotusNotes and use it as a data source for a C# project? We use LN for email/calendar :(... and management wants a web page that would interact with the calendar. I think this can all be done within Notes, but I would much rather do it in .net. They also want some very specific functionality, some of which I'm not really sure can even be done in Notes. Cheers, -Alex
