  • Ordered List (ol) showing up un-numbered?

    - by Abs
Hello all, I have an ordered list (ol) on my page but the numbering is not showing up at all! I have done this: <ol> <li>my text</li> <li>my text</li> <li>my text</li> </ol> As I have typed the above, stackoverflow was able to render it correctly the way I wanted it to, like so: my text my text my text However, this is not happening on my webpage. I am viewing this in Firefox on my localhost. If any knows why my ol's look like ul's (i.e. no numbering) I would be grateful for help. If not, please let me know how I can achieve a numbered list using ul's. Thanks all

  • European signs in img src problem

    - by Rakoon
Hey. I recently encountered a strange problem on my website. Images with æ ø and å in them (Western European signs) Won't display. The character encoding on all sites is "Iso-8859-1" I can print æ ø and å on the page without problems. If I right click the "broken image" and choose properties, it displays the filename with the european signs. (/admin/content/galleri/å.jpg) the code for img looks like this <img name='bilde' src='content/{$_SESSION["linkname"]}/{$row["img"]}' class='topmargin_ss leftmargin_ms rightmargin_s' width='80' height='80'> (Wasn't allowed to post images so the code is without starting and ending brackets) Made 4 files: z.jpg æ.jpg ø.jpg å.jpg Only z.jpg shows up, they are the exact same jpg. The images are uploaded using php code, which works, uploads to the right directory and has no problem with the european signs. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

  • PHP 6 not backward compatible

    - by netrox
From what I read, PHP 6 will break a lot of php scripts. I understand the reasons why it may break but why don't they just keep the PHP 5 and simply call PHP 6 as a different language based on PHP syntax? Like for example, why not just call php 6 scripts with an extension, "p6"- why are they trying so hard to make it backward compatible for old scripts when the extension can be used to call a specific interpreter?

  • Format table header

    - by Ryan Erb
I have a table with slanted text in the header row, the only problem is that the text still makes the width of the columns way to large. Is there any way to squish together the table columns so that they are about the width of the select boxes? Or is there a way to place the text there without it in the header and maybe just use a <div> or <p>? Here is the fiddle I am working with: http://jsfiddle.net/t9Krg/1/ .slanted { -webkit-transform: rotate(-45deg); -moz-transform: rotate(-45deg); -ms-transform: rotate(-45deg); -o-transform: rotate(-45deg); transform: rotate(-45deg); white-space:nowrap; /* display:noblock; */ } The boarders around the header is just to see the extra spacing and will be removed later.

  • How not to lose focus on a login page

    - by Misha Moroshko
I have a simple login form with 2 input fields: "username" and "password". "username" field is focused by default. The problem is that when user clicks outside "username" or "password" fields, the focus is gone (it is neither on "username" nor on "password" fields"). How can I force the focus to be on these 2 fields only ? In my case, this is a really annoying behavior, so I really want to do this :) Can I do something like: $("*").focus(function() { if (!$(this).hasClass("my_inputs_class")) { // How to stop the focusing process here ? } }); ?

  • Rotating png images using css in IE

    - by Ernest Shulikovski
Here is a mockup for something called "Diversity Disc": http://diversity.iest.pl/ It is just three disks that you can rotate and read "results". I am using there just four png images, and rotate using jQuery f.i: $.fn.rleft = function() { return this.animate({ rotate: '-=45deg' }); }; It works not so bad in most new browser. But in all versions of IE things go terribly wrong. There is problem with rotation, and with png: after rotation, there is happening something very ugly with alpha transparency of those images. So my question is, is this possible to make it work in IE 8 and 7 (and, more or less IE 6?). If no I will be forced to order it in Flash. But I would like first to try to do it using just css and javascript (svg?). So what I am doing wrong? Do you have any tips, for using different technology, or js library? Thank you in advance for any answers.

  • how can i find unused css in ajax app?

    - by Haroldo
I've been searching and i can't find any ff addons or javascript for finding unused css in ajax apps. dust-me selectors can do a site-crawl, but i'm looking for something that examines loaded-in content... I'd like something where i can press 'record' and then make a load of clicks which will check off the used selectors, and hoping to find an existing one rather than try to write my own with jquery!

  • Help passing _POST Form Data PHP

    - by Mikey1980
    I apologize in advance, I am a PHP noob! I have form with some hidden fields. I need the values to POST to "submit_rma.php" so that they're not missing from the db--I need $qty, $estmate_id and $rma_type. The rest of the fields are just displaying data for the user and are readonly. Currently I only get value from the qty text field. Is there any easier way to pass these values? URL is out of the question due to security issues. <form method="post" action="submit_rma.php";> <table> <tr> <td> Quantity </td> <td> <input type="text" name="qty" value="<?php echo $qty ?>" size="1"/><br/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Part # </td> <td> <input type="text" name="" value="<?php echo $model ?>" size="8" READONLY/><br/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Description </td> <td> <input type="text" name="" value="<?php echo $name_EN ?>" size="50" READONLY/><br/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Paid Date </td> <td> <input type="text" name="" value="<?php echo $sold_date ?>" size="6" READONLY/><br/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Amount Each </td> <td> <input type="text" name="" value="<?php echo $dealer_price ?>" size="8" READONLY/> </td> </tr> </table> <input type="hidden" name="estmate_id" value="<?php echo $estmate_id ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="rma_type" value="Short Shipped"> <input type="submit" name="submit";"> </form>

    - by rasika vijay
    While clicking inside the form , the form automatically tried to resubmit , I cannot figure out which part of the code causes it to behave like this . In the createTable function , a table is created after the domain is given . But I am unable to select any of the controls in the output . I have attached the jsfiddle code link here : http://jsfiddle.net/rasikaceg/S7kWM/ function createTable() { document.getElementById("table_container").innerHTML = ""; var input_domain = document.forms["form1"]["DomainName"].value; if (input_domain == null || input_domain == "") return; var table = document.createElement("table"), tablehead = document.createElement("thead"), theadrow = document.createElement("tr"), th1 = document.createElement("th"), th2 = document.createElement("th"), th3 = document.createElement("th"), th4 = document.createElement("th"); th1.appendChild(document.createTextNode("Website")); th2.appendChild(document.createTextNode("Enable/Disable Live Update for LM and CBD")); th3.appendChild(document.createTextNode("From Date")); th4.appendChild(document.createTextNode("To Date")); theadrow.appendChild(th1); theadrow.appendChild(th2); theadrow.appendChild(th3); theadrow.appendChild(th4); tablehead.appendChild(theadrow); table.appendChild(tablehead); var names = ["website1", "website2"]; var container = document.getElementById("table_container"); var tablebody = document.createElement("tbody"); for (var i = 0, len = names.length; i < len; ++i) { var row = document.createElement("tr"), column1 = document.createElement("td"), column2 = document.createElement("td"), column3 = document.createElement("td"), column4 = document.createElement("td"), checkbox = document.createElement('input'); checkbox.type = "checkbox"; checkbox.name = names[i]; checkbox.value = names[i]; checkbox.id = names[i]; var label = document.createElement('label') label.htmlFor = names[i]; label.appendChild(document.createTextNode(names[i])); column1.appendChild(checkbox); column1.appendChild(label); var dropdown = document.createElement("select"); dropdown.name = names[i] + "_select"; var op1 = new Option(); op1.value = "enable"; op1.text = "enable"; var op2 = new Option(); op2.value = "disable"; op2.text = "disable"; dropdown.options.add(op1); dropdown.options.add(op2); column2.appendChild(dropdown); var datetime_from = document.createElement('input'); datetime_from.type = "datetime-local"; datetime_from.name = names[i] + "_from"; column3.appendChild(datetime_from); var datetime_to = document.createElement('input'); datetime_to.type = "datetime-local"; datetime_to.name = names[i] + "_to"; column4.appendChild(datetime_to); row.appendChild(column1); row.appendChild(column2); row.appendChild(column3); row.appendChild(column4); tablebody.appendChild(row); } table.appendChild(tablebody); document.getElementById("table_container").appendChild(table); }
