• Issues in google rankings

- by user35767
I have a new site just over 6 months old and after a month or so, it started ranking for some searches in Google. Then suddenly after 2 months, boom, no traffic coming from search other than when people search for the name of the site. My question is whether this is something common? I was doing some link-building, forums, blogs, social bookmarks, directory submission. This affects whole website or any new updates in seo

I have just joined the "I'm sure I've missed something obvious club" I have VBExpress 2008 installed with SQL Express 2008 with the SQL Express management studio. • If we develop iOS app, and submit a new version to the App Store, it won't have a risk of having the old version pulled out?

- by ????
As an iOS developer, is it true that once we get an app into the App Store, we can quite safely update any new version and the worst it can happen is that the new version is rejected, but the old version in general will always stay, unless there was something egregious that Apple didn't catch the first time? (and what if a method in a class is deprecated and later even removed? Won't iOS 8, say, in the future not be able to run the old app?)

• How do I stop unity launcher icon from shaking wobbling, jumping, bouncing, running, and cavorting?

- by ssu
When I'm focused and working on something, sometimes an app (like update manager) will decide that it is more important than I am, and start jumping and bouncing and wobbling and waving and generally cavorting around like a spoiled, misbehaving 3-year-old. In general, being very annoying. How do I stop this behavior? I'll get to an app when I get to it - it shouldn't be so needy. I need to work, not spend all day at the service of whatever application pops up.

• libgdx - #iterator() cannot be used nested

- by TimSim
I'm getting this error when I try to check if any of the targets overlap each other: iterTargets = targets.iterator(); while (iterTargets.hasNext()) { Target target = iterTargets.next(); for (Target otherTarget:targets) { if (target.rectangle.overlaps(otherTarget.rectangle)) { // do something } } } So I can't do that? How am I supposed to check each member of an array to see if it overlaps any other member?

• How to completely install wine

- by user164131
I installed wine by doing sudo apt-get install wine and everything went well, but at the end I get the "Package configuration" and the title says configuring ttf-mscorefonts-installer and they talk about 1.GRANT OF LICENSE 2.DESCRIPITION OF OTHER GRANTS AND LIMITATIONS 3.COPYRIGHT U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS The problem is that they give all this at the end but there is nothing I can do say "ok" or something, thus, wine is not installed. Any help please?

• Examples of different architecture methodologies

- by Lane
Is there a resource or site which illustrates building the same application (desktop or web) using several different contrasting architectures? Such as MVP versus MVVM versus MVC, etc. It would be very helpful to see how they look side-by-side using real-world code instead of comparing written theory to written theory. I've often found that something can be described well in a book, but when you go to implement it, the subtleties and weaknesses of the theory become readily apparent.

• Concept: Interpretive Spells [closed]

- by Deathly
The goal is to be able to create complex spells, that can manipulate the game's environment in non-preprogrammed ways, and to make the program understand spells. For example: $@ $=Big @=Fire You can probably understand what this one means. The player types, writes, or selects symbols. Of course, a spell can be only a few characters, or more sophisticated spells could potentially be hundreds or thousands of symbols long. How could something like this be accomplished?

• web service host [closed]

- by elyashiv
I'm looking for a place to host a cloud service that well manage data from a App I'm developing. The service I need doesn't have any UI (accessed completely through the App software), and well work on only small requests - but hopefully quite a lot of them. I'm looking for something free that well give me the best - in storage and request handling. No specific language, but preferably one of the following: Python, C#, Java. (in this order).

• How can I force apt to optimize the dependency tree for minimal download size?

- by ObsessiveSSO?
Some background information: As you may know, in a Debian package, there may be alternative dependencies, written in the CONTROL file as Depends: apache2|something-else, for example. How does apt select which dependencies to choose, and how can I override this so I can minimize download size? I'm on a slow connection on some locations and need it to use the smallest total download size. How can I force it to do so?

• Subdomain redirects to subdirectory [duplicate]

- by redraw
This question already has an answer here: How do I get the root index page to redirect to a subdirectory without affecting SEO? 1 answer Supposing I have folder called "support" inside root folder "/public_html". I've added a subdomain in my server's panel so that when going to "support.mydomain.com" it redirects to "mydomain.com/support" The problem is that redirection is reflected on the browser's address bar, and I want to make that subdomain work like "base domain". i.e "support.mydomain.com/folder-inside-support" Is it something to be with .htaccess file?
