• Only show certain items in a mysql database using php and time()

    - by Jon
    Is there a way to only show the items that are older than a certain date in a php mysql array? I'm using this query method and sorting by lastpost_cl: $query="SELECT * FROM properties ORDER BY lastpost_cl"; $result=mysql_query($query); $num = mysql_num_rows ($result); mysql_close(); and I was thinking the way of checking the time would be: if (time() <= strtotime($lastpost_cl)) { } How can I combine the two and only show lastpost_cl that are older that the current time?

  • Best logging framework for native C++?

    - by Jox
    I'm looking for logging framework for C++ project. My best shoot was log4cxx, but it seems that it's abandoned project, with development stopped ~4 years ago, with only one update in last 4-5 years. Anything better that log4cxx? (log4c & log4cpp are also totally out-of-date)...

  • is php language C?

    - by avon_verma
    Ok: I edited my question: I heared somewhere, that php language is written by C. So i have question: what happens for example when you run a function in php such as date("Ymd"); or file_get_contents("file.txt");? Does it translate that code to C and request to server, or does php do it? sorry i haven't a clue And if it does translate it and request, that means besically it is C? sorry for english Thank you, Anon Verma

  • Bash Script (Cygwin) to grep a logfile for multiple phrases and output a new file for each phrase.

    - by Chris
    Each logfile is titled based on the date it was created in the format YYYY-MM-DD.txt. I need to search each file for five different keywords and output five files prepended with the specific keyword and then the original logfile name. Example: Test-YYYY-MM-DD.txt grep -i -w 'keyword1' YYYY-MM-DD.txt Keyword1-YYYY-MM-DD.txt If it's also possible to email each new file to a different person, that would be helpful as well.

  • JAVA: XML parsers gives null element

    - by Johan
    When I try to parse a XML-file, it gives sometimes a null element by the title. I think it has to do with HTML-tags ' How can I solve this problem? I have the follow XML-file:

' Nieuwe DVD '

tekst, tekst tekst

And the follow code to parse the xml-file: //DocumentBuilderFactory, DocumentBuilder are used for //xml parsing DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory .newInstance(); DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder(); //using db (Document Builder) parse xml data and assign //it to Element Document document = db.parse(is); Element element = document.getDocumentElement(); //take rss nodes to NodeList element.normalize(); NodeList nodeList = element.getElementsByTagName("item"); if (nodeList.getLength() > 0) { for (int i = 0; i < nodeList.getLength(); i++) { //take each entry (corresponds to

tags in //xml data Element entry = (Element) nodeList.item(i); entry.normalize(); Element _titleE = (Element) entry.getElementsByTagName( "title").item(0); Element _categoryE = (Element) entry .getElementsByTagName("category").item(0); Element _pubDateE = (Element) entry .getElementsByTagName("pubDate").item(0); Element _linkE = (Element) entry.getElementsByTagName( "link").item(0); String _title = _titleE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); String _category = _categoryE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); Date _pubDate = new Date(_pubDateE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue()); String _link = _linkE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); //create RssItemObject and add it to the ArrayList RssItem rssItem = new RssItem(_title, _category, _pubDate, _link); rssItems.add(rssItem); conn.disconnect(); }

  • QLocale, what is the scope of the global QLocale::setDefault()?

    - by ALoopingIcon
    Problem: I have a QT based multiplatform (win,mac,*nix) application that parses ascii files containing decimal numbers. parsing is done using a variety of different code pieces that use anything from qt string stuff, c++ stdin, oldstyle scanf, etc. ascii files have always the '.' (dot) as separated decimal (e.g. in the file to be parsed 1/10 is written 0.1 as standard in many countries). people using the application within a OS localized for using comma separated decimal encounter a lot of problems (e.g. for french users scanf expect to find 0,1 as a valid textual representation of 1/10 and if they find 0.1 scanf will parse it as 0) How can I be sure that the OS Locale indication of how decimal point has to be written is always ignored? Is it safe assuming that adding QLocale::setDefault(QLocale(QLocale::English,QLocale::UnitedStates)); is enough to get rid of all these problems? Any suggestion for portable ways of setting the locale globally?

  • Regex for zeroing in on build output text error

    - by Mike Atlas
    I'd like to quickly hone in on what failed in a build log output that is nearly 5k lines long, using Notepad++ as my editor for the file. Notepad++ has the nice ability to specify regular expressions, so I am wondering if there is a way to not match: Compile complete -- 0 errors, 0 warnings but to match, for example: Compile complete -- 1 errors, 0 warnings Compile complete -- 100 errors, 0 warnings where the match would be (1 or more) errors. If this isn't possible, I will probably just write a quick line-by-line parsing tool instead, but I was hoping someone on StackOverflow could whip out a regular expression in the same amount of time - I'm definitely not proficient enough with regular expressions to be able to write one for my needs in a short amount of time.

  • Compare DateTime ticks on two machines

    - by vani
    Is it a viable option to compare two FileInfo.CreationTimeUtc.Ticks of two files on two different computers to see which version is newer - or is there a better way? Do Ticks depend on OS time or are they really physical ticks from some fixed date in the past?

  • NSXMLParser values not being retained.

    - by user574947
    This is similar to my previous question. I didn't get an answer, maybe by changing the question I might get an answer. Here is my parsing code: -(void) parser:(NSXMLParser *) parser didStartElement:(NSString *) elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *) namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *) qName attributes:(NSDictionary *) attributeDict { if ([elementName isEqualToString:kimgurl] || [elementName isEqualToString:kone_x] || [elementName isEqualToString:kone_y] || [elementName isEqualToString:kone_radius] || [elementName isEqualToString:ktwo_x] || [elementName isEqualToString:ktwo_y] || [elementName isEqualToString:ktwo_radius]) { elementFound = YES; theItems = [[Items alloc] init]; } } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didEndElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName { if([elementName isEqualToString:kimgurl]) { theItems.imageURL = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } else if([elementName isEqualToString:kone_x]) { theItems.iOne_X = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } else if([elementName isEqualToString:kone_y]) { theItems.iOne_Y = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } else if([elementName isEqualToString:kone_radius]) { theItems.iOne_Radius = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } else if([elementName isEqualToString:ktwo_x]) { theItems.iTwo_X = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } else if([elementName isEqualToString:ktwo_y]) { theItems.iTwo_Y = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } else if([elementName isEqualToString:ktwo_radius]) { theItems.iTwo_Radius = self.currentValue; [self.currentValue setString:@""]; } } -(void) parserDidEndDocument:(NSXMLParser *)parser { NSLog(@"enddocument: %@", theItems.imageURL); } -(void)parser:(NSXMLParser *) parser foundCharacters:(NSString *)string { if (elementFound == YES) { if(!currentValue) { currentValue = [NSMutableString string]; } [currentValue appendString: string]; } } When I get to parserDidEndDocument.   • Design guidelines for cache mechanism

    - by Delashmate
    Hi All, I got assignment to write design for cache mechanism (this is work assignment, not homework), This is my first time writing a design document, Our program display images for doctors, and we want to reduce the parsing time of the images So we want to save the parsed data in advance (in files or inside database) Currently I have several design key ideas: Handle locks - each shared data structure should be handled, also files Test - add test to verify the data from the cache is equal to the data from the files To decouple the connection to the database- not to call directly to the database Cleanup mechanisem- to delete old files if the cahce directory exceed configurable threshold Support config file Support performance tool in the feature I will also add class diagram, data flow charts, and workflow What do you think I should add to the key ideas? Do you know good link to atricales about design? Thanks in advance, Dan
