  I heard recently that Nginx has added caching to its reverse proxy feature. I looked around but couldn't find much info about it. I want to set up Nginx as a caching reverse proxy in front of Apache/Django: to have Nginx proxy requests for some (but not all) dynamic pages to Apache, then cache the generated pages and serve subsequent requests for those pages from cache. Ideally I'd want to invalidate cache in 2 ways: Set an expiration date on the cached item To explicitly invalidate the cached item. E.g. if my Django backend has updated certain data, I'd want to tell Nginx to invalidate the cache of the affected pages Is it possible to set Nginx to do that? How?

  Modern browsers such as Firefox and Chrome are able to shutdown and restore the same group of tabs they had before the next time you open them, and even sometimes remember additional tab state such as scroll position within the tab. I would like ideally to be able to select a group of tabs (about some coherent theme, perhaps) and save them away into some kind of "folder" that I could later open independently, without opening any other tabs. Obviously I can use bookmarks for this, but bookmarks are kind of old-fashioned. It would be excellent if it could also record forms that I had filled in but not submitted, scroll position, tab position within the tab group, and any other "dynamic" aspects of the current tab state.

  The TouchUtils class in the android documentation has functions like drag() [http://developer.android.com/intl/de/reference/android/test/TouchUtils.html#drag(android.test.InstrumentationTestCase,%20float,%20float,%20float,%20float,%20int)], but they do not support multi touch gestures, like a two finger swipe. Looking at the MotionEvent.obtain() methods, there does not seem to be any way of invoking a "virtual" multi touch event from a testcase. Anyone has got it working?

I have spent a rediculous amount of time experimenting with various methods of hashing the plain text password for storage.   Hi, I have need to communicate between two iframes of the same domain, which live inside a parent page on a different domain that I have no control over. This is a Facebook app and the basic layout is this apps.facebook.com/myapp L iframe1 (src='mysite.com/foo') L iframe2 (src='mysite.com/bar') I need frame1 to talk to frame2, but in Opera I can't access window.parent.frames['frame2'] to do the usual cross-domain methods (updating location.hash for example) Is there an alternate way to accomplish this in Opera? • what is advantage of using headlink() to insert javascript and css in zend framework?

  Documentation says to use headlink()-prependstylesheet() to insert css in the layout file. Also says to use to load the javascript files this way also. Why is this any better than just hard coding the link and script tag right in the header? I would think this is slower performance since its using the framework methods to do it.   I use SVN for my work at home and office, but I usually forget to commit the changes before shutdown. Therefore, I wish I could turn on my home/office PC at office/home. I already have TeamViewer installed on both PCs, so it will be okay as soon as the power is turned on. I have read many articles about this, I found both my PC and office computers support Wake-on-LAN. However, I don't know much about other config. And I need to turn on my computers through the Internet, not on LAN. My office Internet connection has static IP, however, my home Internet connection has dynamic IP, it changes as soon as I reset the modem, but it is not a big problem, I rarely turn the Internet modem off. And I don't have privilege to config office Internet connection, but I have Administration privilege on both PCs. Please give me details steps to turn on my office PC from home, and turn on my home PC from office.

  Currently I am using Microsoft Sync Framework to synchronize databases. I need to gather information per record which is inserted/updated/deleted by Microsoft Sync Framework and do something with this information. The sync speed can go over 50.000 records per minute. So that means my additional code need to be very lightweight otherwise it will be a huge performance penalty. Microsoft Sync Framework raises an SyncProgress event for each record.   Per MSDN, calling Type.GetMethods() stores reflected method information in a MemberInfo cache so the expensive operation doesn't have to be performed again. I have an application that scans assemblies/types, looking for methods that match a given specification. The problem is that memory consumption increases significantly (especially with large numbers of referenced assemblies) since .NET hangs onto the method metadata. Is there any way to clear or disable this MemberInfo cache?

  Often time methods take more than 3 parameters which are all of the same type, eg. void mymethod (String param1, String param2, String param3) then it's very easy for the client to mix up the parameters orders, for instance inverting param1 and param2: mymethod (param2, param1, param3); ...which can be the cause of much time spent debugging what should be a trivial matter.
