About Web service ,how to use Ajax to call a specific member function of a class?

I'm trying to build a web service by PHP. In my case, I called the getINFO(), but the return value on client side always null. Have no idea to solve this problem.. Objective-C Result from a Static Method saved to class instance variable giving "EXC_BAD_ACCESS" when used.

I am trying to store the md5 string as a class instance variable instead of the actual password. I have a static function that will return a md5 string which I'm trying to store in an instance variable instead of the actual password. I have the following setter for my class instance variable: -(void)setPassword:(NSString *)newpass{ if(newpass != password){ password = [utils md5HexDigest:newpass]; } } This will pass back the correct md5 string and save it to the password variable in my init function: [self setPassword:pword];. If I call another instance method and try to access self.password" I will get "EXC_BAD_ACCESS". I understand that the memory is getting released, but I have no clue to make sure it stays. I have tried alloc init with autorelease with no luck. Hello, I am really trying to follow the DRY principle. I have a sub that looks like this? For the record, ItemSummaries and NumberedInventories are both derived from the same base class DataBuilderBase. I can't figure out the syntax that will allow me to do ItemSumms.FillRows and numInvs.FillRows in the method. FillRows is declared as Public Overridable Sub FillRows in the base class. Is there a Twitter Bootstrap class that means "initially hidden"?

Using Bootstrap 3, I have an element on a page I want to show later in response to the user clicking a button. Example: <div id="search_results"> ... gets populated from ajax data later ... </div> <button id="search_button" type="button" class="btn btn-primary pull-right">Search</button> <script> $('#search_button').click(function() { // ... do the call to search // and in the callback: $('#search_results').show(); }); </script> The search_results div should be initially hidden. Is there some normal/best practice way of doing this with bootstrap? Yes, I do realize I can just put style="display:none" on search_results, but is that the best way to do it? It would seem to be a bit better to have a style that semantically means "initially hidden". (NOTE: The hidden or hide classes don't do this as they are !important and show(), toggle(), etc. use an inline style which does not override them, i.e. setting "hidden" as the class makes it unshowable from jQuery.)

How do I set the dimensions of a custom component defined in an ActionScript class?

I'm trying to set the height of a vertical bar (activityBar) but it does not appear to do anything. i have tried something similar with the whole component, but setting the dimensions does nothing (even in the mxml used to instantiate the class). Indeed, I've added transparent graphics just to give the component some dimensions I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. It's something bad though; my approach seems dire. FYI: I'm trying to create a mic activity bar that will respond to the mic by simply setting the height of the activityBar child (which seems to me to be more efficient than redrawing the graphics each time). I am trying to create a self join table that represents a list of customers who can refer each other (perhaps to a product or a program). I am trying to limit my model to just one class, "Customer". However, I keep getting an empty array when accessing referrals: @customer.referrals ... returns []. I ran binding.pry to see what SQL was being run, given a customer who has a "referer" and should have several referrals. This is the SQL being executed. Rails 3 Nested Forms

I have a Person model and an Address Model: class Person < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :address accepts_nested_attributes_for :address end class Address < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :person end In my people controller I have @person.build_address in my new action. My forms builds correctly. The problem is that when I submit the form, a person record and an address record is created but they aren't linked via the address_id column in the Person table. when I run the parser on the following example it works fine: define foo(a) { if (!h(IM) && a) then { return 0; } if (a() && !h()) then { return 0; } } But when I add threes characters in the first if statement, it runs out of memory. This is absolutely blowing my mind. Can anyone help? One email user keeps disconnecting from our exchange server

I have one user who keeps reporting that Outlook keeps disconnecting from our email server. All other users are fine. Our email server is running Exchange 2010 and the client is running Outlook 2003. The disconnection only lasts a moment. I have checked for logs on the client and Exchange server and can not see any reason for the disconnect, On the Client I get EventId 26 telling me Outlook has disconnected and reconnected but no reason why. Can anyone give me some suggestions of things to try and track down where the problem could be? --Update-- I have found the following log file C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Logging\RPC Client Access which suggests that it is a problem with RPC sessions. I am following this tutorial, I'm using netbeans 6.5.1 http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/java/gui-db-custom.html When I get to the part where I create the "new entity class from database", which is in the "Customizing the Master/Detail View" section of the tutoiral. I can't ever compile because I get this error in the task list (and I get a runtime error when I run)... Atleast I think these two are related. Help me sort programing languages a bit

Hi, so I asked here few days ago about C# and its principles. Now, if I may, I have some additional general questions about some languages, becouse for novice like me, it seems a bit confusing. To be exact I want to ask more about language functions capabilities than syntax and so. To be honest, its just these special functions that bothers me and make me so confused. For exmaple, C has its printf(), Pascal has writeln() and so. I know in basic the output in assembler of these funtions would be similiar, every language has more or less its special functions. For console output, for file manipulation, etc. But all these functions are de-facto part of its OS API, so why is for example in C distinguished between C standard library functions and (on Windows) WinAPI functions when even printf() has to use some Windows feature, call some of its function to actually show desired text on console window, becouse the actuall "showing" is done by OS. Where is the line between language functions and system API? Now languages I dont quite understand - Python, Ruby and similiar. To be more specific, I know they are similiar to java and C# in term they are compiled into bytecode. But, I do not unerstand what are its capabilities in term of building GUI applications. I saw tutorial for using Ruby to program GUI applications on Linux and Windows. But isn´t that just some kind of upgrade? I mean fram other tutorials It seemed like these languages was first intended for small scripts than building big applications. I hope you understand why I am confused. If you do, please help me sort it out a bit, I have no one to ask.

Extend linq-to-sql partial class to avoid writing a property?

I have a linq-to-sql class. I have a property "Password" for which I want to call the underlying ASP.NET Membership provider. Thus, I do not want this property written out directly but via my own code. I basically want to create a facade/proxy for this property such that I may use the underlying membership provider or a custom stored procedure. I want to accomplish without modifying the LINQ-TO-SQL designer generated code, if at all possible.

Implementing IEquatable in class marked with DataContract. Does it work?

What I am trying to accomplish is to be able to use List<>.Contains() using the custom data structure(s) returned by the WCF service. I implemented the IEquatable<>.Equals but it's not really working on the client side. Contains() always returns false. I am wondering if the Contains() method is actually part of the class when it's put together on the client side.

Does writing data to server using Java URL class require response from server?

I am trying to upload files using Java URL class and I have found a previous question on stack-overflow which explains very well about the details, so I try to follow it. And below is my code adopted from the sniplet given in the answer. My problem is that if I don't make a call to one of connection.getResponseCode() or connection.getInputStream() or connection.getResponseMessage() or anything which is related to reponse from the server, the request will never be sent to server. Why do I need to do this? Or is there any way to write the data without getting the response? P.S. I have developed a server-side uploading servlet which accepts multipart/form-data and save it to files using FileUpload.
