  • Windows 8 upgrade advisor in windows xp not starting

    I really hope someone can help me as I am stuck and can't figure out what to do next. I am trying to upgrade from windows xp sp3 (Media Centre edition) Steps I've followed: Clean install from XP SP3 Professional disc Installed all drivers downloaded upgrade advisor and ran where it just closed after like 2 seconds without even showing the screen changed to have a selected startup after finding guidance on the internet, this still did not make a difference Does anybody have an idea? I've looked for logs but can't find anything.

    hi guys today my first day on asterisk on ubuntu. I installed vmware and then ubuntu and then on ubuntu i am running asterisk. i started the asterisk server successfully by following a tutorial. After making few changes into the sip.conf i want to reload the sip.conf i issue the command sip reload and nothing happens neither the commands to restart the asterisk server work actually the commands do not exists can some please throw light or point to right direction. thanks

  • Why is my path not working in zshell?

    This is obviously really simple, but not if you don't know the answer :) I'm doing this in my .zsh PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" and if I do echo $PATH it appears as the first thing in the path. Yet this directory isn't included in the executable path (nor for tab-completion). What am I doing wrong? ls ~/scripts shows the directory as expected.

    I like to use the following commands to manage 'TIME_WAIT', in the hope to free up resources. echo 20 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_fin_timeout sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_tw_reuse=1 sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_tw_recycle=1 I found something interesting while doing a tcpdump. Sometimes if a client makes a connection (syn), the server will not reply (syn -ack). My question is, could it be because of the top three commands.

Appreciate any advice on how to proceed, thanks.

    I have two NICs in a client PC. I have a WDS server. When I boot from PXE on client computer I receive: WdsClient: An error occurred while obtaining an IP address from the DHCP server. Please check to ensure that there is an operational DHCP server on this network segment. I think my client is trying to get an IP adress from the NIC which not connected to LAN. How to avoid this error?

    Hello, I'm running a small hosting VPS with CentOS and I have installed the WHM/cPanel control panel. The problem is that the email, either sent from the cPanel webmail or other client like Outlook does not get sent out with no visible error message on the client side.     I have this command defined: define command{ command_name check_http_sane command_line $USER1$/check_http -H $HOSTNAME$ -r "HTTP/1.1 (200|301|302|303|304|307|401|418|426)" } When I run it manually on command line, it works fine, but nagios (2.6) reports a "pattern not found" error. Do I need to escape something? Edit: As stated below, I solved it by replacing check_http with my own script which works (good enough for our use case, anyway). Script: http://pastebin.com/hNmz6Wa1

    I have an old Novell server which runs DocsOpen. I know very little about this system, basically we had a disk fault which halted the system. The server was rebooted and came up, I had to manually mount the DATA volume and then reboot again. All seems to be working but nobody can get in to DocsOpen, getting the error ORA-01034: Oracle not available.

  • Windows 7 Start Menu All Programs - display all folders, not just a single scrollable column

    In Windows 95/XP/Vista I could click on the start menu, "All Programs", and I would get a list of all my programs. In Windows 7 when I click start menu, "All Programs", I get a single column with a scroll bar - but that's not what I want, I want to see All Programs. How do I do this? I've looked in the start menu options but cannot find an option that appears to show me all my programs.

But the same server settings is working for Google chrome and Internet Download Manager. How to do it ?
