  • SVG, animate a line from x1,y1 to x2,y2?

    - by dskvr
    The animate property is very loosely documented. And unfortunately for me, the way the W3 documents SVG is VERY difficult understand and cross reference. Does anybody know if it is possible to animate a line from point A (x1,y1) to point B (x2,y2), and if so, how would this be done? (example code would put a really bright smile on my face)

  • Parameters through postback

    - by Brian Roisentul
    I'm working with Ruby on rails 2.3.4 and I'd like to pass some parameters from one page to another ones the first one is submitted. For example: On the first page, I have a form that when it's filled a Preview button can be clicked to check all the info entered before submitting the form. That button redirects to another page with the info entered before, but I don't know how to get it in the second page.

  • WPF documentation exists on MSDN?

    - by jedd
    Am I missing something or is there no documentation of WPF controls? When I look at MSDN, it says to reference System.Windows.Controls (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms752069.aspx), but this is for winforms? Where can I find the WPF object model?

  • Passing data from page to page using System.Web.Caching.Cache

    - by Dan
    I'd like to pass data from one asp.net page to another. I've seen that using System.Web.Caching.Cache is a good way to accomplish this. I'm wondering if it's a good way to do it and also is there any cleanup or other things I need to keep in mind when you the Cache? I'm not passing very much, at most two integers. Thanks.

  • Is it possible to authenticate on another website?

    - by Blankman
    If I am on a website#1, and I enter my username/pwd for website#2 on a login page that is on website#1, and website#1, behind the scenes, makes a httpwebrequest to website#2 and posts to the login page. If I then navigate to website#2, should I be logged in? website#2 uses formsauthentication and I call a httpHandler that is on website#2 and pass it the username/password via the querystring. Should this work?

  • Automatically rebuild external cmake project after edit_cache

    - by arunkd13
    I have a main cmake project which has a PROJECT_INCLUDE_PATH which is a cached variable. I pass this variable as a CMAKE_ARGS parameter to an external project that I add using ExternalProject_Add(). The problem is, when I change the value of the PROJECT_INCLUDE_PATH using 'make edit_cache' the external project is not reconfigured. Is there any way make the external project to be reconfigured and built automatically when the cached variable is changed in the main project?

  • Consistant hashing with memcache

    - by Industrial
    Hi everyone, I am setting up a new web app that will on the client side feature a multi-memcached server environment for reliability and performance. Would it be wise for us to utilize something like Flexihash to make it better to replicate the data between the memcache servers? Reference: http://github.com/pda/flexihash Thanks!

  • What are you supposed to do with old SVN branches?

    - by John
    We had a SVN branch recently that had been merged back to trunk, and some more work on that feature/functional area was needed. I suggested using the same branch but was told you shouldn't re-use a branch once it has been integrated into trunk (a reference in SVN docs was given, I can't find it now). That suggests a branch is fairly useless once you merge back to trunk, so my question is once a branch is no longer needed, should it simply be deleted or kept?

  • Get a list/tuple/dict of *all* the arguments passed to a function?

    - by Phillip Oldham
    Given the following function: def foo(a, b, c): pass How would one obtain a list/tuple/dict/etc of the arguments passed in? Specifically, I'm looking for Python's version of JavaScript's arguments keyword or PHP's func_get_args() method. What I'm not looking for is a solution using *args or **kwargs; I need to specify the argument names in the function definition (to ensure they're being passed in) but within the function I want to work with them in a list- or dict-style structure.

  • Rails 3 and encrypted cookies with IE9

    - by user1832686
    I am using encrypted cookies to pass data to my rails app. Once these cookies get set, they are being passed just fine to Chrome, Firefox, Safari (iOS and OSX version), etc. However, the cookie isn't being passed back on Win7/IE9. I'm using Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3, and using the cookies.permanent.encrypted method of setting the cookie. E.g: cookies.permanent.encrypted[:some_data] = object.some_data Any ideas about what's going on?

  • Why can't i define recursive variable in code block?

    - by senia
    Why can't i define a variable recursively in a code block? scala> { | val fibs: Stream[Int] = 1 #:: fibs.scanLeft(1){_ + _} | } <console>:9: error: forward reference extends over definition of value fibs val fibs: Stream[Int] = 1 #:: fibs.scanLeft(1){_ + _} ^ scala> val fibs: Stream[Int] = 1 #:: fibs.scanLeft(1){_ + _} fibs: Stream[Int] = Stream(1, ?) lazy keyword solves this problem, but i can't understand why it works without a code block but throws a compilation error in a code block.

I have thounds of lines code have this pattern. I just want to pass compile by using some regular expression.

  • why we can't initialize a servlet using constructor itself?

    - by Reddy
    Why do we have to override init() method in Servlets while we can do the initialization in the constructor and have web container call the constructor passing ServletConfig reference to servlet while calling constructor? Ofcourse container has to use reflection for this but container has to use reflection anyway to call a simple no-arg constructor

  • Why is .NET Post different from CURL? broken?

    - by ironnailpiercethesky
    I dont understand this. I ran this code below and the result json string was the link is expired (meaning invalid). However the curl code does the exact same thing and works. I either get the expected string with the url or it says i need to wait (for a few seconds to 1 minute). Why? whats the difference between the two? It looks very F%^&*ed up that it is behaving differently (its been causing me HOURS of problems). NOTE: the only cookie required by the site is SID (tested). It holds your session id. The first post activates it and the 2nd command checks the status with the returning json string. Feel free to set the CookieContainer to only use SID if you like. WARNING: you may want to change SID to a different value so other people arent activating it. Your may want to run the 2nd url to ensure the session id is not used and says expired/invalid before you start. additional note: with curl or in your browser if you do the POST command you can stick the sid in .NET cookie container and the 2nd command will work. But doing the first command (the POST data) will not work. This post function i have used for many other sites that require post and so far it has worked. Obviously checking the Method is a big deal and i see it is indeed POST when doing the first command. static void Main(string[] args) { var cookie = new CookieContainer(); PostData("http://uploading.com/files/get/37e36ed8/", "action=second_page&file_id=9134949&code=37e36ed8", cookie); Thread.Sleep(4000); var res = PostData("http://uploading.com/files/get/?JsHttpRequest=12719362769080-xml&action=get_link&file_id=9134949&code=37e36ed8&pass=undefined", null/*this makes it GET*/, cookie); Console.WriteLine(res); /* curl -b "SID=37468830" -A "DUMMY_User_Aggent" -d "action=second_page&file_id=9134949&code=37e36ed8" "http://uploading.com/files/get/37e36ed8/" curl -b "SID=37468830" -A "DUMMY_User_Aggent" "http://uploading.com/files/get/?JsHttpRequest=12719362769080-xml&action=get_link&file_id=9134949&code=37e36ed8&pass=undefined" */ }
