  I am trying to create the below matrix in my vb.net so during processing I can get the match scores for the alphabets, for example: What is the match for A and N?, I will look into my inbuilt matrix and return -2 Similarly, What is the match for P and L?, I will look into my inbuilt matrix and return -3 Please suggest me how to go about it, I was trying to use nested dictionary like this: Dim myNestedDictionary As New Dictionary(Of String, Dictionary(Of String, Integer))() Dim lTempDict As New Dictionary(Of String, Integer) lTempDict.Add("A", 4) myNestedDictionary.Add("A", lTempDict) The other way could be is to read the Matrix from a text based file and then fill the two dimensional array. • Connect Access 2007 to SQL Server 2008 Database

  Hi, I've seen numerous answers to similar questions like this one. I haven't seen on the web many people have asked the seemingly simple question "How do I connect Access 2007 to an SQL server 2008 database" - but all of the answers describe how you can migrate from access 2007 to an sql server 2008 database, or they describe how to connect access 2007 to an sql server 2005 database. I can't find any simple solution to my problem (and probably this is a problem for many others). Here is the question (sorry for the over emphasis): How do I connect to an sql server 2008 database (and I mean 2008, not 2005 :) ) from access 2007? Apologies again for the over emphasis, but this very simple question, and what I thought should be a very simple task seems, yes, ... impossible! I tried running sql server browser, enabling pipes, TCP etc, but it seems that with 2008 SQLEXPRESS just isn't recognised! Please can someone help with this. Peter

  I'm new to Pascal and FastReport. This question can probably be answered without knowledge of FastReport. Pascal is Delphi. FastReport4. I have a text box accepting an 8 character string as input. Each character should be numeric. I'm attempting to validate each character as numeric. I've tried using the val function... Procedure Val(S : String; var R: Real; Code : Integer); begin end; procedure thisinputOnChange(Sender: TfrxComponent); var S : String; error : Integer; R : Real; begin S := thisinput.lines.text; Val (S, R, error); If error > 0 then Button2.enabled := False; end; I got this code online. The explanation says that the function will return an error with a code greater than zero if the character cannot be converted to an integer. Is that explanation correct? Am I misinterpreting? Right now I am trying to set a button's enabled property to false if the validation fails. I might change that to a message. For now, I would like to get it to work by setting the button property. I'm not sure if I should be using the onChange event or another event. I'm also not sure if I need to send the input to the val function in a loop. Like I said, I'm just learning how to use this function. I am able to validate the length. • The subscription model behind CSS selectors?

  With CSS selectors a query string body > h1.span subscribes to a specific type of nodes in the tree. Does anyone know how this is done? Selectors for transformations, how does the browser select the result set? And is there a trick to making it efficient? I imagine there being some sort of hierarchical type-tree for the entire structure to which the nodes subscribe and which is what is used when doing the selector queries — but this is only a guess. Does anyone know the real answer? Or even more interesting, what would be the best way to do dynamic lookups on a tree based on jQuery/CSS search queries?

  Hey Guys (and Ladies) I am looking at getting the image name from an image with a src loaded dynamically. Basically what I am doing is using the Google chat badge on a site to live chatting. And else where on the page, I have an image saying Live Chat:Online or Live Chat:Offline. And I want this to change depending on whether I am available to chat or not. Does this make sense? Anyway, the easiest way I figure to do this would be check the img url. If the img is offline.gif then obviously I am offline. An example of a dynamically loaded img would be something like <img src="http://www.google.com/talk/service/badge/Show?encrypted_acount_id_here" /> Once this image has loaded, it loads one of the following images "http://www.google.com/talk/service/resources/offlinef.gif" "http://www.google.com/talk/service/resources/idlef.gif" "http://www.google.com/talk/service/resources/onlinef.gif" Hopefully this make sense now. • Limiting choices from an intermediary ManyToMany junction table in Django

  Background I've created three Django models—Inventory, SalesOrder, and Invoice—to model items in inventory, sales orders for those items, and invoices for a particular sales order. Each sales order can have multiple items, so I've used an intermediary junction table—SalesOrderItems—using the through argument for the ManyToManyField. Also, partial billing of a sales orders is allowed, so I've created a ForeignKey in the Invoice model related to the SalesOrder model, so that a particular sales order can have multiple invoices. Here's where I deviate from what I've normally seen. Instead of relating the Invoice model to the Item model via a ManyToManyField, I've related the Invoice model to the SalesOrderItem intermediary junction table through the intermediary junction table InvoiceItem. I've done this because it better models reality—our invoices are tied to sales orders and can only include items that are tied to that sales order as opposed to any item in inventory. I will admit that it does seem strange having the intermediary junction table of a ManyToManyField related to the intermediary junction table of another ManyToManyField. Question How can I limit the choices available for the invoice_items in the Invoice model to just the sales_order_items of the SalesOrder model for that particular Invoice? (I tried using limit_choices_to= {'sales_order': self.invoice.sales_order}) as part of the item = models.ForeignKey(SalesOrderItem) in the InvoiceItem model, but that didn't work. Am I correct in thinking that limiting the choices for the invoice_items should be handled in the model instead of in a form?   Function socialbookmarksTableData(data) is called by another function to generate the content of a table -- data is a JSON object. Inside the function i call 2 other functions that use getJSON and POST (with json as a return object) to get some data. The problem is: though the functions execute correctly i get undefined value for the 2 variables (bookmarkingSites, bookmarkCategories).   I currently use a ContentObserver to listen for changes in the SMS ContentProvider and tell my application whether a message has been sent or received. Upon getting notification that a message is being sent I would like to present the user the option to send that SMS normally over GSM/CDMA or if connected to Wifi to send the SMS over an ip connection. I am aware of how to present my own application as an option to create and send an SMS when a user clicks on a contacts information and "Send SMS" but this is not what I want. I want the user to be able to use the native or a 3rd party SMS application and when they try to send an SMS present them with a dialog screen giving them the option to send the SMS in whichever direction they want. So is it possible that once I get notified an SMS is being sent to pause it, allow the user to pick the desired route to send it and then change the sms from being sent over GSM/CDMA to being sent using a protocol over IP if required?

  Hi there, I have a WPF app that has a ViewBox to display the items in my collection, diplaying a 2-column grid for my results. What I'd like to do is, depending on the number of items in my collection, change the number of columns. E.g if there are < 10 items in the list, then show them in just 1 column; If there are 10 items in my list, then show them in 2 columns; If there are 20 items in my list, then show 3 columns. I'm using Reminder fifteenMinReminder = new Reminder(); fifteenMinReminder.Minutes = 15; fifteenMinReminder.Method = Reminder.ReminderMethod.email; entry.Reminders.Add(fifteenMinReminder); on a brand new entry (where Reminder and Reminders are Nothing), but I cannot add a reminder using the above code (taken straight from the Google Docs), or set the entry.Reminder to fifteenMinReminder directly either. What am I doing wrong? I've had no trouble .adding When and Where's to the entry, but the Reminder doesn't want to follow the same pattern. Any ideas?

  Hi, Im being a bit lazy in NHibernate and using Session.CreateSqlQuery(...) instead of doing the whole thing with Lambda's. Anyway what struct me is that there seems to be a problem converting some of the types returned from (in this case the MySQL) DB into native .Net tyes. The query in question looks like this.... IList<Client> allocatableClients = Session.CreateSQLQuery( "select clients.id as Id, clients.name as Name, clients.customercode as CustomerCode, clients.superclient as SuperClient, clients.clienttypeid as ClientType " + ... ... .SetResultTransformer(new NHibernate.Transform.AliasToBeanResultTransformer(typeof(Client))).List<Client>(); The type in the database of SuperClient is a bit(1) and in the Client object the type is a bool. The error received is: System.ArgumentException: Object of type 'System.UInt64' cannot be converted to type 'System.Boolean'. It seems strange that this conversion cannot be completed. Would be greatful for any ideas. Thanks.

• Adding a sortcomparefunction to Dynamic Data Grid in flex

  Hi, I am trying to create a dynamic datagrid in Flex 3, I have a list of columns a list of objects which correspond to datapoints for those columns which I fetch from a url. While the grid works perfectly fine the problem is that sorting on the columns is done in lexical order. I am aware that this can be fixed by adding a sortcomparefunction to a column, which is not easy for this case. I have tried doing var dgc:DataGridColumn = new DataGridColumn(dtf); f1[dtf] = function(obj1:Object, obj2:Object):int { return Comparators.sortNumeric(obj1[dtf],obj2[dtf]); }; dgc.sortCompareFunction = f1[dtf];` But the problem is that the function object that I am creating here is being overwritten in every iteration (as I am adding columns) and eventually all the columns will have sorting done only on the last column added. Suggestions please.

  I have created a small search and filter form method post in controller/index, which posts to it self the conditions and fields to paginate ( $this-paginate($conditions) ) However that is good for the first page, the subsequent pages the filer conditions are lost. pagination passArgs supports get variables well. Is there an un complex way to pass the post conditions to the other paginated pages? The method I have looked at is pass the $conditions in session , which isnt without complexity of assigning session and unset the session on submitting the form again (more refinements to the filter criteria by the user ) The other method is passing the $conditions as serialized string url_encode as an get parameter. Is there an good cake way to do this more like passArgs, sessions and url encode do not look like cake style. Thanks

I setup my project to list all the docs in my feed, now that I have a document listing, I want to print its contents: for (DocumentListEntry entry : feed.getEntries()) { // Ok, how do we print the doc's contents now? entry.getContents(); } It looks like we're supposed to get the URL from the entry, then read the contents at the URL ourselves. I found a post stating that this is how we get that URL: MediaContent content = (MediaContent)entry.getContent(); String url = content.getUri(); but when I try to read from it, I get an html response saying 'this content has moved'. I read that this is because we have to authenticate our http-read method, but I'm not sure how to do that. Is there really no built-in way to do this? Thanks
