• Percona system tables corrupted.

  I am having problems setting up mysql replication with a percona as server. accidentally, took a full dump from mysql and restored it on percona and then started,the replication. now when i stop slave and start slave, i am getting the error "[ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './s5-bin.000003' (relay_log_pos 2029993) 110103 9:15:59 [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization " But show local variables shows the relay_log variable as set in the cnf file.. But the relay-log variable is set to slave-relay-bin alright. I am able to start mysql as a service. But mysqld_safe fails with error "110103 9:19:39 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Can't create/write to file '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid' (Errcode: 2) 110103 9:19:39 [ERROR] Can't start server: can't create PID file: No such file or directory " Am now lost as to what is the problem.

• Aligning messageformat on printing a JTable.

  I'm using this for the moment to print out my table, and it works. But I'm not really happy with the layout of the messageformatting, I would like to have both pagenumber and date in the footer, and date format aligned to the left side of the table, and page to the right. How can I do that? Been reading some stuff about overriding the PrintTable method, but seems to get pretty complex from what I've read.   Hi, As the function accepted by for_each take only one parameter (the element of the vector), I have to define a static int sum = 0 somewhere so that It can be accessed after calling the for_each . I think this is awkward.   Hello every body I was using the JDK very well writing the code then i use "javac" to compile it then "java" to run it But Recently when i write a code and compile it then if i try to run it this exception appears to me "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError " at first i thought there is something wrong in my code , i searched in the internet for a solving for this problem but i didn't find anything may help me Then i try to run the "HelloWorld" example i made it before, it runs i copied the code and pasted it in another file and changed the name to "HelloWorld2" and compile it by "javac" and tried to run it by "java" the same exception appears i was surprised why? it is the same code then i used the "javap" which decompile the code with both i found this difference in the first one (the old one) "public static void main(java.lang.String[])"; but in the second (the new one) "public static void main(String[])"; without java.lang then i compiled the old one which works and runs by "javac" and when i try to run it, it didn't run and give me the same exception i tried with some of my old codes it run and when i compile it by "javac" it doesn't work I searched to find a solution to this problem and i found nothing

• Survey statistic diagram ideas

  Hey everyone, I've got some homework tasks in topic surveys and diagrams. The first task is to normalize the input of a survey, because the structure of the data is changing from time-to-time. So there are three types of surveys: static fields, where text is stored dynamic ones, where the user can select one option and multiselect fields, where the user can select multiple options So I'm not really a statistics guy, so I have really no idea what I can do with that incomming data. So the data I have is stored in an orbital XML file from there I can easily get how man times a survey was filled, and how many times a field was filled, so I can (for eg on a pie chart show the relation of filled or not filled). The second idea is to show the relation between the content of a multi option element using a bar chart or so. In case of the multi option elements I've got the idea to show data in implication of one option. But the question is, what could be shown? The other problem are the static elements (text fields and so). What data could be represented from a single field? The data in the XML field is collected from 2001 to 2005 So maybe I can work with the dates of the surveys, but as I said, i don't really know how to process the data, to collect as much data as possible.

• How can I control UISlider Value Changed-events frequncy?

  I'm writing an iPhone app that is using two uisliders to control values that are sent using coreBluetooth. If I move the sliders quickly one value freezes at the receiver, presumably because the Value Changed events trigger so often that the write-commands stack up and eventually get thrown away. How can I make sure the events don't trigger too often? Edit: Here is a clarification of the problem; the bluetooth connection sends commands every 105ms. If the user generates a bunch of events during that time they seem to que up. I would like to throw away any values generated between the connection events and just send one every 105ms. • Concurrency problem with arrays (Java)

  For an algorithm I'm working on I tried to develop a blacklisting mechanism that can blacklist arrays in a specific way: If "1, 2, 3" is blacklisted "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" is also considered blacklisted. I'm quite happy with the solution I've come up with so far. But there seem to be some serious problems when I access a blacklist from multiple threads. The method "contains" (see code below) sometimes returns true, even if an array is not blacklisted. This problem does not occur if I only use one thread, so it most likely is a concurrency problem. I've tried adding some synchronization, but it didn't change anything. I also tried some slightly different implementations using java.util.concurrent classes. I think it something to do with the 'show/hide editor'. By default it goes into the WYSIWYG editor, so when updating static block i don't see any other solution than 1."hide the editor' by clicking 'show/hide editor' 2.delete the old code from the editor 3. get code that doesn't miss the DIVs 4. Merge new code with code in 3 in some other editing software than magento 5. paste result in the magento editor, 6. Save Is this bug? What is your solution? Can i turn of WYSIWYG editor?

• How can I remap control+e to escape+control+e in iTerm2?

  I have set up a few custom keyboard shortcuts in iTerm2 to easily move the cursor around with the arrow keys, but now I'd like to remap control+e to be escape, control+e because bash 4.2 no longer auto-expands variables using the tab key. I know I've done the first part correctly in choosing the keyboard shortcut to remap, but I don't understand how to look up the correct escape sequence (or hex codes) to send in the bottom section: I reference they keyboard codes but that wasn't much help. How can I remap this, and how can I look up the codes in the future? (No luck with Google) Update @db - thanks.   I have got a laptop which is configured to have the user profile in a network drive. This is causing me a lot of headaches since the connectivity to my company is very slow. I want to relocate the profile of my user into a local directory. How do I do that? Those are the settings at the moment: C:\>set HOME HOMEDRIVE=P: HOMEPATH=\ HOMESHARE=\\SOMESERVER\_myuser$ The drive P is a network drive mapped to HOMESHARE. I can't find where windows is setting those environment variables, not even in the registry. The laptop is running Windows XP.

  I try to get the full-name of the current log-in user (Fullname, not username). The following code C#, C++ works fine but on XP computers not connected to the Net, I get empty string as result if I run it ~20 minutes after login (It runs OK whithin the first ~20 minutes after login) A Win32 API (GetUserNameEx) is used rather that PrincipalContext since it PrincipalContext may takes up to 15 seconds when working offline. • C# call a C++ dll get EntryPointNotFoundException

  I was gaven a C++ dll file, a lib file and a header file. • SWIG: From Plain C++ to working Wrapper

I've been trying to create a SWIG wrapper for this tiny little C++ class for the better part of 3 hours with no success, so I was hoping one of you out there could lend me a small hand. My steps were Create an example.i file Compile original alongside example_wrap.cxx (no linking) link resulting object files together Create a little java test file (see below) javac all .java files there and run Well steps 4 and 5 have created a host of problems for me, starting with the basic ( library 'example' not found due to not being in java's path ) to the weird ( library not found even unless LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to something, even if it's nothing at all). • Creating android app Database with big amount of data

  Hi all, The database of my application need to be filled with a lot of data, so during onCreate(), it's not only some create table sql instructions, there is a lot of inserts. The solution I chose is to store all this instructions in a sql file located in res/raw and which is loaded with Resources.openRawResource(id). It works well but I face to encoding issue, I have some accentuated caharacters in the sql file which appears bad in my application. Any help on this would be much appreciated, I do understand that this is complex stuff.
