Do we have to really write a constant every time in each project in every pom.xml and related configuration files again and again? How can we avoid doing this?     Hi, I am using C# to write/read to an Access 2007 Database. The table is ID - AutoNumber [pkey] Fname - Text Lname - Text Address - Text The query string I Use is "Insert into TblMain (Fname,Lname,Address) Values ('"+fname+"','"+lname+"','"+adrs+"')" No errors are returned, the query executes but data is not added to the db. Inserting to table using which does not have an autonumber data column works perfectly. What am I missing?

The problem is across different sites, they may have articles on the same exact subject, worded slightly differently.     Hi everyone, even though it is possible to write generic code in C using void pointer(generic pointer), I find that it is quite difficult to debug the code since void pointer can take any pointer type without warning from compiler. (e.g function foo() take void pointer which is supposed to be pointer to struct, but compiler won't complain if char array is passed.) What kind of approach/strategy do you all use when using void pointer in C?

  • Using Python, what's the best way to create a set of files on disk for testing?

    I'm looking for a way to create a tree of test files to unit test a packaging tool. Basically, I want to create some common file system structures -- directories, nested directories, symlinks within the selected tree, symlinks outside the tree, &c. Ideally I want to do this with as little boilerplate as possible. Of course, I could hand-write the set of files I want to see, but I'm thinking that somebody has to have automated this for a test suite somewhere. Any suggestions?

    I am trying to make a macro in Outlook that will scan the To: list for a certain text string, and spit out a message if all but one (or two, etc) addresses have it. Is there a simple way to do this? Essentially, I am trying to write something that'll avoid being able to send a restricted message to a bunch of people with the string 'xyz' in the address, if one or more do not have it. AutoComplete makes this difficult, without checking through one-by-one.
