  • struts2-json-plugin not retrieving json data from action class for Struts-JQuery-Plugin grid

    - by thebravedave
    Hello, Im having an issue getting json working with the struts-jquery-plugin-2.1.0 I have included the struts2-json-plugin-2.1.8.1 in my classpath as well. Im sure that I have my struts-jquery-plugin configured correctly because the grid loads, but doesnt load the data its supposed to get from the action class that has been json'ized. The documentation with the json plugin and the struts-jquery plugin leaves ALOT of gaps that I cant even find with examples/tutorials, so I come to the community at stackoverflow. My action class has a property called gridModel thats a List with a basic POJO called Customer. Customer is a pojo with one property, id. I have a factory that supplies the populated List to the actions List property which i mentioned called gridModel. Heres how i set up my struts.xml file: <constant name="struts.devMode" value="true"/> <constant name="struts.objectFactory" value="guice"/> <package name="org.webhop.ywdc" namespace="/" extends="struts-default,json-default"> <result-types> <result-type name="json" class="com.googlecode.jsonplugin.JSONResult"> </result-type> </result-types> <action name="login" class="org.webhop.ywdc.LoginAction" > <result type="json"></result> <result name="success" type="dispatcher">/pages/uiTags/Success.jsp</result> <result name="error" type="redirect">/pages/uiTags/Login.jsp</result> <interceptor-ref name="cookie"> <param name="cookiesName">JSESSIONID</param> </interceptor-ref> </action> <action name="logout" class="org.webhop.ywdc.LogoutAction" > <result name="success" type="redirect">/pages/uiTags/Login.jsp</result> </action> </package> In the struts.xml file i set the and in my action i listed in the action configuration. Heres my jsp page that the action loads: <%@ taglib prefix="s" uri="/struts-tags" % <%@ taglib prefix="sj" uri="/struts-jquery-tags"% <%@ taglib prefix="sjg" uri="/struts-jquery-grid-tags"% <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html" import="java.util.*"% Welcome, you have logged in! <s:url id="remoteurl" action="login"/> <sjg:grid id="gridtable" caption="Customer Examples" dataType="json" href="%{remoteurl}" pager="false" gridModel="gridModel" > <sjg:gridColumn name="id" key="true" index="id" title="ID" formatter="integer" sortable="false"/> </sjg:grid> Welcome, you have logged in. <br /> <b>Session Time: </b><%=new Date(session.getLastAccessedTime())%> <h2>Password:<s:property value="password"/></h2> <h2>userId:<s:property value="userId"/></h2> <br /> <a href="<%= request.getContextPath() %>/logout.action">Logout</a><br /><br /> ID: <s:property value="id"/> session id: <s:property value="JSESSIONID"/> </body> Im not really sure how to tell what json the json plugin is creating from the action class. If i did know how i could tell if it wasnt formed properly. As far as I know if I specificy in my action configuration in struts.xml, that the grid, which is set to read json and knows to look for "gridModel" will then automatically load the json to the grid, but its not. Heres my action class: public class LoginAction extends ActionSupport { public String JSESSIONID; public int id; private String userId; private String password; public Members member; public List<Customer> gridModel; public String execute() { Cookie cookie = new Cookie("ywdcsid", password); cookie.setMaxAge(3600); HttpServletResponse response = ServletActionContext.getResponse(); response.addCookie(cookie); HttpServletRequest request = ServletActionContext.getRequest(); Cookie[] ckey = request.getCookies(); for(Cookie c: ckey) { System.out.println(c.getName() + "/cookie_name + " + c.getValue() + "/cookie_value"); } Map requestParameters = ActionContext.getContext().getParameters();//getParameters(); String[] testString = (String[])requestParameters.get("password"); String passwordString = testString[0]; String[] usernameArray = (String[])requestParameters.get("userId"); String usernameString = usernameArray[0]; Injector injector = Guice.createInjector(new GuiceModule()); HibernateConnection connection = injector.getInstance(HibernateConnection.class); AuthenticationServices currentService = injector.getInstance(AuthenticationServices.class); currentService.setConnection(connection); currentService.setInjector(injector); member = currentService.getMemberByUsernamePassword(usernameString, passwordString); userId = member.getUsername(); password = member.getPassword(); CustomerFactory customerFactory = new CustomerFactory(); gridModel = customerFactory.getCustomers(); if(member == null) { return ERROR; } else { id = member.getId(); Map session = ActionContext.getContext().getSession(); session.put(usernameString, member); return SUCCESS; } } public String logout() throws Exception { Map session = ActionContext.getContext().getSession(); session.remove("logged-in"); return SUCCESS; } public List<Customer> getGridModel() { return gridModel; } public void setGridModel(List<Customer> gridModel) { this.gridModel = gridModel; } public String getPassword() { return password; } public void setPassword(String password) { this.password = password; } public String getUserId() { return userId; } public void setUserId(String userId) { this.userId = userId; } public String getJSESSIONID() { return JSESSIONID; } public void setJSESSIONID(String jsessionid) { JSESSIONID = jsessionid; } } Please help me with this problem. You will make my week, as this is a major bottleneck for me :( thanks so much, thebravedave

Can you please suggest me what I am missing in my code? <asp:ListView ID="lvParent" runat="server" OnItemDataBound="lvParent_ItemDataBound" onitemcanceling="lvParent_ItemCanceling" onitemcommand="lvParent_ItemCommand" DataKeyNames="ItemID" onitemdeleting="lvParent_ItemDeleting" oniteminserting="lvParent_ItemInserting" > <LayoutTemplate> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="itemPlaceholder" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder> <div align="right"> <asp:Button ID="btnInsert" runat="server" Text="ADD Item" onclick="btnInsert_Click"/> </div> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <table runat="server" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td> <div id="dvDetail"> <span >Description</span> <asp:TextBox ID="txtDescription" runat="server" Text='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Description") %>' TextMode="MultiLine" ></asp:TextBox> </div> <div id="dvFeature" > <span>Feature List</span> <asp:ListView ID="lvChild" runat="server" InsertItemPosition="LastItem" DataKeyNames="FeatureID" OnItemCommand="lvChild_ItemCommand" OnItemCanceling="lvChild_ItemCanceling" OnItemDeleting="lvChild_ItemDeleting" OnItemEditing="lvChild_ItemEditing" OnItemInserting="lvChild_ItemInserting" OnItemUpdating="lvChild_ItemUpdating" DataSource='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureList") %>' > <LayoutTemplate> <ul > <asp:PlaceHolder runat="server" ID="itemPlaceHolder" ></asp:PlaceHolder> </ul> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <li> <span class="dvList"><%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureTitle")%></span> <div class="dvButton" > <asp:ImageButton ID="btnEdit" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/edit_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Edit" CommandName="Edit" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureID") %>' Width="12" Height="12" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnDelete" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/delete_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Delete" CommandName="Delete" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureID") %>' Width="12" Height="12" /> </div> </li> </ItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <li> <asp:TextBox ID="txtFeature" Text='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureTitle")%>' runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <div class="dvButton"> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnUpdate" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/ok_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Update" CommandName="Update" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureID") %>' Width="12" Height="12" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnCancel" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/delete_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Cancel" CommandName="Cancel" Width="12" Height="12" CausesValidation="false" /> </div> </li> </EditItemTemplate> <InsertItemTemplate> <asp:TextBox ID="txtFeature" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <div class="dvButton"> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnInsert" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/ok_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Insert" CommandName="Insert" Width="12" Height="12" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnCancel" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/delete_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Cancel" CommandName="Cancel" Width="12" Height="12" CausesValidation="false" /> </div> </InsertItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> </div> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="right"> <div id="dvButton" > <asp:Button ID="btnSave" runat="server" Text="Save" CommandName="Save" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ItemID") %>' /> <asp:Button ID="btnDelete" runat="server" Text="Delete" CssClass="Cancel" CommandName="Delete" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ItemID") %>' /> </div> </td> </tr> </table> </ItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> Code Behind: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (Page.IsPostBack == false) { BindData(); } } private void BindData() { MyDataContext data = new MyDataContext(); var result = from itm in data.ItemLists where itm.ItemID == iItemID select new { itm.ItemID, itm.Description, FeatureList = itm.Features }; lvParent.DataSource = result; lvParent.DataBind(); } protected void lvChild_ItemEditing(object sender, ListViewEditEventArgs e) { ListView lvChild = sender as ListView; lvChild.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex; lvChild.DataBind(); } Edit: protected void lvChild_ItemEditing(object sender, ListViewEditEventArgs e) { ListView lvChild = sender as ListView; lvChild.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex; lvChild.DataBind(); } If I use "lvChild.DataBind()" in 'ItemEditing' event, the total list of child items goes away if I click 'edit' protected void lvChild_ItemEditing(object sender, ListViewEditEventArgs e) { ListView lvChild = sender as ListView; lvChild.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex; } if I get rid of 'lvChild.Databind' in ItemEditing event, it goes to Edit mode after clicking the 'edit' button twice . And though it shows textbox control of EditItemTemplate, it appears as a blank textbox (does not bind existing value to edit).

  • Flash and Google Maps - Only Last Icon showing

    - by Peter
    I have a simple Map and geocoding sample in Flash using CS4 The problem is simple - I can retrieve a short list from the google search api, but when I try to generate the icons on the map using a loop, only the last icon is displayed. (ignore the house icon, it is generated earlier) I feel I am missing something or made a stupid AS3 mistake (like treating it as if it was c#) - or even a stupid wood-for-the-trees mistake. The problem is in the last line of the code. I have added all my code just in case somebody else can find a use for it - lord knows it took me a great while to figure this out :) It runs here (also, if anybody has an idea why the icon is slightly in the wrong place on render, but corrects if you move the map - please let me know) Any help would be great. Thanks. • On screen orientation loads again data with Async Task

    - by Zookey
    I make Android application with master/detail pattern. So I have ListActivity class which is FragmentActivity and ListFragment class which is Fragment It all works perfect, but when I change screen orientation it calls again AsyncTask and reload all data. Here is the code for ListActivity class where I handle all logic: @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_list); getActionBar().setDisplayHomeAsUpEnabled(true); getActionBar().setHomeButtonEnabled(true); getActionBar().setTitle("Dnevni horoskop"); if(findViewById(R.id.details_container) != null){ //Tablet mTwoPane = true; //Fragment stuff FragmentManager fm = getSupportFragmentManager(); FragmentTransaction ft = fm.beginTransaction(); DetailsFragment df = new DetailsFragment(); ft.add(R.id.details_container, df); ft.commit(); } pb = (ProgressBar) findViewById(R.id.pb_list); tvNoConnection = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.tv_no_internet); ivNoConnection = (ImageView) findViewById(R.id.iv_no_connection); list = (GridView) findViewById(R.id.gv_list); • CakePHP 3-level-deep model associatons

    - by user357452
    Hi, I am relatively new to CakePHP, I am doing fine with the documentation, but I've been trying to find a way out to this problem for weeks and I don't seem to find the solution, I am sure it is easy and maybe even automagicaly doable, but I just don't know how to find it (maybe I don't know the jargon for these kind of things) My model structure is like this: <?php class Trip extends AppModel { var $belongsTo = array( 'User' => array( 'className' => 'User', 'foreignKey' => 'user_id' ), 'Start' => array( 'className' => 'Place', 'foreignKey' => 'start_id' ), 'End' => array( 'className' => 'Place', 'foreignKey' => 'end_id' ), 'Transport' => array( 'className' => 'Transport', 'foreignKey' => 'transport_id' ) ); } ?> <?php class Place extends AppModel { var $belongsTo = array( 'User' => array( 'className' => 'User', 'foreignKey' => 'user_id' ), 'Country' => array( 'className' => 'Country', 'foreignKey' => 'country_id' ), 'State' => array( 'className' => 'State', 'foreignKey' => 'state_id' ), 'City' => array( 'className' => 'City', 'foreignKey' => 'city_id' ) ); var $hasMany = array( 'PlaceStart' => array( 'className' => 'trip', 'foreignKey' => 'start_id', 'dependent' => false ), 'PlaceEnd' => array( 'className' => 'trip', 'foreignKey' => 'end_id', 'dependent' => false ) ); } ?> <?php class State extends AppModel { var $belongsTo = array( 'Country' => array( 'className' => 'Country', 'foreignKey' => 'country_id', 'conditions' => '', 'fields' => '', 'order' => '' ) ); var $hasMany = array( 'City' => array( 'className' => 'City', 'foreignKey' => 'city_id', 'dependent' => false ) ); } ?> ... and so forth with User, City, Country, and Transport Models. What I am trying to achieve is to get all the information of the whole tree when I search for a Trip. <?php class TripController extends AppController { function index() { debug($this->Trip->find('first')); } } Outputs Array ( [Trip] => Array ( [id] => 6 [created] => 2010-05-04 00:23:59 [user_id] => 4 [start_id] => 2 [end_id] => 1 [title] => My trip [transport_id] => 1 ) [User] => Array ( [id] => 4 [name] => John Doe [email] => [email protected] ) [Start] => Array ( [id] => 2 [user_id] => 4 [country_id] => 1 [state_id] => 1 [city_id] => 1 [direccion] => Lincoln Street ) [End] => Array ( [id] => 1 [user_id] => 4 [country_id] => 1 [state_id] => 1 [city_id] => 4 [address] => Fifth Avenue ) [Transport] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => car ) ) Here is the question: How do I get in one query all the information down the tree? I would like to have something like Array ( [Trip] => Array ( [id] => 6 [created] => 2010-05-04 00:23:59 [User] => Array ( [id] => 4 [name] => John Doe [email] => [email protected] ) [Start] => Array ( [id] => 2 [user_id] => 4 [Country] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] = Spain ) [State] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] = Barcelona ) [City] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] = La Floresta ) [address] => Lincoln Street ) [End] => (same as Start) [title] => My trip [Transport] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => car ) ) ) Can CakePHP create this kind of data? Not only for $this->Model->find() but also for $this->paginate() as for example: // filter by start if(isset($this->passedArgs['start'])) { //debug('isset '.$this->passedArgs['start']); $start = $this->passedArgs['start']; $this->paginate['conditions'][] = array( 'OR' => array( 'Start.address LIKE' => "%$start%", 'Start.State.name LIKE' => "%$start%", 'Start.City.name LIKE' => "%$start%", 'Start.Country.name LIKE' => "%$start%" ) ); $this->data['Search']['start'] = $start; } It seems like a rough question but I am sure this is extensively done and documented, I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks Cheers Naoise

  • How to make a dial up connection disconnect automatically after downloading + uploading 90 MB data in Windows?

    - by Shanky
    I am using a modem (ZTE USB Modem FFF1) to connect to internet and I want it to disconnect automatically after completing 90 MB (Downloaded data + Uploaded Data). Can anyone suggest how can I do this. I am using a desktop computer running on Windows 8 Consumer Preview. There's no router. I am using a dial up connection to connect. I just want to limit the data usage of my internet connection, considering sent data + received data.

  • Data Formatters temporarily unavailable

    - by iphone newbie
    I'm currently working on an iPhone app. This app has a login screen, also a signup screen. After the user has successfully signed up, I dismiss the signup view, then the app automatically logs in using the created account. After which, the login view is dismissed, showing the main view. I'm trying to modify this by immediately dismissing the login view, since I already have the account details of the user when the signup is successful. Basically, the ideal flow is: after the user successfully signs up, I save the username and password in a singleton class, then dismiss the signup view. When I get to the parent view (which is the login screen), I have a variable that checks if there was a successful signup. If that variable is true, I want to immediately dismiss the login view. However, I come across this error message: Data Formatters temporarily unavailable, will re-try after a 'continue'. (Unknown error loading shared library "/Developer/usr/lib/libXcodeDebuggerSupport.dylib") I'm not really sure why this happens. I have no problems dismissing the login view when I go through the actual login procedure - which of course also dismisses the login view if the user inputs a correct username and password. I'm not exactly sure, but I'm starting to think that the iPhone cannot handle dismissing 2 view controllers almost at the same time. Is it possible that I'm dismissing the login view too quickly? Is that a factor? Is there anyway for me to be able to dismiss 2 view controllers almost simultaneously without coming across this error message?

  • Silverlight data binding to parent user control's properties with using MVVM in both controls

    - by MagicMax
    Hello! I have two UserControls ("UserControlParentView" and "UserControlChildView") with MVVM pattern implemented in both controls. Parent control is a container for Child control and child control's property should be updated by data binding from Parent control in order to show/hide some check box inside Child control. Parent Control Description UserControlParentViewModel has property: private bool isShowCheckbox = false; public bool IsShowCheckbox { get { return isShowCheckbox; } set { isShowCheckbox = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("IsShowCheckbox"); } } UserControlParentViewModel - how I set DataContext of Parent control: public UserControlParentView() { InitializeComponent(); this.DataContext = new UserControlParentViewModel(); } UserControlParentView contains toggle button (in XAML), bound to UserControlParentViewModel's property IsShowCheckbox <ToggleButton Grid.Column="1" IsChecked="{Binding IsShowCheckbox, Mode=TwoWay}"></ToggleButton> Also Parent control contains instance of child element (somewhere in XAML) <local:UserControlChildView IsCheckBoxVisible="{Binding IsShowCheckbox}" ></local:UserControlChildView> so property in child control should be updated when user togggle/untoggle button. Child control contains Boolean property to be updated from parent control, but nothing happened! Breakpoint never fired! Property in UserControlChildView that should be updated from Parent control (here I plan to make chechBox visible/hidden in code behind): public bool IsCheckBoxVisible { get { return (bool)GetValue(IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty); } set { SetValue(IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty, value); } } // Using a DependencyProperty as the backing store for IsCheckBoxVisible. This enables animation, styling, binding, etc... public static readonly DependencyProperty IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("IsCheckBoxVisible", typeof(bool), typeof(TopMenuButton), new PropertyMetadata(false)); So the question is - what I'm doing wrong? Why child's property is never updated? BTW - there is no any binding error warnings in Output window...

  • Send large JSON data to WCF Rest Service

    - by Christo Fur
    Hi I have a client web page that is sending a large json object to a proxy service on the same domain as the web page. The proxy (an ashx handler) then forwards the request to a WCF Rest Service. Using a WebClient object (standard .net object for making a http request) The JSON successfully arrives at the proxy via a jQuery POST on the client webpage. However, when the proxy forwards this to the WCF service I get a Bad Request - Error 400 This doesn't happen when the size of the json data is small The WCF service contract looks like this [WebInvoke(Method = "POST", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.Wrapped, RequestFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json, ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json)] [OperationContract] CarConfiguration CreateConfiguration(CarConfiguration configuration); And the DataContract like this [DataContract(Namespace = "")] public class CarConfiguration { [DataMember(Order = 1)] public int CarConfigurationId { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 2)] public int UserId { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 3)] public string Model { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 4)] public string Colour { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 5)] public string Trim { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 6)] public string ThumbnailByteData { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 6)] public string Wheel { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 7)] public DateTime Date { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 8)] public List<string> Accessories { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 9)] public string Vehicle { get; set; } [DataMember(Order = 10)] public Decimal Price { get; set; } } When the ThumbnailByteData field is small, all is OK. When it is large I get the 400 error What are my options here? I've tried increasing the MaxBytesRecived config setting but that is not enough Any ideas?

  • Unable to determine the provider name for connection of type 'System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeConnectio

    - by Hobbes1312
    Hi, i am using the Ado.Net Entity Framework with Code Only (Tutorial at: ADO.NET team blog) and i want to be as much database independent as possible. In my first approach i just want to go for Sql Express and Sql Compact databases. With Sql Express everthing works fine but with Sql Compact i get the exception mentioned in my question. Does anybody knows if it is possible to connect to Sql Compact with the Code Only approach? (with a generated .edmx file for a Sql Compact database everthing works fine, but i want to use code only!) Here is some code: My Class which is building the DataContext: public class DataContextBuilder : IDataContextBuilder { private readonly DbProviderFactory _factory; public DataContextBuilder(DbProviderFactory factory) { _factory = factory; } #region Implementation of IDataContextBuilder public IDataContext CreateDataContext(string connectionString) { var builder = new ContextBuilder<DataContext>(); RegisterConfiguration(builder); var connection = _factory.CreateConnection(); connection.ConnectionString = connectionString; var ctx = builder.Create(connection); return ctx; } #endregion private void RegisterConfiguration(ContextBuilder<DataContext> builder) { builder.Configurations.Add(new PersonConfiguration()); } } The line var ctx = builder.Create(connection); is throwing the exception. The IDataContext is just a simple Interface for the ObjectContext: public interface IDataContext { int SaveChanges(); IObjectSet<Person> PersonSet { get; } } My connection string is configured in the app.config: <connectionStrings> <add name="CompactConnection" connectionString="|DataDirectory|\Test.sdf" providerName="System.Data.SqlServerCe.3.5" /> </connectionStrings> And the build action is started with var cn = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["CompactConnection"]; var factory = DbProviderFactories.GetFactory(cn.ProviderName); var builder = new DataContextBuilder(factory); var context = builder.CreateDataContext(cn.ConnectionString);

  • Parse html and find data in the html

    - by Dan.StackOverflow
    Hi all. I am trying to use html5lib to parse an html page in to something I can query with xpath. html5lib has close to zero documentation and I've spent too much time trying to figure this problem out. Ultimate goal is to pull out the second row of a table: <html> <table> <tr><td>Header</td></tr> <tr><td>Want This</td></tr> </table> </html> so lets try it: >>> doc = html5lib.parse('<html><table><tr><td>Header</td></tr><tr><td>Want This</td> </tr></table></html>', treebuilder='lxml') >>> doc <lxml.etree._ElementTree object at 0x1a1c290> that looks good, lets see what else we have: >>> root = doc.getroot() >>> print(lxml.etree.tostring(root)) <html:html xmlns:html="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><html:head/><html:body><html:table><html:tbody><html:tr><html:td>Header</html:td></html:tr><html:tr><html:td>Want This</html:td></html:tr></html:tbody></html:table></html:body></html:html> LOL WUT? seriously. I was planning on using some xpath to get at the data I want, but that doesn't seem to work. So what can I do? I am willing to try different libraries and approaches.

  • Greyscale Image from YUV420p data

    - by fergs
    From what I have read on the internet the Y value is the luminance value and can be used to create a grey scale image. The following link: http://www.bobpowell.net/grayscale.htm, has some C# code on working out the luminance of a bitmap image : { Bitmap bm = new Bitmap(source.Width,source.Height); for(int y=0;y<bm.Height;y++) public Bitmap ConvertToGrayscale(Bitmap source) { for(int x=0;x<bm.Width;x++) { Color c=source.GetPixel(x,y); int luma = (int)(c.R*0.3 + c.G*0.59+ c.B*0.11); bm.SetPixel(x,y,Color.FromArgb(luma,luma,luma)); } } return bm; } I have a method that returns the YUV values and have the Y data in a byte array. I have the current piece of code and it is failing on Marshal.Copy – attempted to read or write protected memory. public Bitmap ConvertToGrayscale2(byte[] yuvData, int width, int height) { Bitmap bmp; IntPtr blue = IntPtr.Zero; int inputOffSet = 0; long[] pixels = new long[width * height]; try { for (int y = 0; y < height; y++) { int outputOffSet = y * width; for (int x = 0; x < width; x++) { int grey = yuvData[inputOffSet + x] & 0xff; unchecked { pixels[outputOffSet + x] = UINT_Constant | (grey * INT_Constant); } } inputOffSet += width; } blue = Marshal.AllocCoTaskMem(pixels.Length); Marshal.Copy(pixels, 0, blue, pixels.Length); // fails here : Attempted to read or write protected memory bmp = new Bitmap(width, height, width, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb, blue); } catch (Exception) { throw; } finally { if (blue != IntPtr.Zero) { Marshal.FreeHGlobal(blue); blue = IntPtr.Zero; } } return bmp; } Any help would be appreciated?

  • Get data from selected row in Gridview in C#, WPF

    - by Will
    Hi, I am trying to retrieve data from a Gridview that I have created in XAML. <ListView Name="chartListView" selectionChanged="chartListView_SelectionChanged"> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="Name" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Name}" Width="250"/> <GridViewColumn Header="Type" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Type}" Width="60"/> <GridViewColumn Header="ID" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding ID}" Width="100"/> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> I have seen some code like this :- GridViewRow row = GridView1.SelectedRow; TextBox2.Text = row.Cells[2].Text; However my problem is that my GridView is created in XAML, and is not named, ie I cannot (or do not know how to) create a reference to 'gridview1', and therefore cannot access objects within it. Can I name or create a reference to my gridview either from c# or XAML so I can use the above code? Secondly, can I then access the array elements by name instead of index, something like :- TextBox2.Text = row.Cells["ID"].Text Thanks for any help.

  • How to achieve "Blendability" when using DataServiceCollection in my ViewModel

    - by andlju
    I'm looking at using oData endpoints in my Silverlight client. Naturally, I'm doing MVVM and I want the project to be nice and "Blendable" (i.e. I must be able to cleanly use static data instead of the oData endpoints when in design mode.) Now to the problem. I'd like to use the DataServiceCollection in my ViewModels, since it allows for nice bindable collections without having to worry too much with BeginExecute/EndExecute etc. Now, let's look at some code. My Model interface looks like this: public interface ITasksModel { IQueryable<Task> Tasks { get; } } The oData endpoint implementation of that interface: public class TasksModel : ITasksModel { Uri svcUri = new Uri("http://localhost:2404/Services/TasksDataService.svc"); TaskModelContainer _container; public TasksModel() { _container = new TaskModelContainer(svcUri); } public IQueryable<Task> Tasks { get { return _container.TaskSet; } } } And the "Blendable" design-time implementation: public class DesignModeTasksModel : ITasksModel { private List<Task> _taskCollection = new List<Task>(); public DesignModeTasksModel() { _taskCollection.Add(new Task() { Id = 1, Title = "Task 1" }); _taskCollection.Add(new Task() { Id = 2, Title = "Task 2" }); _taskCollection.Add(new Task() { Id = 3, Title = "Task 3" }); } public IQueryable<Task> Tasks { get { return _taskCollection.AsQueryable(); } } } However, when I try to use this last one in my ViewModel constructor: public TaskListViewModel(ITasksModel tasksModel) { _tasksModel = tasksModel; _tasks = new DataServiceCollection<Task>(); _tasks.LoadAsync(_tasksModel.Tasks); } I get an exception: Only a typed DataServiceQuery object can be supplied when calling the LoadAsync method on DataServiceCollection. First of all, if this is the case, why not make the input parameter of LoadAsync be typed as DataServiceQuery? Second, what is the "proper" way of doing what I'm trying to accomplish?

There seems to be a discrepancy between the XPATH that I'm seeing in Chrome Devtools as well as Firebug on Firefox and what my C# program is seeing. The code I'm currently using is pretty quick and dirty... //This function retrieves data from the digikey private static List<string> ExtractProductInfo(HtmlDocument doc) { List<HtmlNode> m_unparsedProductInfoNodes = new List<HtmlNode>(); List<string> m_unparsedProductInfo = new List<string>(); //Base Node for part info string m_baseNode = @"//html[1]/body[1]/div[2]"; //Write part info to list m_unparsedProductInfoNodes.Add(doc.DocumentNode.SelectSingleNode(m_baseNode + @"/table[1]/tr[1]/td[1]/table[1]/tr[1]/td[1]")); //More lines of similar form will go here for more info //this retrieves digikey PN foreach(HtmlNode node in m_unparsedProductInfoNodes) { m_unparsedProductInfo.Add(node.InnerText); } return m_unparsedProductInfo; } Although the path I'm using appears to be "correct" I keep getting NULL when I look at the list "m_unparsedProductInfoNodes" Any idea what's going on here? I'll also add that if I do a "SelectNodes" on the baseNode it only returns a div... not sure what that indicates but it doesn't seem right.

  • Faster way to transfer table data from linked server

    - by spender
    After much fiddling, I've managed to install the right ODBC driver and have successfully created a linked server on SQL Server 2008, by which I can access my PostgreSQL db from SQL server. I'm copying all of the data from some of the tables in the PgSQL DB into SQL Server using merge statements that take the following form: with mbRemote as ( select * from openquery(someLinkedDb,'select * from someTable') ) merge into someTable mbLocal using mbRemote on mbLocal.id=mbRemote.id when matched /*edit*/ /*clause below really speeds things up when many rows are unchanged*/ /*can you think of anything else?*/ and not (mbLocal.field1=mbRemote.field1 and mbLocal.field2=mbRemote.field2 and mbLocal.field3=mbRemote.field3 and mbLocal.field4=mbRemote.field4) /*end edit*/ then update set mbLocal.field1=mbRemote.field1, mbLocal.field2=mbRemote.field2, mbLocal.field3=mbRemote.field3, mbLocal.field4=mbRemote.field4 when not matched then insert ( id, field1, field2, field3, field4 ) values ( mbRemote.id, mbRemote.field1, mbRemote.field2, mbRemote.field3, mbRemote.field4 ) WHEN NOT MATCHED BY SOURCE then delete; After this statement completes, the local (SQL Server) copy is fully in sync with the remote (PgSQL server). A few questions about this approach: is it sane? it strikes me that an update will be run over all fields in local rows that haven't necessarily changed. The only prerequisite is that the local and remote id field match. Is there a more fine grained approach/a way of constraining the merge statment to only update rows that have actually changed?

  • Ajax Asynchronous in IE - Error "The Data Necessary to Complete This Operation is Not Yet Available"

    - by Supernovah
    Hey there. I have a 100% valid Ajax model written in Javascript with a few inputs I use being, Get or Post method, What page to communicate with, What String to send to that page and What element on my own page I might be fiddling with when I receive my response. The problem is that, should I set the request to Asynchronous (Hence Ajax), IE returns the error "The Data Necessary to Complete This Operation is Not Yet Available" in the onreadystatechange event where all I do is check if the readystate is 4 and the status is 200. The error doesn't come up in Firefox or Chrome as I would exepect as the Ajax is Asynchronous. Heres a snippet from the Post method xmlhttp.open("POST", commPage, true); xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Content-Type","application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8"); xmlhttp.onreadystatechange = function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState == 4 && xmlhttp.status == 200) { j = xmlhttp.responseText; i.innerHTML = j; } } xmlhttp.send(str); Edit: I should point out that in IE, I'm using the ActiveX Control - Msxml2.XMLHTTP or Microsoft.XMLHTTP or whichever returns true first.

  • Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Two components with the same id.

    - by Irwin
    I'm working in ASP .NET dynamic data. In one of my edit controls I wanted to allow the user to add records from a related table to the current page. (Literally, if you are on the orders page, you would be allowed to add a new customer to the system on this page as well, and then associate it with that order). So, I have a DetailsView set to InsertMode, nested inside of an UpdatePanel, which is shown by a ModalPopupExtender which is invoked when 'add new' is clicked. This doohickey works the first time i execute this process, that is, a customer is added (and i update the dropdown list as well). However, I realized it didn't work (properly) again until I refreshed the entire page. When I attached my debugger, my worst fears were realized (ok, not really). But an exception was being thrown: "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Two components with the same id." Which seemed to be complaining about a Calendar Extender Control that is part of the details view. Any guidance on what's going on here would be great. Thanks.

  • crystal reports : cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report

    - by phill
    I've recently come across the following error in one of my crystal reports following an accounting system update. Group #1: ? - A : This group section cannot be printed because its condition field is nonexistent or invalid. Format the section to choose another condition field. I've verified every database field being used to ensure it still exists for consistency and checked the formulas for that section. No dice. So to hopefully fix the problem, i remove the section using the Section expert. I run the same database checks. It then complains with the same error for Group #5. So i remove that as well. now I have a new and unusual error when i attempt to run 'Show Query'. the error is: "Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report" I have tried to logon/logoff the database and verify database. No complaints until i try to run, show query. When I attempt to run the report, it also throws the same error. any ideas? Am I approaching this incorrectly? this is done in crystal reports 10. note: this report is run with the sql sa user to eliminate any permission issues.

  • Design approach, string table data, variables, stl memory usage

    - by howieh
    I have an old structure class like this: typedef vector<vector<string>> VARTYPE_T; which works as a single variable. This variable can hold from one value over a list to data like a table. Most values are long,double, string or double [3] for coordinates (x,y,z). I just convert them as needed. The variables are managed in a map like this : map<string,VARTYPE_T *> where the string holds the variable name. Sure, they are wrapped in classes. Also i have a tree of nodes, where each node can hold one of these variablemaps. Using VS 2008 SP1 for this, i detect a lot of memory fragmentation. Checking against the stlport, stlport seemed to be faster (20% ) and uses lesser memory (30%, for my test cases). So the question is: What is the best implementation to solve this requirement with fast an properly used memory ? Should i write an own allocator like a pool allocator. How would you do this ? Thanks in advance, Howie

  • How to use HtmlEncode with TemplateFields, Data Binding, and a GridView

    - by Yadyn
    I have a GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource. I've got it supporting editing as well, which works just fine. However, I'd like to safely HtmlEncode text that is displayed as we do allow special characters in certain fields. This is a cinch to do with standard BoundFields, as I just set HtmlEncode to true. But in order to setup validation controls, one needs to use TemplateFields instead. How do I easily add HtmlEncoding to output this way? This is an ASP.NET 2.0 project, so I'm using the newer data binding shortcuts (e.g. Eval and Bind). What I'd like to do is something like the following: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Description"> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:TextBox ID="TextBoxDescription" runat="server" Text='<%# System.Web.HttpUtility.HtmlEncode(Bind("Description")) %>' ValidationGroup="EditItemGrid" MaxLength="30" /> <asp:Validator ... /> </EditItemTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="LabelDescription" runat="server" Text='<%# System.Web.HttpUtility.HtmlEncode(Eval("Description")) %>' /> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> However, when I try it this way, I get the following error: CS0103: The name 'Bind' does not exist in the current context

  • nHibernate Mapping with Oracle Varchar2 Data Types

    - by Blake Blackwell
    I am new to nHibernate and having some issues getting over the learning curve. My current question involves passing a string value as a parameter to a stored sproc. The error I get is: Input string is not in correct format. My mapping file looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" assembly="MyCompany.MyProject.Core" namespace="MyCompany.MyProject.Core" > <class name="MyCompany.MyProject.Core.MyTable" table="My_Table" lazy="false"> <id name="Id" column="Id"></id> <property name="Name" column="Name" /> </class> <sql-query name="sp_GetTable" callable="true"> <query-param name="int_Id" type="int"/> <query-param name="vch_MyId" type="String"/> <return class="MyCompany.MyProject.Core.MyTable" /> call procedure MYPKG.MYPROC(:int_Id,:vch_MyId) </sql-query> </hibernate-mapping> When I debug nHibernate it looks like it is not an actual string value, but instead just an object value. Not sure about that though... EDIT: Adding additional code for clarification: UNIT Test List<ProcedureParameter> parms = new List<ProcedureParameter>(); parms.Add( new ProcedureParameter { ParamName = "int_Id", ParamValue = 1} ); parms.Add( new ProcedureParameter { ParamName = "vch_MyId", ParamValue = "{D18BED07-84AB-494F-A94F-6F894E284227}" } ); try { IList<MyTable> myTables = _context.GetAllByID<MyTable>( "sp_GetTable", parms ); Assert.AreNotEqual( 0, myTables.Count ); } catch( Exception ex ) { throw ex; } Data Context Method IQuery query = _session.GetNamedQuery( queryName ); foreach( ProcedureParameter parm in parms ) { query.SetParameter(parm.ParamName, "'" + parm.ParamValue + "'"); } return query.List<T>(); Come to think of it, it may have something to do with my DataContext method.
