  • How to properly read 16 byte unsigned integer with BinaryReader

    - by Brent
    I need to parse a binary stream in .NET to convert a 16 byte unsigned integer. I would like to use the BinaryReader.ReadUIntXX() functions but there isn't a BinaryReader.ReadUInt128() function available. I assume I will have to roll my own function using the ReadByte function and build an array but I don't know if this is the most efficient method? Thanks!

  • trying to fade out a top div on hover to reveal working links in text below using JQuery

    - by Heath
    I need to fade a div (and image) to reveal a div underneath (text with clickable links) using jQuery. <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $("img.a").hover( function() { $(this).stop().animate({"opacity": "0"}, "slow"); }, function() { $(this).stop().animate({"opacity": "1"}, "slow"); }); }); </script> Used the above code and all worked well, until I went to click the links. Seems the top hidden div is preventing me from doing so. Tried the replaceWith function and that allowed me to click the links too - but couldn't get it to go back to showing original div when I moused out. Also, bossman wants the transition to be gradual - like a fade... Any suggestions? Many thanks! Heath

  • How can I handle template dependencies in Template Toolkit?

    - by Smack my batch up
    My static web pages are built from a huge bunch of templates which are inter-included using Template Toolkit's "import" and "include", so page.html looks like this: [% INCLUDE top %] [% IMPORT middle %] Then top might have even more files included. I have very many of these files, and they have to be run through to create the web pages in various languages (English, French, etc., not computer languages). This is a very complicated process and when one file is updated I would like to be able to automatically remake only the necessary files, using a makefile or something similar. Are there any tools like makedepend for C files which can parse template toolkit templates and create a dependency list for use in a makefile? Or are there better ways to automate this process?

  • Modify jkpanel to load internal content instead of external content

    - by Adam Stone
    I am using an implementation of jkpanel in a vb.net app, the script (see below) loads an external file into the drop down panel. I need to modify this script to load an internal content like a specific div or span so that I can have this nested within the master page. //Drop Down Panel script (March 29th, 08'): By JavaScript Kit: http://www.javascriptkit.com var jkpanel={ controltext: 'Panel Content', $mainpanel: null, contentdivheight: 0, openclose:function($, speed){ this.$mainpanel.stop() //stop any animation if (this.$mainpanel.attr('openstate')=='closed') this.$mainpanel.animate({top: 0}, speed).attr({openstate: 'open'}) else this.$mainpanel.animate({top: -this.contentdivheight+'px'}, speed).attr({openstate: 'closed'}) }, init:function(file, height, speed){ jQuery(document).ready(function($){ jkpanel.$mainpanel=$('<div id="dropdownpanel"><div class="contentdiv"></div><div class="control">'+jkpanel.controltext+'</div></div>').prependTo('body') var $contentdiv=jkpanel.$mainpanel.find('.contentdiv') var $controldiv=jkpanel.$mainpanel.find('.control').css({cursor: 'wait'}) $contentdiv.load(file, '', function($){ var heightattr=isNaN(parseInt(height))? 'auto' : parseInt(height)+'px' $contentdiv.css({height: heightattr}) jkpanel.contentdivheight=parseInt($contentdiv.get(0).offsetHeight) jkpanel.$mainpanel.css({top:-jkpanel.contentdivheight+'px', visibility:'visible'}).attr('openstate', 'closed') $controldiv.css({cursor:'hand', cursor:'pointer'}) }) jkpanel.$mainpanel.click(function(){jkpanel.openclose($, speed)}) }) } } //Initialize script: jkpanel.init('path_to_content_file', 'height of content DIV in px', animation_duration) jkpanel.init('panelcontent.htm', '200px', 500) Does anybody have any idea on how to modify this to do so or even have any tips or pointers to point me in the right direction to start doing so. Cheers

  • I have a filter for jquery masonry - but I want to filter moomasonry

    - by Jason
    Hi, I'm using jquery masonry for layout. But I am considering moving to mootools. I have found a masonry port to mootools, called moomasonry - http://www.crionics.com/products/opensource/mooMasonry/Demos/basic.html With help here, I have a filter on the masonry divs by class: $('a.filter').click(function(){ filterBoxes(this.id); }) function filterBoxes(klass){ if (klass == "all") { klass = "box" } $('#holder').find('.' + klass) .hide() .appendTo('#main') .fadeIn('200') $('#main').find('.box:not(.' + klass + ')') .fadeOut( '200', function(){ $(this).appendTo('#holder') ; }); setTimeout(function(){ $('#main').masonry() },500); } But, how would I filter divs by class in mootools? and have it reload masonry after each filter. See my site for example: http://jasondaydesign.com/masonry_demo/

  • JQuery Help: toggle() is not working properly

    - by John Smith
    Hi All, I'm trying to use JQuery toggle functionality, but not able to use properly. Instead of smooth slide up and down, it goes very fast and not in an animated manner. I want to achieve sliding effect in my code, like this has (Please see Website Design, Redesign Services slider): Here is my code: HTML: <div> <div class="jquery_inner_mid"> <div class="main_heading"> <a href="#"> <img src="features.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" /></a> </div> <div class="plus_sign"> <img id="imgFeaturesEx" src="images/plus.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" /> <img id="imgFeaturesCol" src="images/minus.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" /></div> <div class="toggle_container"> <div id="divMain" > </div> </div> </div> <div class="jquery_inner_mid"> <div class="main_heading"> <img src="About.jpg" alt="" title="" /></div> <div class="plus_sign"> <img id="imgTechnoEx" src="images/plus.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" /> <img id="imgTechnoCol" src="images/minus.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" /></div> <div class="toggle_container"> <div id="divTechnossus" > </div> </div> </div> </div> JQuery: $(function() { document.getElementById('imgFeaturesCol').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('imgTechnoCol').style.display = 'none'; $('#imgFeaturesEx').click(function() { $.getJSON("/Visitor/GetFeatureInfo", null, function(strInfo) { document.getElementById('divMain').innerHTML = strInfo; }); $("#divMain").toggle("slow"); document.getElementById('imgFeaturesEx').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('imgFeaturesCol').style.display = 'block'; }); $('#imgFeaturesCol').click(function() { document.getElementById('divMain').innerHTML = ""; $("#divMain").toggle("slow"); document.getElementById('imgFeaturesCol').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('imgFeaturesEx').style.display = 'block'; }); $('#imgTechnoEx').click(function() { $.getJSON("/Visitor/GetTechnossusInfo", null, function(strInfo) { document.getElementById('divTechnossus').innerHTML = strInfo; }); $("#divTechnossus").slideToggle("slow"); document.getElementById('imgTechnoEx').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('imgTechnoCol').style.display = 'block'; }); $('#imgTechnoCol').click(function() { document.getElementById('divTechnossus').innerHTML = ""; $("#divTechnossus").slideToggle("slow"); document.getElementById('imgTechnoCol').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('imgTechnoEx').style.display = 'block'; }); });

  • Implementing password hashing/salting algorithm from crackstation.net

    - by Mason240
    I am trying to implement a password hashing/salting algorithm from crackstation.net, but I am unsure how implement it. Storing the password upon user registration seems to be as simple as passing the password into create_hash(). $password = create_hash($_POST['Password']; I'm not following how to validate upon user login. validate_password($password, $good_hash) returns either true or false, and takes $password as parameter, so it seems like a no brainer except for the second parameter $good_hash. Where does this param come from? It is my understanding that password is turned into a hash value every time its used, and that the hash value is what is stored and compared. So why would I have both the $password and $good_hash values? Quick overview of the functions: function create_hash($password){ calls pbkdf2() } function validate_password($password, $good_hash){ calls pbkdf2() calls slow_equals() } function slow_equals($a, $b){ } function pbkdf2($algorithm, $password, $salt, $count, $key_length, $raw_output = false){ } Of course a different, better method for this would also be just as helpful. Thank you

  • Defaults for null values

    - by OldFart
    Working on a Powershell script I had several places where I wanted A unless it was null, else B. Essentially the ?? operator in C#. I ended up writing the function shown below, but I can't help but think there is a built-in way to do this. Is there a better, built-in, way? function Get-ValueOrDefault() { foreach ($value in $args) { if ($value -ne $null) { return $value } } } I think this works better: function Get-ValueOrDefault() { $args | select -first 1 }

  • JavaScript on jQuery created code never gets called

    - by mare
    This is my view in ASP.NET MVC. <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Administration.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="HeadContent" runat="server"> <script type="text/javascript"> var ddlContentTypes; $(document).ready(function () { ddlContentTypes = $("#ContentTypes"); ddlContentTypes.bind("change", loadCreate); loadCreate(); }); function loadCreate() { var typeId = $("#ContentTypes option:selected").val(); $.get('~/' + typeId + '/Create', function (data) { $("#CreateForm").html(data); }); $("fieldset input").each(function (index, item) { $(item).attr("disabled", true); }); } </script> </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content3" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2> <%=Resources.Localize.CreateWidget %></h2> <p> <% Html.RenderPartial("ContentTypeSelector"); %></p> <div id="CreateForm"> </div> </asp:Content> As you can see, it loads some HTML (actually user control) and adds it to the CreateForm div. This actually works fine. The problem is this $("fieldset input").each(function (index, item) { $(item).attr("disabled", true); }); never runs. The fieldset tag is in the response, so you don't see it here but it's there - everything is returned back fine (I checked with Firebug). Why do the above two lines of JS never run or have any effect?

  • Trying to get a json result back from method in another namespace, having issues

    I have a seperate .js file and namespace for json requests. I have another .js file and namespace for the actual logic. I can't seem to get the result back in my logic layer. var jsonResult = Blah.Data.LoadAggregates(); alert(jsonResult); alert(jsonResult.d.length); alert(jsonResult.length); all of the above calls are returning undefined. Blah.RegisterNamespace("Blah.Data"); (function(Data) { Data.LoadAggregates = function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "asdf.asmx/GetAggregates", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(data) { ??????? }, error: function(msg) { alert("error" + msg); } }); }; })(Blah.Data);

  • YASR - Yet another search and replace question

    - by petronius31
    Environment: asp.net c# openxml Ok, so I've been reading a ton of snippets and trying to recreate the wheel, but I'm hoping that somone can help me get to my desination faster. I have multiple documents that I need to merge together... check... I'm able to do that with openxml sdk. Birds are singing, sun is shining so far. Now that I have the document the way I want it, I need to search and replace text and/or content controls. I've tried using my own text - {replace this} but when I look at the xml (rename docx to zip and view the file), the { is nowhere near the text. So I either need to know how to protect that within the doucment so they don't diverge or I need to find another way to search and replace. I'm able to search/replace if it is an xml file, but then I'm back to not being able to combine the doucments easily. Code below... and as I mentioned... document merge works fine... just need to replace stuff. protected void exeProcessTheDoc(object sender, EventArgs e) { string doc1 = Server.MapPath("~/Templates/doc1.docx"); string doc2 = Server.MapPath("~/Templates/doc2.docx"); string final_doc = Server.MapPath("~/Templates/extFinal.docx"); File.Delete(final_doc); File.Copy(doc1, final_doc); using (WordprocessingDocument myDoc = WordprocessingDocument.Open(final_doc, true)) { string altChunkId = "AltChunkId2"; MainDocumentPart mainPart = myDoc.MainDocumentPart; AlternativeFormatImportPart chunk = mainPart.AddAlternativeFormatImportPart( AlternativeFormatImportPartType.WordprocessingML, altChunkId); using (FileStream fileStream = File.Open(doc2, FileMode.Open)) chunk.FeedData(fileStream); AltChunk altChunk = new AltChunk(); altChunk.Id = altChunkId; mainPart.Document.Body.InsertAfter(altChunk, mainPart.Document.Body.Elements<Paragraph>().Last()); mainPart.Document.Save(); } exeSearchReplace(final_doc); } protected void exeSearchReplace(string document) { using (WordprocessingDocument wordDoc = WordprocessingDocument.Open(document, true)) { string docText = null; using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(wordDoc.MainDocumentPart. GetStream())) { docText = sr.ReadToEnd(); } Regex regexText = new Regex("acvtClientName"); docText = regexText.Replace(docText, "Hi Everyone!"); using (StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(wordDoc.MainDocumentPart.GetStream(FileMode.Create))) { sw.Write(docText); } } } } }

  • Ajax, Callback, postback and Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_beginRequest

    - by user338262
    Hi, I have a user control which encapsulates a NumericUpDownExtender. This UserControl implements the interface ICallbackEventHandler, because I want that when a user changes the value of the textbox associated a custom event to be raised in the server. By the other hand each time an async postback is done I shoe a message of loading and disable the whole screen. This works perfect when something is changed in for example an UpdatePanel through this lines of code: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_beginRequest( function (sender, args) { var modalPopupBehavior = $find('programmaticSavingLoadingModalPopupBehavior'); modalPopupBehavior.show(); } ); The UserControl is placed inside a detailsview which is inside an UpdatePanel in an aspx. When the custom event is raised I want another textbox in the aspx to change its value. So far, When I click on the UpDownExtender, it goes correctly to the server and raises the custom event, and the new value of the textbox is assigned in the server. but it is not changed in the browser. I suspect that the problem is the callback, since I have the same architecture for a UserControl with an AutoCompleteExtender which implement IPostbackEventHandler and it works. Any clues how can I solve this here to make the UpDownNumericExtender user control to work like the AutComplete one? This is the code of the user control and the parent: using System; using System.Web.UI; using System.ComponentModel; using System.Text; namespace Corp.UserControls { [Themeable(true)] public partial class CustomNumericUpDown : CorpNumericUpDown, ICallbackEventHandler { protected void Page_PreRender(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!Page.IsPostBack) { currentInstanceNumber = CorpAjaxControlToolkitUserControl.getNextInstanceNumber(); } registerControl(this.HFNumericUpDown.ClientID, currentInstanceNumber); string strCallServer = "NumericUpDownCallServer" + currentInstanceNumber.ToString(); // If this function is not written the callback to get the disponibilidadCliente doesn't work if (!Page.ClientScript.IsClientScriptBlockRegistered("ReceiveServerDataNumericUpDown")) { StringBuilder str = new StringBuilder(); str.Append("function ReceiveServerDataNumericUpDown(arg, context) {}").AppendLine(); Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(typeof(CorpNumericUpDown), "ReceiveServerDataNumericUpDown", str.ToString(), true); } nudeNumericUpDownExtender.BehaviorID = "NumericUpDownEx" + currentInstanceNumber.ToString(); ClientScriptManager cm = Page.ClientScript; String cbReference = cm.GetCallbackEventReference(this, "arg", "ReceiveServerDataNumericUpDown", ""); String callbackScript = "function " + strCallServer + "(arg, context)" + Environment.NewLine + "{" + Environment.NewLine + cbReference + ";" + Environment.NewLine + "}" + Environment.NewLine; cm.RegisterClientScriptBlock(typeof(CustomNumericUpDown), strCallServer, callbackScript, true); base.Page_PreRender(sender,e); } [System.ComponentModel.Browsable(true)] [System.ComponentModel.Bindable(true)] public Int64 Value { get { return (string.IsNullOrEmpty(HFNumericUpDown.Value) ? Int64.Parse("1") : Int64.Parse(HFNumericUpDown.Value)); } set { HFNumericUpDown.Value = value.ToString(); //txtAutoCompleteCliente_AutoCompleteExtender.ContextKey = value.ToString(); // TODO: Change the text of the textbox } } [System.ComponentModel.Browsable(true)] [System.ComponentModel.Bindable(true)] [Description("The text of the numeric up down")] public string Text { get { return txtNumericUpDown.Text; } set { txtNumericUpDown.Text = value; } } public delegate void NumericUpDownChangedHandler(object sender, NumericUpDownChangedArgs e); public event NumericUpDownChangedHandler numericUpDownEvent; [System.ComponentModel.Browsable(true)] [System.ComponentModel.Bindable(true)] [System.ComponentModel.Description("Raised after the number has been increased or decreased")] protected virtual void OnNumericUpDownEvent(object sender, NumericUpDownChangedArgs e) { if (numericUpDownEvent != null) //check to see if anyone has attached to the event numericUpDownEvent(this, e); } #region ICallbackEventHandler Members public string GetCallbackResult() { return "";//throw new NotImplementedException(); } public void RaiseCallbackEvent(string eventArgument) { NumericUpDownChangedArgs nudca = new NumericUpDownChangedArgs(long.Parse(eventArgument)); OnNumericUpDownEvent(this, nudca); } #endregion } /// <summary> /// Class that adds the prestamoList to the event /// </summary> public class NumericUpDownChangedArgs : System.EventArgs { /// <summary> /// The current selected value. /// </summary> public long Value { get; private set; } public NumericUpDownChangedArgs(long value) { Value = value; } } } using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Text; namespace Corp { /// <summary> /// Summary description for CorpAjaxControlToolkitUserControl /// </summary> public class CorpNumericUpDown : CorpAjaxControlToolkitUserControl { private Int16 _currentInstanceNumber; // This variable hold the instanceNumber assignated at first place. public short currentInstanceNumber { get { return _currentInstanceNumber; } set { _currentInstanceNumber = value; } } protected void Page_PreRender(object sender, EventArgs e) { const string strOnChange = "OnChange"; const string strCallServer = "NumericUpDownCallServer"; StringBuilder str = new StringBuilder(); foreach (KeyValuePair<String, Int16> control in controlsToRegister) { str.Append("function ").Append(strOnChange + control.Value).Append("(sender, eventArgs) ").AppendLine(); str.Append("{").AppendLine(); str.Append(" if (sender) {").AppendLine(); str.Append(" var hfield = document.getElementById('").Append(control.Key).Append("');").AppendLine(); str.Append(" if (hfield.value != eventArgs) {").AppendLine(); str.Append(" hfield.value = eventArgs;").AppendLine(); str.Append(" ").Append(strCallServer + control.Value).Append("(eventArgs, eventArgs);").AppendLine(); str.Append(" }").AppendLine(); str.Append(" }").AppendLine(); str.Append("}").AppendLine(); Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(typeof(CorpNumericUpDown), Guid.NewGuid().ToString(), str.ToString(), true); } str = new StringBuilder(); foreach (KeyValuePair<String, Int16> control in controlsToRegister) { str.Append(" funcsPageLoad[funcsPageLoad.length] = function() { $find('NumericUpDownEx" + control.Value + "').add_currentChanged(").Append(strOnChange + control.Value).Append(");};").AppendLine(); str.Append(" funcsPageUnLoad[funcsPageUnLoad.length] = function() { $find('NumericUpDownEx" + control.Value + "').remove_currentChanged(").Append(strOnChange + control.Value).Append(");};").AppendLine(); } Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock(typeof(CorpNumericUpDown), Guid.NewGuid().ToString(), str.ToString(), true); } } } and to create the loading view I use this: //The beginRequest event is raised before the processing of an asynchronous postback starts and the postback is sent to the server. You can use this event to call custom script to set a request header or to start an animation that notifies the user that the postback is being processed. Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_beginRequest( function (sender, args) { var modalPopupBehavior = $find('programmaticSavingLoadingModalPopupBehavior'); modalPopupBehavior.show(); } ); //The endRequest event is raised after an asynchronous postback is finished and control has been returned to the browser. You can use this event to provide a notification to users or to log errors. Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest( function (sender, arg) { var modalPopupBehavior = $find('programmaticSavingLoadingModalPopupBehavior'); modalPopupBehavior.hide(); } ); Thanks in advance! • Is there a better way to create an object-oriented class with jquery?

For example: MyWidget = function(name_var) { this.init(name_var); } $.extend(MyWidget.prototype, { // object variables widget_name: '', init: function(widget_name) { // do initialization here this.widget_name = widget_name; }, doSomething: function() { // an example object method alert('my name is '+this.widget_name); } }); // example of using the class built above var widget1 = new MyWidget('widget one'); widget1.doSomething(); Is there a better way to do this? Is there a cleaner way to create the class above with only one statement instead of two?

  • How do programming languages bind identifiers to functions

    - by sub
    I'm talking about C and/or C++ here as this are the only languages I know used for interpreters where the following could be a problem: If we have an interpreted language X how can a library written for it add functions to the language which can then be called from within programs written in the language? PHP example: substr( $str, 5, 10 ); How is the function substr added to the "function pool" of PHP so it can be called from within scripts? It is easy for PHP storing all registered function names in an array and searching through it as a function is called in a script. However, as there obviously is no eval in C(++), how can the function then be called? I assume PHP doesn't have 100MB of code like: if( identifier == "substr" ) { return PHP_SUBSTR(...); } else if( ... ) { ... } Ha ha, that would be pretty funny. I hope you have understood my question so far. How do interpreters solve this problem? How can I solve this for my own experimental toy interpreter?

  • Create list in existing site collection from a feature

    - by keysersoze
    I have created a feature, a publishing site, in Visual Studio to MOSS - this feature contains a masterpage, some page-templates, some site columns (grouped to match each page-template) and som custom list templates etc. I have also created a site collection, some sites and pages based on my feature. Now I have upgraded the code in my feature - I wanted a ListInstance to be created based on my custom list template. When I have upgraded my SharePoint (using WSPBuilder), the ListInstance and default data are visible if I create a new site collection, but existing site collection does not get the ListInstance and data. Is there anything I can do to update existing site collections to contain the ListInstance when upgrading?

  • Strategies for Error Handling in .NET Web Services

    - by Jarrod
    I have a fairly substantial library of web services built in .NET that I use as a data model for our company web sites. In most .NET applications I use the Global ASAX file for profiling, logging, and creating bug reports for all exceptions thrown by the application. Global ASAX isn't available for web services so I'm curious as to what other strategies people have come up with to work around this limitation.
