  Let's say I have a data mapper function that aggregates multiple tables and generates an object instance from that data. The mapper has a typical save() method which delegates to update/insert. When the mapper executes save - ideally it isolates object fields that have been modified, thus preventing the code from blanket bombing the database. How would you go about this?

  I want to provide for partial matching, so I am tacking on * to the end of search queries. What I've noticed is that a search query of gatorade will return 12 results whereas gatorade* returns 7. So * seems to be 1 or many as opposed to 0 or many ... how can I achieve this? Am I going about partial matching in Solr all wrong? Thanks.

If I do it like so: my_model.objects.filter(...).count() I'm guessing it does the SQL query that retrieves all the rows and only afterwards does the count. To my knowledge it's much more efficient to do the count without retrieving those rows like so "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ...". Is there a way to do so in django?

  I have configure my sendmail for multiple domains by creating username like [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] in passwd file Now I added entry in file /etc/mail/virtusetable like [email protected] sales\@domain1.com [email protected] sales\@domain2.com [email protected] sales\@domain3.com So when configuring the email client you provide your username as [email protected],[email protected] etc. I tested with webmail and outlook it works. • How to have multiple parts of a website in one page

  I want to make a website that will have multiple pages, but because of a unique navigation bar, I cannot simply link to a new file for each page. What is the best way to accomplish this. Some possibilities that I can think of are having all of them on one page, but using css and javascript to move the other pages offscreen, or using iframes and loading them with javascript. Could someone please direct me to some examples or tutorials?
