Sorry for this silly question, but is there any way to restrict using directives to the current file so that they don't propagate to the files that #include this file?
How - if possible - can I use NLog as a rollover file logger? as if:
I want to have at most 31 files for 31 days and when a new day started, if there is an old day log file ##.log, then it should be deleted but during that day all logs are appended and will be there at least for 27 days.
I try to write line by line data but. if i run my application. writng last text1 data in script.txt

I'm looking for an image hosting website that'll allow me to upload images onto their servers from my own website using an API. I like Imgur.com's API but I'm looking for alternatives.
For some reason, XCode has decided to start copying a huge Prefix.pch.gch file into my application's resources folder when building. This file is not in the Copy Bundle Resources build phase, nor can I find any other project setting that should tell XCode to do this. Has anyone seen this before and know what's going on?
I just read a page of "Whats new .NET Framework 4.0". I have trouble understanding the last paragraph:
To remove open handles on enumerated directories or files
Create a custom method (or function in Visual Basic) to contain
your enumeration code.
Apply the MethodImplAttribute attribute with the NoInlining option
to the new method. For example:
[MethodImplAttribute(MethodImplOptions.NoInlining)]
Private void Enumerate()
Include the following method calls, to run after your enumeration
code:
* The GC.Collect() method (no parameters).
* The GC.WaitForPendingFinalizers() method.
Why the attribute NoInlining? What harm would inlining do here?
Why call the garbage collector manually, why not making the enumerator implement IDisposable in the first place? I suspect they use FindFirstFile()/FindNextFile() API calls for the imlementation, so FindClose() has to be called in any case if the enumeration is done.

Hi,
I have an application that write huge .csv files about the size ranging from 1 GB to 2 GB.
I need to color code the file and save it as .xlsx.
So I have tried using Excel Interop and it works great for small files, but when I try to open a 1.3 GB .csv file with Excel, I get an Hresult error.
Any ideas as to how I could accomplish this task either with using Excel, or if there is any other way of doing it.
Thanks!
Could you help me for finding the file name from the string. Now i have one string of content like "C:\xxxx\xxxx\xxxx\abc.pdf". But i want only the file name ie. abc.pdf. How it will get by using string functions?
Hi
I have a lot of jpeg files with varying image size. For instance, here is the first 640 bytes as given by hexdump of an image of size 256*384(pixels):
0000000: ffd8 ffe0 0010 4a46 4946 0001 0101 0048 ......JFIF.....H
0000010: 0048 0000 ffdb 0043 0003 0202 0302 0203 .H.....C........
0000020: 0303 0304 0303 0405 0805 0504 0405 0a07 ................
0000030: 0706 080c 0a0c 0c0b 0a0b 0b0d 0e12 100d ................
I guess the size information mus be within these lines. But am unable to see which bytes give the sizes correctly. Can anyone help me find the fields that contains the size information?
Update: So, this turns out to have nothing to do with Tortoise SVN. I use Mozy.com for off-site backups and their new version includes these icon overlays. They can be disabled via the config options...or see here http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?p=1385433. Thanks @OS for the answer.
Been using Tortoise SVN for some time on my Vista box. Within the last few days (and after recently upgrading to 1.5.4) the icon overlays are displaying on all files.
My exclude path is:
*
My include paths are:
C:\Users\jw\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\SVNProjects*
C:\Users\jw\Documents\VB Projects\SVNProjects*
I haven't touched those settings in months. Any ideas? Help. Thanks.
Hey All,
So I am embedding a PDF file on my page:
<embed src="http://www.mywebsite.com/files/ebook.pdf" width="500" height="375">
Is there anyway to prevent any and all access to that file except for when it is being accessed via this embed?
Thanks!
When you use
git rm --cached myfile
it doesn't delete from the local filesystem, which is my goal. But once you commit the changes, push them to a central repository, then pull them into another yet another repository it still deletes the file from that system.
Is there a way to just remove the file from the index without deleting it from any filesystem?
Silverlight version of Windsor container does not provide XmlInterpreter() for reading bindings from config file. Could someone suggest how can I implement my own interpreter?
The online document suggest reading a configuration file, creating an instance of IConfiguration and registering them into IConfigurationStore.
How and where can I do this?
Hi,
I have a Ruby program that zips a directory tree of XML files using the rubyzip gem. My problem is that the file is starting to be heavy and I would like to increase the compression level, since compression time is not an issue.
I could not find in the rubyzip documentation a way to specify the compression level for the created ZIP file.
Anyone know how to change this setting?
MSSQL 2008
Maybe i'm just looking in the wrong place.
Here's the scenario:
We have files stored in a varbinary(max) column.
I'd like to select these as individual files, along with the names of the files stored nearby, as individual file attachments.
can this be done?
it's easy enough to send the results of a query as an attachment, but it just sends 1 file.
Thanks
Can anyone tell me the .hgignore pattern to track one specific file in a directory and to ignore everything else?
I have a "media" directory which contains a "default.png", for obvious purposes, and the rest of the directory will hold user media. We want hg to ignore everything in the media directory excepting the default file.
Is it possible to know if anyone is accessing any of folders or drives in my system(32 bit windows 2003)? I mean shared folders or non-shared folders, anything. And once if we know, how to deny access to particular host. For shared folders i know how to do, but if anyone is accessing some folder with proper credentials, i don't know how to control.
I have a project folder with sources, headers, resources, etc. Most files are subject to source control via SVN, but some are not. Is there a way to designate a file as not subject to source control, ever, so that "svn status" does not throw a line with a question mark next to that file?
