  • ASP.net MVC 2 SPARK - Create "Add New Item" link in spark page.

    I have a web form in SPARK which allow the editing of a Facility class that contains Rooms. When editing the Facility all the Rooms are listed for editing too. The form works fine for editing, but I would like to include a button "Add Room" that adds a new blank room below the existing ones. Any idea how this is accomplished? Currently I am doing this in my SPARK page: [All the Facility editing stuff...] <p>Room</p> <div class="small">Enter the rooms associated with this facility.</div> <div class="add"> <div id="room"> <AddFacilityRoom each="var roomModel in Model.FacilityRooms" RoomModel="roomModel" Index="roomModelIndex" /> </div> <a id="addRoom" class="add" href="events/room/add.mvc">Add a room</a> </div> AddFacilityRoom contains the html elements for editing a room. I would like add.mvc to create a new empty Room class and inject a new identical (but empty) control below the existing ones.   • UIActivityIndicatorView in a class without a view

    Hi I have defined a class that does a lengthy task and I call it from several other classes. Now I want to show an Activity Indicator while this task is doing it's thing, and then remove it once it's done. Since this is just a boring background task, this class doesn't have a view, and I guess that is where I run into my problem. I can't get this thing to show.     Hi, I am using asp.net MVC 2 to develop a site. IUser is used to be the interface between model and view for better separation of concern. However, things turn to a little messy here. In the controller that handles user sign on: I have the following: IUserBll userBll = new UserBll(); IUser newUser = new User(); newUser.Username = answers[0].ToString(); newUser.Email = answers[1].ToString(); userBll.AddUser(newUser); The User class is defined in web project as a concrete class implementing IUser. There is a similar class in DAL implementing the same interface and used to persist data. However, when the userBll.AddUser is called, the newUser of type User can't be casted to the DAL User class even though both Users class implementing the interface (InvalidCastException). Using conversion operators maybe an option, but it will make the dependency between DAL and web which is against the initial goal of using interface. Any suggestions?

    I'm trying to use Android Maps, following the instructions in Hello MapView. I've added <uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps" /> in the Manifest, and I'm building against the 'Google APIs' target, which claims to be API version 7.     I've been using the common Android Button with both icon (drawableTop) and text. But when I set an OnClickListener on my button in its parent layout it never gets called. I can only receive clicks if a set the listener to the ImageView and/or TextView. This leads to two possible effects when the button is clicked: The click is inside the ImageView or the TextView. The click is registered ok, but the buttons state drawable doesn't change i.e. it doesn't appear depressed. The click is inside the "empty area" of the button. The click is not registered, but the state drawable works ok. Neither of these is feasible. I've played around with the following attributes on the LinearLayout or its children, but none really seem to have any effect whether true or false: duplicateParentState clickable focusable There doesn't seem to be any reasonable way to get the LinearLayout parent receive clicks instead of its children. I've seen some possible solutions overriding dispatchTouchEvent or onInterceptTouchEvent on the custom component itself, but that really seems like a big mess if I have to start analyzing touch events to identify proper clicks. So OnClickListener on a LinearLayout with children = no go?

MyFilter implements Zend_Filter_Interface. Can I somehow inject an instance of a filter to an instance of Zend_View?

    i have an application, and in my urls.py i have something like that: urlpatterns = patterns('', url(r'^profile_view/(?P<id>\d+)/$', profile_view, name='profile_view'),) meaning that the profile_view function has id as a parameter. Now, i want to call that function from my template, using a link like Reply The problem is that i don't know how to use the above url as a link, meaning how can i 'pass the id parameter to a link'? thank you

    In this example, the Google App Engine documentation makes the Customer the entity group parent of the AccountInfo entity. Wouldn't AccountInfo encapsulate Customer rather than the other way around?   • OnTouch event consumes click event and prevents execution in parent

    I'm having a FrameLayout that has an extended ImageView (github) as a child. When I set an onClick()-Event to the FrameLayout it won't be triggered. The reason appears to be the onTouch() method's return value. If I set the ACTION_DOWN's return value to false the event is passed along properly - but then the Multitouch functionalities break. Also running performClick() in the ACTION_UP event comes to nothing. How to handle those events correctly?

  • GSM Cell Towers Location & Triangulation Algorithm (Similar to OpenCellID / Skyhook / Google's MyLocation)

    Hi all, assuming I have a Fingerprint DB of Cell towers. The data (including Long. & Lat. CellID, signal strength, etc) is achieved by 'wardriving', similar to OpenCellID.org. I would like to be able to get the location of the client mobile phone without GPS (similar to OpenCellID / Skyhook Wireless/ Google's 'MyLocation'), which sends me info on the Cell towers it "sees" at the moment: the Cell tower connected to, and another 6 neighboring cell towers (assuming GSM). I have read and Googled it for a long time and came across several effective theories, such as using SQL 2008 Spatial capabilities, or using an euclidean algorithm, or Markov Model. However, I am lacking a practical solution, preferably in C# or using SQL 2008 :) The location calculation will be done on the server and not on the client mobile phone. the phone's single job is to send via HTTP/GPRS, the tower it's connected to and other neighboring cell towers. Any input is appreciated, I have read so much and so far haven't really advanced much. Thanx

  • Django: How can I identify the calling view from a template?

    Short version: Is there a simple, built-in way to identify the calling view in a Django template, without passing extra context variables? Long (original) version: One of my Django apps has several different views, each with its own named URL pattern, that all render the same template. There's a very small amount of template code that needs to change depending on the called view, too small to be worth the overhead of setting up separate templates for each view, so ideally I need to find a way to identify the calling view in the template. I've tried setting up the views to pass in extra context variables (e.g. "view_name") to identify the calling view, and I've also tried using {% ifequal request.path "/some/path/" %} comparisons, but neither of these solutions seems particularly elegant. Is there a better way to identify the calling view from the template? Is there a way to access to the view's name, or the name of the URL pattern? Update 1: Regarding the comment that this is simply a case of me misunderstanding MVC, I understand MVC, but Django's not really an MVC framework. I believe the way my app is set up is consistent with Django's take on MVC: the views describe which data is presented, and the templates describe how the data is presented. It just happens that I have a number of views that prepare different data, but that all use the same template because the data is presented the same way for all the views. I'm just looking for a simple way to identify the calling view from the template, if this exists. Update 2: Thanks for all the answers. I think the question is being overthought -- as mentioned in my original question, I've already considered and tried all of the suggested solutions -- so I've distilled it down to a "short version" now at the top of the question.   • Use date operations on a computed field filter in a view

    I'd like to expose a filter in Views based on a Computed Field. This field should utilize the date operation "less than". Apparently, a date type is not available to computed field (varchar is). However, using varchar results in views treating the field as a string rather than as a date, without the operation I'm looking for. So I tried using a timestamp instead of a date, which allowed me to use an integer data type. The exposed view gives me a "less than" operation, but as it's still not a date, the user must type in a timestamp. Not handy. So I'm thinking the best way to do this is to create a new (hidden) CCK field which is a date field, and set the value of this field to the value of the Computed Field. I can then use the new CCK field for my exposed filter. But I'm not getting anywhere with this, as I'm unsure how to set another CCK field with a Computed Field. To return the value to the computed field itself, I'm using the standard: $node_field[0]['value'] = $newestdate; I would like to set the value of the new CCK field to $newestdate as well. Can anyone help?

    Hi All, I need help on making the touched areas of bitmap image transparent(seems like erasing) while I am moving my finger on that image. I am having a PNG file with Alpha channel in it. I want to turn the touched pixels to transparent so that, the user can feel that he is actually erasing it. For this I am using frame layout to load 2 layers. Down layer is for content and upper layer is an Imageview for erasing. I need erase the upper layer when user touch and move his finger on it. I am not getting how to make it transparent. can anyone please help me in this. If possible please direct me to any sample code, as I am very new to this image processing. Thanks in advance.

At the moment, we have a student doing it but it's a rubbish job and it doesn't seem fair on them! Are there any tools available to automate this process? I have tried rankchecker by seobook.com, but although that should be exactly what im looking for when i set scheduled tasks in that, it doesnt work. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks! peter EDIT: Liam has suggested a Python script to do this, which unfortunately isnt something I'm very familiar with! If anyone knows of a good tutorial or something to help us with this, that would be brilliant. Update: Found a php script at seoscript.net which looks like a step in the right direction.     Hello Everyone! Lets say I have one ComboBox and 2 TextBox items on my GUI. And I have one DataView with data (City, PostalCode, Street, ID). While initializing the whole thing I fill my DataView with some data :) City 1, 11111, Street 1, 1 City 1, 22222, Street 2, 2 City 1, 33333, Street 3, 3 Now I want to bind this to my ComboBox. DataView is a Class Member called "m_dvAdresses", but this code doesnt help: ItemsSource="{Binding Source=m_dvAdresses}" SelectedValuePath="ID" DisplayMemberPath="Street" Also I want to have my 2 ComboBox items to show PostalCode and City, depending on what to i pick in my ComboBox. Like if I pick "Street 2", TextBox1 show me "City 1" and TexBox2 show me "22222"... How can I bind all of them ONLY in the WPF code? Thanks for help!!!!!!!!!!! :)

    I want to ask multiple choice questions in Rebol. Possible answers will be on buttons. I want to turn a button red when it is clicked and it is the wrong answer. When the correct button is pressed, I want to proceed to the next question. I can change the color of a box (mybox/color: red show mybox). I can set up a toggle with two colors (but I can't change it based on the result of an arbitrary test (is the answer correct?). It seems like there is probably a simple way to change the color of a button, without having to create my own button-like face objects. Isn't there?

  • navigate all items in a wpf tree view

    I want to be able to traverse the visual ui tree looking for an element with an ID bound to the visual element's Tag property. I'm wondering how i do this. Controls don't have children to traverse. I started using LogicalTreeHelper.GetChildren, which seems to work as intended, up until i hit a TreeView control... then LogicalTreeHelper.GetChildren doesnt return any children. Note: the purpose is to find the visual UI element that corresponds to the data item. That is, given an ID of the item, Go find the UI element displaying it. Edit: I am apparently am not explaining this well enough. I am binding some data objects to a TreeView control and then wanting to select a specific item programaticly given that business object's ID. I dont see why it's so hard to travers the visual tree and find the element i want, as the data object's ID is in the Tag property of the appropriate visual element. I'm using Mole and I am able to find the UI element with the appropriate ID in it's Tag. I just cannot find the visual element in code. LogicalTreeHelper does not traverse any items in the tree. Neither does ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem retrieve anything for items in the tree view.
