  • Perl program doesn't get displayed in browser (windows)

    system info: i have installed XAMPP on my machine having Window XP OS . also installed Apache2.2, now, i have created two folders in C:\xampp\htdocs they are php and perl . these folder contains programs in their respective languages (ie index.php and index.pl respectively) when i type in browser : http: //localhost:88/php/ the program in index.php gets executed and o/p is displayed in browser but , when i type: http://localhost:88/perl/ browser displays a blank page PROBLEM : how to run .pl file in above scenario ?

  • Appengine not liking my .jspx files

    I have a little app that runs fine on local dev appengine, but appengine itself is not processing my .jspx files. The jspx files are in WEB-INF so they should not be excluded by appengine (as a static resource) I am using Apache Tiles to define my views.   • Chained address rewrite in Wordpress

    What I need to do is rewriting this address: (1) http://localhost/wordpress/fake/text-value to (2) http://localhost/wordpress/gallery?somevar=text-value Notes: the remapping must be transparent: the user always has to see address (1) gallery is a permalink to a wordpress page, not a real address I basically need to rewrite the address first (to modify it) and then feed it back to mod rewrite again (to let wordpress parse it its own way). Problems if I simply do RewriteRule ^fake$ http://localhost/wordpress/gallery [L] it works but the address in the browser changes, which is no good, if I do RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [L] I get a 404. I tried different flags instead of [L] but to no avail. How can I get this to work?

The pages are indexed by google and have the following structure http://mypage.com/myfolder/page.apsx The new structure is http://mypage.com/page.aspx Now all urls that google knows are wrong. How can I tell google to reindex and that the structure has changed? Internally I redirect in ASP.NET when the url contains the myfolder by I want google to update the urls.

  • Android - When to use Service

    This question is related to my previous question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2786720/android-service-ping-url So I have an Android app that on the click of a button, opens up a web page. Now, in the background I want to call another http url for gathering stats. My question is does this have to be a service? I know a service is for background tasks that run for an indefinite period of time, while the user is busy doing something else. In my case, all I really need is to get the URL in the background, not show it to the user, instead show the web page to the user. Can I just not write code to get contents of the http url and fire up the activity that displays the web page? Coz all I want is to get the url in the background and be done with it. Or does this have to be done using the Service class? I am confused. Thanks Chris

  • Apache rewrite to add a directory to REQUEST_URI not working on localhost running wamp.

    I'm running wamp on Vista (Apache v2.2.11) and have projects setup such that http://localhost/projectx is the base directory for projectx. Now, I want that requests for http://localhost/projectx/somepage/extra will rewrite to http://localhost/projectx/PUBLIC/somepage/extra To that end I have a file in C:\wamp\www\projectx\.htacces that is this simple: RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /projectx RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/PUBLIC RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /PUBLIC$1 [L] I can't for the life of me figure out why this doesn't work. The error I'm getting is "The requested URL /PUBLIC was not found on this server". Thanks.

    Im looking for a (free) solution to a bookingcalender. Among many candidates Ive found the Jquery Full Calender which has many cool features. One of the reason that I like this one is because it has "drag and drop" and resize, which I also need. But I also need to have the dayview where I the columms monday, tuesday, wedensday, thursday friday .... gets replaced with fx. Room1, Room2, Room3, Room4, Room5, Room6, Room7. I test this line in php exec("wget http://domain.com/send_me_email.php"); and it send me an email, it means that I have permission to run exec and wget via php.but what is problem? A typical user's profile url would be http://www.mymark.com/mike Each user is also created a blog in a multi-user wordpress installation. The wordpress url would look like this: http://www.mymark.com/blog/mike I am trying to use the rewrite module to create more canonical urls for the user (http://www.mymark.com/mike/blog), and have tried several regex variations that I have created through RegExr(a regex generation tool) and come up with this as the pattern to match (www.|)mymark.com/([^/]+)/blog but haven't had any success so far. What am I doing wrong here? Here is a screen shot of my re-write rule:

    I have a remote service that I need to access, according to the documentation it's restricted using basic authentication and all requests have to be posted (HTTP POST). When I post data to the remote server it replies: 401 Unauthorized Access which is fine because I'm not posting my user/pass just the data. Bu when I add my user/pass as it's describe here: http://dk.php.net/manual/en/http.request.options.php like this: $res = http_post_data('https://example.com', $data, array( 'Content-Type: "text/xml"', 'httpauth' => base64_encode('user:pass'), 'httpauthtype' => HTTP_AUTH_BASIC ) ); the protocol is https - I get a runtime error in return (it's a .Net service). I have tried it without the base64_encode but with the same result.

Can we register namespaces for the validator??? I AM EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO VALID XHTML. I like addthis, I think its the best button of its kind (yes, I need to use the namespace properties, I know you dont have to but I do for what im doing PHP project) :(
