  • Eclipse JFace TreeViewer level auto expansion doesn't work

    According to the Eclipse documentation TreeViewer.setAutoExpandLevel(3) means that top-level elements are expanded, and their children, but not grandchildren. I used that in my code, but after setting the input the tree is not auto-expanded, neither on OS X nor on Linux. Expanding the tree manually (via mouse) works flawlessly. Am I missing anything?

  • What's the point of the javascript navigator.javaEnabled function?

    The navigator object has a javaEnabled function that indicates if the browser has javascript support. This seems to be a little odd: If JS is indeed enabled the function will return true, well obviously. If JS is disabled it will return <nothing since it is never run, javaScript is disabled. I must be missing something here, or is it really that useless this function?

  • Classes. Whats the point?

    I'm fairly new to OOP in PHP, I've made a couple of basic scripts but nothing impressive. All I've really taken from it is that it would probably be easier just make a collection of functions and include them. The structure of classes seems to just confuse what was otherwise a simple process. And in collating everything into a class it doesn't really add any functionality. So I'm clearly missing something. Could someone explain what functionality is added by creating classes

  • Is it possible to turn a string with base64 encoded image data into a displayable image in flash lit

    I have tried using a data URI to load the image data into a movie clip, but flash lite does not appear to support the data URI scheme. I also thought it might be possible to base64 decode the image data and write it out to a file and load the file back into the movie clip using the file URI scheme. However, I do not see a way to write to the filesystem in the documentation. Am I missing something in the flash lite docs that would allow me to write to the filesystem?

    Hi, As you are aware Oracle 11g has new facility of case sensitive password. We want to make use of it. When my C# application connects to oracle databse using ODP.Net 2.111.7.0 I am getting ora-1017 error. When we switch off this case sensitive feature it works without any change to the connection string. Any idea what is missing? is there any escape sequence we can use to specify lowercase characters in password? Thanks

Currently, I have the project configured for ANY CONFIGURATION and ALL CPUS but when I do a build, I still do not have a bin folder or a debug folder containing a DLL. What am I missing here please?     I remember running into this problem when I started using OpenGL in OS X. Eventually I solved it, but I think that was just by using glut and c++ instead of Objective-C... The lines of code I have in init for the ES1Renderer are as follows: glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); glDepthFunc(GL_LEQUAL); Then in the render method, I have this: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); I assume I'm missing something specific to either the iPhone or ES. What other steps are required to enable the depth test? Thanks

Looks like I am missing something here because when I run the script, it is only looking for .zqx files in current directory and not all the drives. Please note that the ( dir $paths..) part is returning the list of .zqx files promptly.     A library function parses a file and returns an object. If a parser encounters unknown data, missing values etc., it shouldn't throw an exception and stop parsing (because this is not fatal), but there should be a way to pass information about these things to a caller (so that warnings can be displayed in the UI, for example). How can these warning be returned? I'm thinking of passing a callback function/object into the library, are there any other possible solutions?

    When using Excel (2003) to provide data for my unit tests it seems to think that when a cell has TRUE / FALSE value that it is null when there has been no preceding cell values e.g. if (TestContext.DataRow["SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied"] != DBNull.Value) model.SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied = (bool)TestContext.DataRow ["SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied"]; Sample Excel Data DataRow SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied 0 1 2 TRUE 3 TRUE When reading the test data using OLEDB the cells with TRUE hold no value but when the preceding cells have the value FALSE entered it correctly gets the values TRUE. Am I missing something?
