    - by Nitz
Hey Guys I am doing project on java. In one of the class, I am working on jtable. Now what i am doing is, In the table data will be loaded from the database. Now i want to change some value at some exact row and column. so for that i am using jtable's setValue function. which is like this.... grayCardTbl.setValueAt(Float.valueOf(String.valueOf(pdiff)),1,4); I have checked the "pdiff" variable, it is perfect. i had total 5 columns and 10 rows. • Limit on FileReference uploads?!

    - by Rudy
Hello, I am currently uploading files in ActionScript 3 using the upload() method of the FileReference class. I built an uploader than can do simultaneous or parallel uploads, having a variable set the number of maximum uploads at a time. I noticed that for Internet Explorer I could be uploading 10 or more files simultaneously, but FireFox and Safari seems to cap the number of uploads to 2. That is, when I call the upload method on per say, 3 files, only 2 will get events back (such as ProgressEvent.PROGRESS). Only when one of the 2 uploads finishes, then the 3rd one will start. This behavior does not happen for Internet Explorer. I have tried with a large number of files, and some big files, to make sure this behavior was consistent. I was wondering if anyone noticed this behavior please, and if so, what is the reason for this behavior please? I appreciate your help, Thank you very much, Rudy

  • How to invoke a delegate with a null parameter?

    - by Rodney Burton
I get a null exception if I try to pass a null parameter to a delegate during an invoke. Here's what the code looks like: public void RequestPhoto() { WCF.Service.BeginGetUserPhoto(Contact.UserID, new AsyncCallback(RequestPhotoCB), null); } public void RequestPhotoCB(IAsyncResult result) { var photo = WCF.Service.EndGetUserPhoto(result); UpdatePhoto(photo); } public delegate void UpdatePhotoDelegate(Binary photo); public void UpdatePhoto(Binary photo) { if (InvokeRequired) { var d = new UpdatePhotoDelegate(UpdatePhoto); Invoke(d, new object[] { photo }); } else { var ms = new MemoryStream(photo.ToArray()); var bmp = new Bitmap(ms); pbPhoto.BackgroundImage = bmp; } } The problem is with the line: Invoke(d, new object[] { photo }); If the variable "photo" is null. What is the correct way to pass a null parameter during an invoke? Thanks!

  • PHP: Filling in the 'gaps' in an array

    - by aboved
Hey gurus, I've got a php array (obtained through checkbox values in a form - as you know checkboxes only show up in the _POST variable when they are not set). Array ( [2] => 0,2 [3] => 0,3 ) I need a way to 'fill in' the gaps between the range 0-5. So above would look like (filling the empty spaces with '-1'. I tried array_merge() with an array filled with '-1' but that didn't work. Array ( [0] => -1 [2] => 0,2 [3] => 0,3 [4] => -1 [5] => -1 ) I think I may have gone down the wrong road with the problem I am trying to solve, but I have put too much time into this solution to back out - a feeling I am sure most of you are familiar with(!) Cheers!

  • What are the characteristics of spaghetti code?

    - by justjoe
Somebody said that when your PHP Code and application use global variable then it must be a spaghetti code (i assume this). I use wordpress a lot. As far as i know, it's the best thing near a great php software. And it use many global variables to interact between its components. but forget about that, cause frankly, that's the only thing i know. so it's completely biased ;D so just curious, What is the characteristic of spaghetti code ? ps : the only thing i know is wordpress. so, Hopefully, maybe this will help somebody give great answer for somebody who have a little experience on developing full web application on PHP (for example, stack-overflow website)

  • jQuery getting text-shadow variabile

    - by Mircea
    Hi, I want to get 4 variables when I click on a span that have the CSS3 text-shadow propriety. So for a css propriety of text-shadow: -4px 11px 8px rgb(30, 43, 2);, my code should be: $("#element").click(function () { var text-shadow = $("#element").css("text-shadow") }); Would it be possible to get it split like: var y = "-4px"; var x = "11px"; var blur = "8px"; color = "rgb(30, 43, 2)"; I need to somehow split the first variable to get this data. Thanx

  • Rerversing AND Bitwise.

    - by Benjamin
    Hey all, Here's the following algorithm: int encryption(int a, int b) { short int c, c2; uint8_t d; c = a ^ b; c2 = c; d = 0; while(c) { c &= c - 1; d++; } return d; } How can I find which variable a and b I should send in that function to decide of the output value of d? In other words, how can I reverse the algoritm to let's say if I want d=11?

  • jQuery: How to fire event when all asynchronous calls return?

    - by Jeremy
I have a jQuery application that loads data from five asynchronous server calls. I do not want to display any data until all five calls return. (I plan on displaying a Loading message until that happens.) How can I detect when all five calls have returned? I considered having each callback method increment a variable (using jQuery's data() method, perhaps) and then waiting for the value to become 5. (I am not sure yet how I would listen for that event.) I do not think this is a very good solution, however. What would happen if two calls return at the same time? Is there a better way to do this?

  • Twitter Trends API weekly.json causing error "Cannot use object of type stdClass as array"

    - by tucson
I have the following PHP code: $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL,$URL); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1); $result = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); $obj = json_decode($result); foreach ($obj[0]->trends as $trend) echo utf8_decode($trend->name); which works fine for URL #1 (into the variable $URL): http://api.twitter.com/1/trends/1.json?exclude=hashtags but causes an error "Cannot use object of type stdClass as array" for URL #2: http://api.twitter.com/1/trends/weekly.json?exclude=hashtags I have searched for a while, but can't figure out a code to fix this and handle both URLs. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Is there any benefit to declaring a private property with a getter and setter?

    - by AmoebaMan17
I am reviewing another developer's code and he has written a lot of code for class level variables that is similar to the following: /// <summary> /// how often to check for messages /// </summary> private int CheckForMessagesMilliSeconds { get; set; } /// <summary> /// application path /// </summary> private string AppPath { get; set; } Doesn't coding this way add unnecessary overhead since the variable is private? Am I not considering a situation where this pattern of coding is required for private variables?

  • Types in Bytecode

    - by HH
Hey everyone, I've been working for some time on (Java) Bytecode, however, it had never occurred to me to ask why are some instructions typed? I understand that in an ADD operation, we need to distinguish between an integer addition and a FP addition (that's why we have IADD and FADD). However, why do we need to distinguish between ISTORE and FSTORE? They both involve the exact same operation, which is moving 32 bits from the stack to a local variable position? The only answer I can think of is for type-safety, to prevent this: (ILOAD, ILOAD, FADD). However, I believe that type-safety is already enforced at the Java language level. OK, the Class file format is not directly coupled with Java, so is this a way to enforce type-safety for languages that do not support it? Any thought? Thank you.

  • How can this closure test be written in other languages?

    - by Jian Lin
I wonder how the following closure test can be written in other languages, such as C and Java. Can the same result be expected also in Perl, Python, and PHP? Ideally, we don't need to make a new local variable such as x and assign it the value of i inside the loop, but just so that i has a new copy in the new scope each time. (if possible). (some discussion is in this question.) The following is in Ruby, the "1.8.6" on the first line of result is the Ruby version which can be ignored. p RUBY_VERSION $foo = [] (1..5).each do |i| $foo[i] = lambda { p i } end (1..5).each do |j| $foo[j].call() end the print out is: [MacBook01:~] $ ruby scope.rb "1.8.6" 1 2 3 4 5 [MacBook01:~] $ Contrast that with another test, with i defined outside: p RUBY_VERSION $foo = [] i = 0 (1..5).each do |i| $foo[i] = lambda { p i } end (1..5).each do |j| $foo[j].call() end the print out: [MacBook01:~] $ ruby scope2.rb "1.8.6" 5 5 5 5 5 [MacBook01:~] $

  • Javascript: window.onload problem

    - by Matrym
This isn't working in IE (although it does work in FFX). Why? Using HTML in the header: <script type="application/javascript"> // And finally, let's call the code ourselves. window.onload = lbp.init; </script> And then the script: // lbp is the script's universal variable, which retains everything var lbp = {}; // The sequence of functions to trigger lbp.init = function() { alert('hi'); } Thanks in advance for your help =)

  • How do I route watir through a proxy pragmatically?

    - by feydr
I'm trying to route watir through a proxy pragmatically -- this means within the script I'd like to change my proxy dynamically before launching the browser. Here's what I've tried so far (and so far am failing): I'm running chrome and lucid lynx ubuntu. I chose TREX cause I thought watir might be making use of PROXY or something. I rewrote /usr/bin/google-chrome as: #!/bin/bash /opt/google/chrome/chrome --proxy-server="$TREX" $@ The reason I'm passing in the environment variable to proxy-server rather than http_proxy is because I never could get http_proxy to work as is anyways then I did a simple: require 'rubygems' require 'watir-webdriver' ENV['TREX'] = "XX.XX.XX.XX:YY" browser = Watir::Browser.new(:chrome) browser.goto("http://mysite.com") Anyways, what is happening here is that it is forwarding me to the login page of the proxy rather than just forwarding the request. What am I missing here? I feel like I'm pretty close.

  • Should we use require_once instead header location?

    - by jartaud
Hello commnunity, i have somthing like this: (if this page needs the user to be logged) if(!isset($_SESSION['usr_id'])){ //if not a logged user $_SESSION['redir']=curPageURL();//Saving the current page for the redirection header('Location: ../Session/loginFrm.php'); } and in loginFrm.php, we do: {...after validation} if(isset($_SESSION['redir'])){ header('Location: '.$_SESSION['redir']); }else{...} in this page, they say we should use something like this instead: ... require_once '../Session/loginFrm.php'; exit(); This doesn't work for me, the session variable now contains the included page, and not the current page. What do you think about?

  • Read out result of a PageMethod into a jQuery-script

    - by Jan-Frederik Carl
Hello, I am quite a jQuery novice and try to read out the result of a PageMethod into my jQuery script. I have a ScriptManager installed and the following WebMethod: [WebMethod(EnableSession = true)] public static string CheckSystemDefault(string _id) { int id = Convert.ToInt16(_id); addressTypeRepository = new AddressTypeRepository(); AddressType addressType = addressTypeRepository.GetById(id); if (addressType.IsSystemDefault == true) return "IsSystemDefault"; else return "IsNotSystemDefault"; } I use this to check if an object has the property IsSystemDefault. In the script, I hand over the id from the url and want to evaluate the result: var id = $(document).getUrlParam("id"); var check = PageMethods.CheckSystemDefault(id); if (check == "IsSystemDefault") { ... } if (check == "IsNotSystemDefault") { ... } But as a result, the variable "check" is undefined. What do I have to change?

  • Can 'locals' be used with 'collection' when rendering partials in Rails?

    - by Gav
Everything works okay when I try to render a partial like this: = render :partial => "/shared/enquiry/car_type", :collection => @enquiry.available_car_types However, if I also want to pass a variable (in this case 'path', because I'm sharing this partial across two forms), the path is not available to me: = render :partial => "/shared/enquiry/car_type", :collection => @enquiry.available_car_types, :locals => {:path => customers_enquiry_path} I've tried moving things around, but nothing appears to work, leading me to believe one cannot use locals with collections. Any help would be appreciated. Gav

  • Is there a better way than #if DebugMode for logging

    - by Daniel
I'm making a c++ library thats going to be P/Invoked from c#, so i am unable to breakpoint/debug the c++ side of things. So i decided to add logging so i can see if anything goes wrong and where it happens. I add a #define DebugMode 1 in order to determine if i am to log or not. First of all i'm not very good at c++ but i know enough to get around. So my questions are: Is there a better way than wrapping #if DebugMode #endifs around every Log call? I could simply do that inside the method and just return if logging isn't disabled but won't that mean then all those logging strings will be in the assembly? How can i emulate what printf does with its "..." operator enabling me to pass something like Log("Variable x is {0}", x); Thanks!

  • How can i supply an AntiForgeryToken when posting JSON data using $.ajax ?

    - by HerbalMart
    I am using the code as below of this post: First i will an fill array variable with the correct values for the controller action. Using the code below i think it should be very straigtforward by just adding the following line to the javascript: data["__RequestVerificationToken"] = $('[name=__RequestVerificationToken]').val(); The <%= Html.AntiForgeryToken() %> is at his right place and the action has a [ValidateAntiForgeryToken] But my controller action keeps saying: "Invalid forgery token" What am i doing wrong here? Code data["fiscalyear"] = fiscalyear; data["subgeography"] = $(list).parent().find('input[name=subGeography]').val(); data["territories"] = new Array(); $(items).each(function() { data["territories"].push($(this).find('input[name=territory]').val()); }); if (url != null) { $.ajax( { dataType: 'JSON', contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8', url: url, type: 'POST', context: document.body, data: JSON.stringify(data), success: function() { refresh(); } }); }

  • How do you move html from one div to another with Jquery without breaking javascript

    - by KallDrexx
I have two divs for different sections of my webpage, a working and a reference section. One is fixed size, the other is variable sized and they are vertically stacked. I am trying to design it so that if you want to work on something in the reference pane, you click a link and it swaps all the data between the two panes. My idea was to do the following: var working = $("#working_pane").html(); var ref = $("#reference_pane").html(); $("#working_pane").html(ref); $("#reference_pane").html(working); The problem with this, is it seems that any javascript referenced inside of these panes (for example, in place editors) get broken upon switching. No javascript errors occur, it's just that nothing happens, like the javascript ties are broken. Is there any to move the html without breaking the javascript contained?

  • IntPtr arithmetics

    - by Luca
I tried to allocate an array of structs in this way: struct T { int a; int b; } data = Marshal.AllocHGlobal(count*Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(T)); ... I'd like to access to allocated data "binding" a struct to each element in array allocated with AllocHGlobal... something like this T v; v = (T)Marshal.PtrToStructure(data+1, typeof(T)); but i don't find any convenient way... why IntPtr lack of arithmetics? How can I workaround this is a "safe" way? Someone could confirm that PtrToStructure function copy data into the struct variable? In other words, modifing the struct reflect modifications in the structure array data, or not? Definitely, I want to operate on data pointed by an IntPtr using struct, without copying data each time, avoiding unsafe code. Thank all!

  • How to prevent certain workflows from showing in SharePoint's Workflow.aspx page for a list.

    - by Burt
I have a few workflows associated with a SharePoint list (e.g., Pages). Some are written as SharePoint WF workflows in Visual Studio, but some are no-code workflows created in SharePoint Designer. I programmatically start the WF workflows, but the no-code ones are started manually. When a user goes to "/_layouts/Workflow.aspx?ID=&List=&ShowStart=1" they will see all of the workflows. If I set ShowStart variable to 0 they will see none. If I don't allow the WF workflows to be started manually, then they don't seem to start programmatically correctly. Is there a way to allow the WF workflows to be started programmatically, but not manually? I also want the no-code workflows to be able to be started manually when ShowStart=1. Any ideas are welcome.

  • How do I keep the width of a table constant when it has dynamic content?

    - by Lincoln Bergeson
How do I keep the width of a table constant, even when the content of that table is interactively changing? Old Post: How do I insert a variable length tab in HTML? I want certain dynamic fields in my table to line up but they're changing width constantly. EDIT: What I mean is this: in any text editor I can press tab to align certain bits of text, and not care about how many spaces there are. In fact, the number of spaces there needs to be for the leftmost part of the text can change, and I still won't care, as long as the text lines up. How do I do this is in HTML?

  • Flex 4.6 Mobile - Scrolling to the last added item in a dataGrid with variableRowHeight

    - by user1305331
I'm trying to set the scroll vertical position of a spark dataGrid to show the items as I add them to the grid. I know you can set the scroll position like this: dataGrid.scroller.viewport.verticalScrollPosition = itemPosition*rowHeight; The problem is that the dataGrid have variableRowHeight, as each row word wraps their name labels, and I don't know how to get each row height. I though of getting the itemRenderer associated with every item as I add it to the grid, and keep the total row height value in a variable, but don't know how to achieve that. Is there any way to set the scroll position of a dataGrid with variableRowHeight to show the last added item?
