• PL/SQL profiler missing data

  We are using pl/sql profiler to collect metrics. We noticed that on one of the environment the plsql_profiler_runs table is populated with the total execution time but the finer details that gets collected in the table plsql_profiler_data is missing. Any idea why this would be happening? We do use dbms_profiler.flush_data() before stopping the profiler and have seen this work fine in another environment.

• How do you pass or share variables between django views?

  Hi, I'm kind of lost as to how to do this: I have some chained select boxes, with one select box per view. Each choice should be saved so that a query is built up. At the end, the query should be run. But how do you share state in django? I can pass from view to template, but not template to view and not view to view. Or I'm truly not sure how to do this. Please help!

  I am using Zend_Gdata_SpreadsheetsListQuery. In PHP my query is: "confirmation=$confirmation" The problem is that $confirmation = 'AB-CD-EFG-012345'; Apparently the hyphens are causing problems with the query and the exception thrown is: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Gdata_App_HttpException' with message 'Expected response code 200, got 400 Parse error: Invalid token encountered' How can I quote or escape the value to not cause parse errors? Single quotes cause the same error, double quotes don't throw errors but there are no results to match.

  I have built an ERP using Sql Server as a back-end. These are the different types of Client documents (there are also Supplier Docs): Order -- impact: BO Delivery Note (also used for returns, with negative quantity) --impact: BO, Stock Invoice --impact: accounting only Credit Note --impact: accounting, BO I use a complex system of self joins (at detail level) to find out the quantities in each OrderDetail that still have a backorder (BO). It'd like to simplify this using a [group] field that could be used through all detail line related to an original order. There are many difficult things to trace: a Return of a product may be due to a defect and thus increase the BO, or it can be just a return, joined with a Credit Note, and then has no impact on BO. My question is: do you know of any real good reference (book, web) for this matter ?

  I have a large-ish file (4-5 GB compressed) of small messages that I wish to parse into approximately 6,000 files by message type. Messages are small; anywhere from 5 to 50 bytes depending on the type. Each message starts with a fixed-size type field (a 6-byte key). If I read a message of type '000001', I want to write append its payload to 000001.dat, etc. The input file contains a mixture of messages; I want N homogeneous output files, where each output file contains only the messages of a given type. What's an efficient a fast way of writing these messages to so many individual files? I'd like to use as much memory and processing power to get it done as fast as possible. I can write compressed or uncompressed files to the disk. I'm thinking of using a hashmap with a message type key and an outputstream value, but I'm sure there's a better way to do it. Thanks!

  I know that there are simmilar questions like this on the forum, however I am still having problems to update a datetime field o the database. I dont get any problems when inserting but I get problems when updating and I am formating the same way , like this: e.Values.Item("SelectionStartDate") = Format(startdate, "yyyy-MM-dd") + " " + startTime1 + ".000" startTime is of type string. I have tried different solution that I came across on the internet but still get this error. Please help. Thanks in advance

  So...I'm trying to get unit tests set up in my iPhone App but I'm having some issues. I'm trying to test my model classes but they inherit directly from NSManagedObject. I'm sure this is a problem but I don't know how to get around it. Everything is building and running as expected but I get this error when calling any method on the class I'm testing: Unknown.m:0:0 unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xc2b120 If I follow this structure (http://chanson.livejournal.com/115621.html) to create my object in my tests I end up with another error entirely but it still doesn't help me. Basically my question is this: how can I test a class that inherits from NSManagedObject?

  I am very new to this, and I more looking for what information I need to study to be able to accomplish this. What I want to do is use my GUI I have built for my app, but pull the information from a website.   Hi, Imagine the obvious model of employees and departments, where each employee must refer to a single department, and each department may have none to many employees. For Employee I have a pointer to Department, and I set its value to the address of the object of the relevant Department. When I try to save the Employee I get an error: 2010-04-07 10:05:22.491 CoreData2[1112:207] * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value (key: Department)' I tried, just for testing, to make the reference from Employee to Department optional, but I get the same result.   My ViewModel: class ViewModel { public string FileName {get;set;} } and in my View I bind a label's content to ViewModel's FileName. now When I do drag-drop a file to my View, How can I update the label's Content property, so that the ViewMode's FileName also get updated via binding? Directly set the label's Content property won't work, it just simply clear the binding.

  I have a group of 13 properties in a class. I created a struct for these properties and passed it to another class. I need to add another 10 groups of these 13 properties. So thats 130 properties in total. What do I do? I could add all 130 properties to the struct.   I display an image in a UIImageView (within a UIScrollView) which is also stored in CoreData. In the interface, I want the user to be able to rotate the picture by 90 degrees. I also want it to be saved in CoreData. What should I rotate in the display? the scrollview, the uiimageview or the image itself? (If possible I would like the rotation to be animated) But then I also have to save the picture to CoreData. I thought about changing the image orientation but this property is readonly.

• Databinding to type double - decimal mark lost

  I have a project where I'm databinding a gridview to a list, where one column is databound to a gridview. The problem I have is that with the double being 5.5 on one computer it appears as 5.5 in the gridview. But on another it looks like 55, the decimal mark dissapears. So 3.14 will look like 314 etc. The error occurs with the following code: myDatagrid.ItemsSource = someList; Binding binding = new Binding("DoubleValue"); myColumnInDatagrid.Binding = binding; I've also tried using a very simple valueconverter, that just return the double, and parsed it in ConvertBack. I'm pretty new to WPF so I'm sorry if I've made some obvious mistakes, I just don't understand why it works on one computer but not on the other. Perhaps it should be noted that both of the computers use the same operating system, with the same language settings (afaik at least).

• How do I mock a custom field that is deleted so that south migrations run?

  I have removed an app that contained a couple of custom fields from my project. Now when I try to run my migrations I get ImportError, naturally. These fields were very basic customizations like below: from django.db.models.fields import IntegerField class SomeField(IntegerField): def get_internal_type(self): return "SomeField" def db_type(self, connectio=None): return 'integer' def clean(self, value): # some custom cleanup pass So, none of them contain any database level customizations. When I removed this code, I've created migrations so the subsequent migration all ran fine. But when I try to run them on a pre-deletion database I realized my mistake. I can re-create a bare-bones app and make these imports work, but Ideally I would like to know if South has a mechanism to resolve these issues? Or is there any best practises? It would be cool if I could solve these issues just by modifying my migrations and not touching the codebase. (Django 1.3, South 0.7.3)
