    Hello! I have an old machine, and I want to use for that to learn employees how to use Ubuntu, and to be easyer to switch from Windows. I've been installed 10.04, and updated, but this strange stuff is happend. Graphical installion failed, same strange thing. With alternate workd. Sometimes, when I boot up, a boot message displayed: Keyboard failure..., often diplayed after reboot, and after shutdown, when I haven't plugged off from AC. I replaced the keyboard yet, same failure... If I powered off, and plugged off from AC, no keyboard problems displayed in boot time. Details Configuration: Dell OptiPlex GX60 - in original cover, no changes. 256 MB DDR 166 MHz Intel® Celeron® Processor 2.40 GHz Dell 0C3207 Base Board I know, that is not enough, but I have three other Nec compuers, with nearly similar config, and they works well with 9.10, 10.04, 10.10. Live CDs I've been tried with 10.04 and 10.10, but the problem is displayed too. With 9.10 no strange things displayed, but it froze, during a simple apt-get install. Syslog An error loop is logged here, but I paste the whole startup and error lines. The flashing lines are displayed sometimes immediately after login, but sometimes after 10 minutes, but once occured, that nothing happend. Strange thing is displayed immediately after login: here.     I'm forwarding the WiFi router's log messages to our sysadmin box (sb3). This is the stanza in /etc/rsyslog.conf: # WiFi router log :fromhost-ip, isequal,'10.3.291.2' /var/log/wifi-router.log & ~ However, the log looks like this: Dec 23 10:41:58 sb3 dnsmasq-dhcp[253]: DHCPACK(br0) 10.3.292.133 xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx dg-ipad I want to customize so that anything logged to wifi-router.log does not mention sb3 but indicates the sender of the log message. How would I do this?

    I've edited my conf.d/ssl.conf file and changed the TransferLog directive from: TransferLog logs/ssl_access_log to TransferLog "|/usr/sbin/rotatelogs logs/ssl_access_log.%Y-%m-%d.log 60" (I am using 60 seconds for testing) Since that change and an httpd restart my original ssl_access_log is not updating and a new log was not generated. What am I missing? in my error log, I am receiving this message Could not open log file 'logs/ssl_access_log.2014-05-30.log' (No such file or directory) piped log program '/usr/sbin/rotatelogs logs/ssl_access_log.%Y-%m-%d.log 60' failed unexpectedly

    I have been advise by Commvault partner support to turn off the backup of the master database as the backup failed due to the log file being lock. The following is the advise given: "The message is caused by Commvault’s inability to backup the master database’s transaction log. If this is happening intermittently its possible that something is locking the transaction log, preventing SQL iData agent from accessing the log.   • Mandatory profile on Terminal server fails to load. Userenv.log debug

    Hi, We're having a lot of corrupted profiles lately on our profile share. At the moment I have no clue why, but I decided to switch to one mandatory profile since the users can all use the same and there is no need to have seperate profiles for each user. Here's what I did. I logged into the Terminal server with a new user and configured some stuff (imported certificates and a few files). Then I logged out. Later as admin I copied the profile to another server and renamed it to bsilo. I made sure the user hive settings were adjusted. Everyone had access to the hive. I shared the bsilo folder with full access for everyone. I set the NTFS permissions to read, read & execute, list folder contents for domain users. I also renamed NTUSER.DAT to NTUSER.MAN. Now I set a env variable %manprofile% on the Terminal server that points to \server\bsilo\ntuser.man I set the env var as terminal services profile path for a test user. When I log in I as the user get the following output The system cannot find the path specified. Can somebody point me in the right direction.     I have a SQL Server CE database that works fine in dev, but when installed on the client has an issue. The SQL Server CE 3.5 dependencies are copied as part of the deployment. The target machine is a clean Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate image. The message for the exception in the event log is: Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region. It looks like this is SSCE_M_CANTOPENSHAREDMEMORY and the site says there isn't a connection string value to change this and that these issues are typically not resolvable by the end developers. Has anyone run into this, and if so were you able to resolve this issue?

  • Too many open files error in Glassfish3 while using https listener

    I have a problem running webservice that requires https connection(Glassfish3). After running for a while, it eventually crashes. Log file show "Failed to load keystore type JKS with path ....config/keystore.jks due to ...config/keystore.jks (Too many open files)". lsof shows that a number of open files are constantly increasing (among others, I noticed that there are many files with type 'sock' and undefined protocol that never get closed). I tried changing the limit of open files, but it resulted in a longer time before crashing... I blamed the webservice, but everything works fine if the application doesn't require confidential protocol. Did I miss anything in http listener configuration ? Or it is rather an application error?     I've noticed a curious phenomena popping up in my error logs recently. If, as the result of processing a form, I redirect my users to the URL http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz, I will see the following two URLs in my log http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=barbar=baz http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz The first one is obviously incorrect and will cause my application to redirect to a 404. It always appears first, usually a second before the second one. The 404 page is not doing the redirection, so it appears that the browser is trying both versions. At first, looking at my server logs made me believe it affected only Firefox 3.6.3, but I've found an example of Safari being afflicted as well. It happens fairly intermittently, though it can occur multiple times in a users' session. I've never been able to get it to happen to me. Any thoughts as to the nature of the problem or a solution?

    I am saving pictures under my web folder in the folder: web/media/photo In the template that displays the photo, I have the following snippet: <?php echo link_to(image_tag('media/photo/filename.jpg', '@some_url); ?> When I display the view, although the photo is displayed correctly and the link works, I get the following error in my php_errors.log file: Action "media/photo" does not exist. Why is symfony trying to parse the path to the image as a url? Does anyone know how to fix this?
