  • css issue when resize windows

    hi i am having issue with css as when i resize the windows the div is not placed properly as below this is css involving the div .similar_story_block_form { background-color: white; border: 1px solid #CCCCCC; border-radius: 0 0 12px 12px; box-shadow: 0 4px 14px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.8); font-size: 13px; left: 337px; position: absolute; top: 105px; width: 337px; z-index: 100; } currently i use chrome which give me the same issue. What am i missing here? Thank for your help

  • Putting li's into rows

    I have a long list of li's. <ul> <li> <img src="test.jpg"> </li> <li> <img src="test.jpg"> </li> //etc Each li has this styling: width: 10%; display: inline-block; vertical-align: middle; When I get to more than 10 li's in a row, they go on to the next row. Is this the correct way to do it? or should I wrap each 10 li's into something that breaks the line? What the best/correct method? i intialy chose this method as it would be easily to loop out data from a database.

    I have floated two divs to left and right...But the next div after those two divs does not appear correctly... My code is follows #Div1{ position: relative; float: left; } #Div2{ position: relative; float: right; } And the display as follows <div id="Div1">This is aligned to left on the same x axis</div> <div id="Div2">This is aligned to right on the same x axis</div> <div style="color: red;">After the alignment this div does not align</div> The output is as follows http://i.stack.imgur.com/8A6hz.png But I expect something like this http://i.stack.imgur.com/wVGN6.png Anyway to accomplish this task ??   • Stop an input field in a form from being submitted

    I'm writing some javascript that will insert some input fields into a form on a website. The thing is, I don't want those input fields to affect the form in any way, I don't want them to be submitted when the form is submitted, I only want my javascript to have access to their values. Is there some way I could add some input fields into the middle of a form and not have them submitted when the form is submitted? Obviously the ideal thing would be for the input fields to not be in the form element, but I want the layout of my resulting page to have my inserted input fields appear between elements of the original form.

My two columns are set inside a single column of the above row? but when i change it again to 'none' all the other rows are aligned correctly..

  • another file_exists with special chars problem

    I have some folders with special characters in their names. I run currently at a test-computer with Windows OS, but later I will use LINUX. My problem is that the folders with special chars in their names cannot be recognized somehow. ex: file_exists('../Bilar/27733691_1.jpg') // TRUE file_exists('../Båtar/27733691_1.jpg') // FALSE because of the special char in folder name... How should I solve this? I plan to run LINUX in the future when website is online... would that matter? Please explain thoroughly because I am a newb at this Thanks

    I have a div which I am using as a footer to display some content. I have put the style as: .pageFooter{ position:absolute; bottom:0px; width:100%; height:25px; background:#e6e6e6; } This style works well when there is not content in the body of page. But when I populate the page with content, say datagrid, the div is overlaps data in datagrid. What changes should I make to the style to let the div be at the bottom always. I am using IE* to view the pages.

When i hover over the main hover links (blue ones) quickly eg going horizontally quickly hovering each top menu, the some submenus don't close. How do i make it so that even if i hover fast over them all other submenus are closed? Thanks.

The first example above, lead me to some pretty funky formatting issues, and it seems like in example 1 <label> should be used in place of <th>.
