  • Dependency Property on ValueConverter

    - by spoon16
    I'm trying to initialize a converter in the Resources section of my UserControl with a reference to one of the objects in my control. When I try to run the application I get an XAML parse exception. XAML: <UserControl.Resources> <converter:PointConverter x:Key="pointConverter" Map="{Binding ElementName=ThingMap}" /> </UserControl.Resources> <Grid> <m:Map x:Name="ThingMap" /> </Grid> Point Converter Class: public class PointConverter : DependencyObject, IValueConverter { public Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.Map Map { get { return (Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.Map)GetValue(MapProperty); } set { SetValue(MapProperty, value); } } // Using a DependencyProperty as the backing store for Map. This enables animation, styling, binding, etc... public static readonly DependencyProperty MapProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("Map", typeof(Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.Map), typeof(PointConverter), null); public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, CultureInfo culture) { string param = (string)parameter; Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.Location location = value as Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.Location; if (location != null) { Point point = Map.LocationToViewportPoint(location); if (string.Compare(param.ToUpper(), "X") == 0) return point.X; else if (string.Compare(param.ToUpper(), "Y") == 0) return point.Y; return point; } return null; } public object ConvertBack(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, CultureInfo culture) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } }

  • how to show avg of employees salary in a NSTextField using NSArrayController and cocoa bindings

    - by Miraaj
    Hi all, I am new to cocoa bindings so I tried to make a simple application which will simply calculate avg of employees salary and display it in a text field, using cocoa bindings. I followed these steps: Made the model class : Person with one property for now - @property (readwrite, assign) int salary; In the application delegate class I initialized a mutable array : personArray with certain objects like this: Person *person1 = [[Person alloc] init]; person1.salary = 5000; Person *person2 = [[Person alloc] init]; person2.salary = 15000; Person *person3 = [[Person alloc] init]; person3.salary = 7000; Person *person4 = [[Person alloc] init]; person4.salary = 9000; Person *person5 = [[Person alloc] init]; person5.salary = 11000; personArray= [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:person1, person2, person3, person4, person5,nil]; In IB I dropped a NSArrayController object, set its mode as Class - Person, added key salary in attribute pane. Then in bindings pane, binded contents array to ApplicationDelegate class with model key path set to self.personArray. Dropped a NSTextField on window. Binded its value to ArrayController object. Assigned controller key as - arrangedObjects. Assigned Model key path to @avg.salary When I executed the application I found no value being displayed in the text field. Can anyone suggest me where I may be wrong? Thanks, Miraaj

  • Compare NSDate for Today or Yesterday

    - by elementsense
    Hi Well I guess this has been asked a thousand times, but for some reason the answeres dont really work or had other problems,.... Anyway here is what I have "working" : NSCalendar *calendar = [NSCalendar currentCalendar]; NSDate *currentDate = [NSDate date]; NSDateComponents *comps = [[NSDateComponents alloc] init]; // set tomorrow (0: today, -1: yesterday) [comps setDay:0]; NSDate *dateToday = [calendar dateByAddingComponents:comps toDate:currentDate options:0]; [comps setDay:-1]; NSDate *dateYesterday = [calendar dateByAddingComponents:comps toDate:currentDate options:0]; [comps release]; NSString *todayString = [self.dateFormatter stringFromDate:dateToday] ; NSString *yesterdayString = [self.dateFormatter stringFromDate:dateYesterday] ; NSString *refDateString = [self.dateFormatter stringFromDate:info.date]; if ([refDateString isEqualToString:todayString]) { cell.title.text = @"Today"; } else if ([refDateString isEqualToString:yesterdayString]) { cell.title.text = @"Yesterday"; } else { cell.title.text = [self.dateFormatter stringFromDate:info.date]; } Now to the problem(s) : That seems to be an awefull lot of code for just a date comparinson, is there an easier way ? And the most important question is the release of all the objects. As might have guessed, I use this in a UITableViewController. I also have these lines in my code : //[calendar release]; //[currentDate release]; //[dateToday release]; //[dateYesterday release]; //[todayString release]; //[yesterdayString release]; //[refDateString release]; The problem is that as soon that I uncomment one of these lines, my app crashes and I have no idea why ?! I hope someone can enlighten me here. Thanks lot.

  • populating object collection property with Linq

    - by Benjamin Ortuzar
    I have an XML structure that has many doc nodes, and each node may have zero or more extract paragraphs (paras). <doc> <docitem>3</docitem> <docid>129826</docid> <doctitle>sample title</doctitle> <docdatetime>2009-07-03T16:59:00</docdatetime> <collectdatetime>2009-07-03T16:59:23</collectdatetime> <summary> <summarytext>sample summary</summarytext> </summary> <paras> <paraitemcount>2</paraitemcount> <para> <paraitem>1</paraitem> <paratext>sample text 1</paratext> </para> <para> <paraitem>2</paraitem> <paratext>sample text 2</paratext> </para> </paras> </doc> <doc> ... </doc> I also has some Linq code to populate some Document objects: List<Document> documentsList = (from doc in xmlDocument.Descendants("doc") select new Document { DocId = doc.Element("docid").Value, DocTitle = doc.Element("doctitle").Value, DocDateTime = DateTime.Parse(doc.Element("docdate").Value), DocSummary = doc.Element("summary").Value, DocParas = "" ///missing code to populate List<string> } ).ToList<Document>(); Is it possible add all the paras nodes into the Document.DocParas List<string> using Linq and Xpath, or should I do this task in a different way? Note: I'm using .NET C# 3.5

  • Most efficient way of creating tree from adjacency list

    - by Jeff Meatball Yang
    I have an adjacency list of objects (rows loaded from SQL database with the key and it's parent key) that I need to use to build an unordered tree. It's guaranteed to not have cycles. This is taking wayyy too long (processed only ~3K out of 870K nodes in about 5 minutes). Running on my workstation Core 2 Duo with plenty of RAM. Any ideas on how to make this faster? public class StampHierarchy { private StampNode _root; private SortedList<int, StampNode> _keyNodeIndex; // takes a list of nodes and builds a tree // starting at _root private void BuildHierarchy(List<StampNode> nodes) { Stack<StampNode> processor = new Stack<StampNode>(); _keyNodeIndex = new SortedList<int, StampNode>(nodes.Count); // find the root _root = nodes.Find(n => n.Parent == 0); // find children... processor.Push(_root); while (processor.Count != 0) { StampNode current = processor.Pop(); // keep a direct link to the node via the key _keyNodeIndex.Add(current.Key, current); // add children current.Children.AddRange(nodes.Where(n => n.Parent == current.Key)); // queue the children foreach (StampNode child in current.Children) { processor.Push(child); nodes.Remove(child); // thought this might help the Where above } } } } public class StampNode { // properties: int Key, int Parent, string Name, List<StampNode> Children }

  • Getting Indy Error "Could not bind socket. Address and port are already in use"

    - by M Schenkel
    I have developed a Delphi web server application (TWebModule). It runs as a ISAPI DLL on Apache under Windows. The application in turn makes frequent https calls to other web sites using the Indy TIdHTTP component. Periodically I get this error when using the TIdHTTP.get method: Could not bind socket. Address and port are already in use Here is the code: IdSSLIOHandlerSocket1 := TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL.create(nil); IdHTTP := TIdHTTP.create(nil); idhttp.handleredirects := True; idhttp.OnRedirect := DoRedirect; with IdSSLIOHandlerSocket1 do begin SSLOptions.Method := sslvSSLv3; SSLOptions.Mode := sslmUnassigned; SSLOptions.VerifyMode := []; SSLOptions.VerifyDepth := 2; end; with IdHTTP do begin IOHandler := IdSSLIOHandlerSocket1; ProxyParams.BasicAuthentication := False; Request.UserAgent := 'Test Google Analytics Interface'; Request.ContentType := 'text/html'; request.connection := 'keep-alive'; Request.Accept := 'text/html, */*'; end; try idhttp.get('http://www.mysite.com......'); except ....... end; IdHTTP.free; IdSSLIOHandlerSocket1.free; I have read about the reusesocket method, which can be set on both the TIdHttp and TIdSSLLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL objects. Will setting this to rsTrue solve my problems? I ask because I have not been able to replicate this error, it just happens periodically. Other considerations: I know multiple instances of TWebModule are being spawned. Would wrapping all calls to TIdHttp.get within a TCriticalSection solve the problem?

  • Rails - difference between config.cache_store and config.action_controller.cache_store?

    - by gsmendoza
    If I set this in my environment config.action_controller.cache_store = :mem_cache_store ActionController::Base.cache_store will use a memcached store but Rails.cache will use a memory store instead: $ ./script/console >> ActionController::Base.cache_store => #<ActiveSupport::Cache::MemCacheStore:0xb6eb4bbc @data=<MemCache: 1 servers, ns: nil, ro: false>> >> Rails.cache => #<ActiveSupport::Cache::MemoryStore:0xb78b5e54 @data={}> In my app, I use Rails.cache.fetch(key){ object } to cache objects inside my helpers. All this time, I assumed that Rails.cache uses the memcached store so I'm surprised that it uses memory store. If I change the cache_store setting in my environment to config.cache_store = :mem_cache_store both ActionController::Base.cache_store and Rails.cache will now use the same memory store, which is what I expect: $ ./script/console >> ActionController::Base.cache_store => #<ActiveSupport::Cache::MemCacheStore:0xb7b8e928 @data=<MemCache: 1 servers, ns: nil, ro: false>, @middleware=#<Class:0xb7b73d44>, @thread_local_key=:active_support_cache_mem_cache_store_local_cache> >> Rails.cache => #<ActiveSupport::Cache::MemCacheStore:0xb7b8e928 @data=<MemCache: 1 servers, ns: nil, ro: false>, @middleware=#<Class:0xb7b73d44>, @thread_local_key=:active_support_cache_mem_cache_store_local_cache> However, when I run the app, I get a "marshal dump" error in the line where I call Rails.cache.fetch(key){ object } no marshal_dump is defined for class Proc Extracted source (around line #1): 1: Rails.cache.fetch(fragment_cache_key(...), :expires_in => 15.minutes) { ... } vendor/gems/memcache-client-1.8.1/lib/memcache.rb:359:in 'dump' vendor/gems/memcache-client-1.8.1/lib/memcache.rb:359:in 'set_without_newrelic_trace' What gives? Is Rails.cache meant to be a memory store? Should I call controller.cache_store.fetch in the places where I call Rails.cache.fetch?

  • KeepAlive packets over a Soap request

    - by Nycto
    I've been debugging some Soap requests we are making between two servers on the same VLAN. The app on one server is written in PHP, the app on the other is written in Java. I can control and make changes to the PHP code, but I can't affect the Java server. The PHP app forms the XML using the DOMDocument objects, then sends the request using the cURL extension. When the soap request took longer than 5 minutes to complete, it would always wait until the max timeout limit and exit with a message like this: Operation timed out after 900000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received After sniffing the packets that were being sent, it turns out that the problem was caused by a 5 minute timeout in the network that was closing what it thought was a stale connection. There were two ways to fix it: bump up the timeout in iptables, or start sending KeepAlive packets over the request. To be thorough, I would like to implement both solutions. Bumping up the timeout was easy for ops to do, but sending KeepAlive packets is turning out to be difficult. The cURL library itself supports this (see the --keepalive-time flag for the CLI app), but it doesn't appear that this has been implemented in the PHP cURL library. I even checked the source to make sure it wasn't an undocumented feature. So my question is this: How the heck can I get these packets sent? I see a few clear options, but I don't like any of them: Write a wrapper that will kick off the request by shell_execing the CLI app. This is a hack that I just don't like Update the cURL extension to support this. This is a non-option according to Ops. Open the socket myself. I know just enough to be dangerous. I also haven't seen a way to do this with fsockopen, but I could be missing something. Switch to another library. What exists that supports this? Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • How to determine the correct (case sensitive) URL for a SharePoint site

    - by Goyuix
    SharePoint is generally very tolerant of accepting a URL in a case-insensitive fashion, however there are a few cases where it completely breaks down. For example, when creating a site column it somehow stores and uses the URL when it was created, and when trying to edit the field definition through the Site Column Gallery (fldedit.aspx page in the LAYOUTS) you end up throwing the error below. Value does not fall within the expected range. at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldCollection.GetFieldByInternalName(String strName, Boolean bThrowException) at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldCollection.GetFieldByInternalName(String strName) at Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.BasicFieldEditPage.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) How can I reliably get the correct URL for a site/web? The SPSite.Url and SPWeb.Url properties seem to return back whatever case they are instantiated with. In other words, the site collection is provisioned using the following URL: http://server/Path/Site If I create a new Site Column using the SharePoint object model and happen to use http://server/path/site when instantiating the SPSite and SPWeb objects, the site column will be made available but when trying to access it through the gallery the error above is generated. If I correct the URL in the address bar, I can still view/modify the definition for the SPField in question, but the default URL that is generated is bogus. Clear as mud? Example code: (this is a bad example because of the case sensitivity issue) // note: site should be partially caps: http://server/Path/Site using (SPSite site = new SPSite("http://server/path/site")) { using (SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb()) { web.Fields.AddFieldAsXml("..."); // correct XML really here } }

  • db4o Replication System: NullReferenceException?

    - by virtualmic
    Hi, I am trying to do standard bi-directional replication as follows. However, I get a NullReferenceException. This is a separate replication project. I did import the classes involved in the original project (such as Item, Category etc.) in this replication project. What am I doing wrong? (If I debug using VS, I can see that changedObjects does have all the changed objects; there seems to be some problem inside Replicate function) IObjectContainer local = Db4oFactory.OpenFile(@"G:\Work\School\MIS\VINMIS\Inventory\bin\Debug\vin.db4o"); IObjectContainer far = Db4oFactory.OpenFile(@"\\crs-lap\c$\vinmis\vin.db4o"); ; IReplicationSession replication = Replication.Begin(local, far); IObjectSet changedObjects = replication.ProviderA().ObjectsChangedSinceLastReplication(); while(changedObjects.HasNext()) replication.Replicate(changedObjects.Next()); // Exception!!! replication.Commit(); changedObjects = replication.ProviderB().ObjectsChangedSinceLastReplication(); while (changedObjects.HasNext()) replication.Replicate(changedObjects.Next()); replication.Commit(); Regards, Saurabh.

  • Proper way to implement IXmlSerializable?

    - by Greg
    Once a programmer decides to implement IXmlSerializable, what are the rules and best practices for implementing it? I've heard that GetSchema() should return null and ReadXml should move to the next element before returning. Are these true? And what about WriteXml: should it write a root element for the object or is it assumed that the root is already written? How should child objects be treated and written. Here's a sample of what I have now. I'll update it as I get good responses. public class Calendar: IEnumerable<Gvent>, IXmlSerializable { public XmlSchema GetSchema() { return null; } public void ReadXml(XmlReader reader) { if (reader.MoveToContent() == XmlNodeType.Element && reader.LocalName == "Calendar") { _Name = reader["Name"]; _Enabled = Boolean.Parse(reader["Enabled"]); _Color = Color.FromArgb(Int32.Parse(reader["Color"])); if (reader.ReadToDescendant("Event")) { while (reader.MoveToContent() == XmlNodeType.Element && reader.LocalName == "Event") { var evt = new Event(); evt.ReadXml(reader); _Events.Add(evt); } } reader.Read(); } } public void WriteXml(XmlWriter writer) { writer.WriteAttributeString("Name", _Name); writer.WriteAttributeString("Enabled", _Enabled.ToString()); writer.WriteAttributeString("Color", _Color.ToArgb().ToString()); foreach (var evt in _Events) { writer.WriteStartElement("Event"); evt.WriteXml(writer); writer.WriteEndElement(); } } } public class Event : IXmlSerializable { public XmlSchema GetSchema() { return null; } public void ReadXml(XmlReader reader) { if (reader.MoveToContent() == XmlNodeType.Element && reader.LocalName == "Event") { _Title = reader["Title"]; _Start = DateTime.FromBinary(Int64.Parse(reader["Start"])); _Stop = DateTime.FromBinary(Int64.Parse(reader["Stop"])); reader.Read(); } } public void WriteXml(XmlWriter writer) { writer.WriteAttributeString("Title", _Title); writer.WriteAttributeString("Start", _Start.ToBinary().ToString()); writer.WriteAttributeString("Stop", _Stop.ToBinary().ToString()); } }

  • onmouseover with django / imagekit

    - by Michael Moreno
    I'm using Imagekit. View.py includes: def pics(request): p = Photo.objects.all() return render_to_response('Shots.html', {'p': p}) The following simple code in the template will generate associated images: {% for p in p %} <img src = "{{ p.display.url }}"> <img src = "{{ p.thumbnail_image.url }}"> {% endfor %} I'm attempting to generate a series of thumbnails {{ p.thumbnail_image.url }} which, when mouseover'd, will generate the slightly larger version of the image, {{ p.display.url }} via Javascript. The following code in the template attempts to do so: <html> <head> <HEAD> <script language="Javascript"> { image1 = new Image image2 = new Image image1.src = {{ p.thumbnail_image.url }} image2.src = {{ p.display.url }} </script> </head> <body> {% for p in p %} <a href="" onMouseOver="document.rollover.src= image2.src onMouseOut="document.rollover.src= image1.src"> <img src="{{ p.thumbnail_image.url }}" border=0 name="rollover"></a> {% endfor %} </body> </html> This will display the series of thumbnails, but the larger image will not display when mouseover'd. I believe it has to do with how I'm specifying the variable {{ p.display.url }}.

  • - (void)keyboardWasShown not called when switching to another UITextField

    - by Shawn
    I'm having a strange problem that I don't understand. I have a UIScrollView with several UITextField objects. When I switch to the view, I set the first UITextField as firstresponder, and the keyboardWasShown method gets called due to the UIKeyboardDidShowNotification that the view is registered for. The weird thing is, when I touch the next UITextField, the keyboardWasShown method is not called. I don't understand this, since Apple's documentation says "If your interface has multiple text fields, the user can tap between them to edit the values in each one. When that happens, however, the keyboard does not disappear but the system does still generate UIKeyboardDidShowNotification notifications each time editing begins in a new text field." My code I've copied directly from Apple's documentation as well, and it works properly, but it only gets called the first time. What am I missing? - (void)registerForKeyboardNotifications { [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(keyboardWasShown:) name:UIKeyboardDidShowNotification object:nil]; [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(keyboardWasHidden:) name:UIKeyboardDidHideNotification object:nil]; } - (void)keyboardWasShown:(NSNotification *)aNotification { //if (keyboardShown) return; NSDictionary* info = [aNotification userInfo]; CGSize kbSize = [[info objectForKey:UIKeyboardBoundsUserInfoKey] CGRectValue].size; CGRect bkgndRect = activeField.superview.frame; bkgndRect.size.height += kbSize.height; [activeField.superview setFrame:bkgndRect]; [scrollView setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0.0, activeField.frame.origin.y) animated:YES]; keyboardShown = YES; UIBarButtonItem *doneButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithBarButtonSystemItem:UIBarButtonSystemItemDone target:self action:@selector(done)]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = doneButton; [doneButton release]; }

  • Removing and adding persistent stores to a core data application

    - by mkko
    I'm using core data on an iPhone application. I have multiple persisntent stores that I'm switching from one to another so that only one of the stores can be active at the time. I have one managed object context and the different persistent stores are similar in data format (sqlite) and share the same managed object model. I'm importing the data to each persistent store from a respective XML file. For the first import everything works fine, but after I remove the imported data (the persistent store and the physical file) and then re-import, core data gives me an error: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSObjectInaccessibleException', reason: 'The NSManagedObject with ID:0x3c14e00 <x-coredata://6D14F11E-2EA7-4141-9BE8-53747DE6FCC6/Book/p2> has been invalidated.' This error comes from the save: of NSManagedObjectContext. Before re-importing, i'm removing the persistent store from the persistent store coordinator and removing the physical file, so everything should be as if re-importing was done for the first time. Alos, the objects in managed object context are removed and the context is sent the reset: message (I don't know if this is actually needed). Could some one help me out here? How should the persistent store be switched? I'm basically using the same logic as tutored here: http://blog.sallarp.com/iphone-core-data-uitableview-drill-down/ Thanks in advance.

  • C++ errors not shown in Visual Studio C# project

    - by Diana
    I have in Visual Studio 2008 a .NET 3.5 C# project that uses a dll compiled from a C# project (let's call it dll A). Dll A is using on his turn some C++ libraries. The problem is that when I encounter an error while calling objects from dll A, the application just closes, without showing any error. But I need to know what's the problem, I cannot just guess and go blind all along the project with this... I checked Window's event log, could not find anything. I checked the settings of throwing errors in Visual Studio, in menu Debug - Exceptions, all of them are checked (including C++ exceptions), so, any errors should be thrown. My code looks something like this: tessnet2.Tesseract tessocr = new tessnet2.Tesseract(); tessocr.Init(@"s:\temp\tessdata", "eng", false); tessocr.GetThresholdedImage(bmp, Rectangle.Empty).Save("s:\\temp\\" + Guid.NewGuid().ToString() + ".bmp"); List<tessnet2.Word> words = ocr.DoOCR(bmp, "eng"); //App exits at this line If I put in my code something like int x = Convert.ToInt32("test"); this should throw an error. And it throws, and Visual Studio shows it. Does anyone having any idea why the errors are not being shown? Or where else could be registered? Any help is very appreciated! Thanks!

  • nHibernate strategies in a web farm

    - by Pete Nelson
    Our current project at work is a new MVC web site that will use a WCF service primarily to access a 3rd party billing system via a web service as well as a small SQL database for user personalization. The WCF service uses nHibernate for the SQL database. We'd like to implement some sort of web farm for load balancing as well as failover and maintenance. I'm trying to decide the best way to handle nHibernate's caching and database concurrency if there are multiple WCF services running. Some scenarios I've been thinking about... 1) Multiple IIS servers, one WCF server. With this setup, the WCF server would be a single point of failure, but there would be no issues with nHibernate caching or database concurrency. 2) Multiple IIS servers, each with it's own WCF service. This removes a single point of failure, but now nHibernate on one machine would not know about database changes done by another machine. Some solutions to number 2 would be to use an IStatelessSession so we're not doing any caching and nHibernate is always fetching directly from the database. This might be the most feasible as our personalization database has very few objects in it. I'm also considering a 2nd-level cache such as memcached or Velocity, but it may be overkill for this system. I'm putting this out there to see if anyone has experience doing this sort of architecture and to get some ideas for a solution. Thanks!

  • ASP MVC Ajax Controller pattern?

    - by Kevin Won
    My MVC app tends to have a lot of ajax calls (via JQuery.get()). It's sort of bugging me that my controller is littered with many tiny methods that get called via ajax. It seems to me to be sort of breaking the MVC pattern a bit--the controller is now being more of a data access component then a URI router. I refactored so that I have my 'true' controller for a page just performing standard routing responses (returing ActionResponse objects). So a call to /home/ will obviously kick up the HomeController class that will respond in the canonical controller fashion by returning a plain-jane View. I then moved my ajax stuff into a new controller class whose name I'm prefacing with 'Ajax'. So, for example, my page might have three different sections of functionality (say shopping cart or user account). I have an ajax controller for each of these (AjaxCartController, AjaxAccountController). There is really nothing different about moving the ajax call stuff into its own class--it's just to keep things cleaner. on client side obviously the JQuery would then use this new controller thusly: //jquery pseudocode call to specific controller that just handles ajax calls $.get('AjaxAccount/Details'.... (1) is there a better pattern in MVC for responding to ajax calls? (2) It seems to me that the MVC model is a bit leaky when it comes to ajax--it's not really 'controlling' stuff. It just happens to be the best and least painful way of handling ajax calls (or am I ignorant)? In other words, the 'Controller' abstraction doesn't seem to play nice with Ajax (at least from a patterns perspective). Is there something I'm missing?

  • Assert.AreEqual to not fail when comparing an enum and an int

    - by codingbear
    I'm not sure if this is doable, but I will just give a shot. I am calling Assert.AreEqual() method. For the parameters, I'm passing... an enum value which has Int32 as the underlying type because I didn't specify the base type an int (Int32) value Assert fails because it sees that the enum is not int (which is definitely correct). However, is there a way to make this Assert pass when the enum has the correct int value as the 2nd parameter? I can cast the enum to int and have it a quick fix, but it's really ugly. I was expecting some kind of overriding a method that Assert uses to compare 2 different objects and implicitly make that enum type look like an int. However, I wasn't successful at finding any hint/answer around that so far. Someone suggested to create a type converter and use the TypeConverterAttribute to get around. If this works for sure and is the only way to do it, I would; however, it does seem a lot of unnecessary work.

  • XML RPC c# Call returns array of strings and int

    - by chillconsulting
    I'm doing an XML RPC call in ASP.net with c# and the call returns an Array called userinfo with strings and integers in it and I can't seem to figure out how to parse the data and put it into string and int objects... The only thing that compiles is if I make it an Object in the struct. The int returns fines and is referenced easily. Any help would be appreciated - this is what I got. public Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e){ IValidateSSO proxy = XmlRpcProxyGen.Create<IValidateSSO>(); UserInfoSSOValue ret2 = proxy.UserInfoSSO(ssoAuth, ssoValue); int i = ret2.isonid; } public struct UserInfoSSOValue { public Object userinfo; public int isonid; } [XmlRpcUrl("host")] public interface IValidateSSO : IXmlRpcProxy { [XmlRpcMethod("sso.session_userinfo")] UserInfoSSOValue UserInfoSSO(string ssoauth, string sid); } Here is what the xml rpc calls returns (I know it's in php... • JPA merge fails due to duplicate key

    - by wobblycogs
    I have a simple entity, Code, that I need to persist to a MySQL database. public class Code implements Serializable { @Id private String key; private String description; ...getters and setters... } The user supplies a file full of key, description pairs which I read, convert to Code objects and then insert in a single transaction using em.merge(code). The file will generally have duplicate entries which I deal with by first adding them to a map keyed on the key field as I read them in. A problem arises though when keys differ only by case (for example: XYZ and XyZ). My map will, of course, contain both entries but during the merge process MySQL sees the two keys as being the same and the call to merge fails with a MySQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException. I could easily fix this by uppercasing the keys as I read them in but I'd like to understand exactly what is going wrong. The conclusion I have come to is that JPA considers XYZ and XyZ to be different keys but MySQL considers them to be the same. As such when JPA checks its list of known keys (or does whatever it does to determine whether it needs to perform an insert or update) it fails to find the previous insert and issuing another which then fails. Is this corrent? Is there anyway round this other than better filtering the client data? I haven't defined .equals or .hashCode on the Code class so perhaps this is the problem.

  • Dynamically loading sub-trees into YUI Treeview

    - by user319399
    When you create a YUI TreeView instance, you can pass in an object that represents an entire tree, and it will automatically build up the TextNodes for you. I'd like to send in a partial tree, such that the tree only goes, say, 2 levels deep, and anything deeper than that will invoke dynamic loading. I've got that much working. Now for the interesting part. In the dynamic loading callback I give to my tree instance, I want to again be able to just give YUI a big object representing more of the tree. I want to do something like this: // data is a array of objects organized into a tree, with some nodes requiring dynamic loading when they are navigated to tree = new YAHOO.widget.TreeView("treeDiv1", data); tree.setDynamicLoad(loadDataForNode); function loadDataForNode(node, onCompleteCallback) { if(node.children.length==0) { var subTree = { "label":"Cars", isLeaf:false, children:[ { "label":"Chevy", isLeaf:true }, { "label":"Ford", isLeaf:true }, ] }; // doesn't work, even though it has the required "label" field var tempNode = new YAHOO.widget.TextNode(subTree, node, true); } onCompleteCallback(); } Is this possible? Or do I have to iterate over all the nodes in my subtree and construct individual TextNodes for each one? Thanks much...

  • Activesupport::JSON.decode crashes on this,

    - by Waheedi
    I wonder why i cant decode this json string, all what i want is to convert this to a proper Ruby hash, anyone have an idea? i think the array of objects is cracking it ? Parameters: {"{\"origins\":"=>{"{\"origin\":\"this\"},{\"origin\":\"dont\"},{\"origin\":\"dont me please\"},{\"origin\":\"and me please\"},{\"origin\":\"dont\"},{\"origin\":\"dont\"},{\"origin\":\"dont\"},{\"origin\":\"okay\"},{\"origin\":\"dont\"},{\"origin\":\"go\"},{\"origin\":\"go\"}"=>{",\"url\":\"file:///Users/waheed/Desktop/untitled.html\",\"apik\":\"helloapik\",\"host\":\"http://localhost:3000/\"}"=>nil}}} now in my javascript im doing this //this is the object im trying to send over xmlhttprequest and im using JSON.org library which has the stringify method function tObject(origins,url,apik){ this.origins=origins; //this is an array of string this.url=url; this.apik=apik; } var t = new tObject(myStringArr,"www.foo.com","welcome guys"); ajax = new Ajax(); //this is an xhcon class you dont worry about it url here http://xkr.us/code/javascript/XHConn/ ajax.connect("http://localhost:3000/","POST",JSON.stringify(t), callback); in my rails app the parameters that has been posted looks like this: Parameters: {"{\"origins\":"={"{\"origin\":\"this\"},{\"origin\":\"yo yo\"},{\"origin\":\" me please\"},{\"origin\":\"and me please\"},{\"origin\":\"here\"},{\"origin\":\"and again\"},{\"origin\":\"again\"},{\"origin\":\"okay\"},{\"origin\":\"yes\"},{\"origin\":\"go\"},{\"origin\":\"go\"}"={",\"url\":\"www.foo.com\",\"apik\":\"welcome guys\"}"=nil}}} why it results with nil at the last ? i've tried to decode it but it could not work because it blame the string is not json string ?!!? TIA, waheedi

  • Marshalling C# com items when using recursion

    - by Kevin
    I am using the SourceSafe COM object (SourceSafeTypeLib) from C# to automate a SourceSafe recursive get (part of a larger build process). The recursive function is shown below. How do I ensure that all the COM objects created in the foreach loop get released correctly? /// <summary> /// Recursively gets files/projects from SourceSafe (this is a recursive function). /// </summary> /// <param name="vssItem">The VSSItem to get</param> private void GetChangedFiles(VSSItem vssItem) { // 'If the object is a file perform the diff, // 'If not, it is a project, so use recursion to go through it if(vssItem.Type == (int)VSSItemType.VSSITEM_FILE) { bool bDifferent = false; //file is different bool bNew = false; //file is new //Surround the diff in a try-catch block. If a file is new(doesn't exist on //the local filesystem) an error will be thrown. Catch this error and record it //as a new file. try { bDifferent = vssItem.get_IsDifferent(vssItem.LocalSpec); } catch { //File doesn't exist bDifferent = true; bNew = true; } //If the File is different(or new), get it and log the message if(bDifferent) { if(bNew) { clsLog.WriteLine("Getting " + vssItem.Spec); } else { clsLog.WriteLine("Replacing " + vssItem.Spec); } string strGetPath = vssItem.LocalSpec; vssItem.Get(ref strGetPath, (int)VSSFlags.VSSFLAG_REPREPLACE); } } else //Item is a project, recurse through its sub items { foreach(VSSItem fileItem in vssItem.get_Items(false)) { GetChangedFiles(fileItem); } } }

  • Migrating data from Plone to Liferay, or how could I retrieve information from Plone's Data.fs

    - by brandizzi
    Hello, all. I need to migrate data from a Plone-based portal to Liferay. Has anyone some idea on how to do it? Anyway, I am trying to retrieve data from Data.fs and store it in a representation easier to work, such as JSON. To do it, I need to know which objects I should get from Plone's Data.fs. I already got the Products.CMFPlone.Portal.PloneSite instance from the Data.fs, but I cannot get anything from it. I would like to get the PloneSite instance and do something like this: >>> import ZODB >>> from ZODB import FileStorage, DB >>> path = r"C:\Arquivos de programas\Plone\var\filestorage\Data.fs" >>> storage = FileStorage.FileStorage(path) >>> db = DB(storage) >>> conn = db.open() >>> root = conn.root() >>> app = root['Application'] >>> plone_site = app.getChildNodes()[13] # 13 would be index of PloneSite object >>> a = plone_site.get_articles() >>> for article in a: ... print "Title:", a.title ... print "Content:", a.content Title: <some title> Conent: <some content> Title: <some title> Conent: <some content> Of course, it did not need to be so straightforward. I just want some information about the structure of PloneSite and how to recover its data. Has anyone some idea? Thank you in advance!
