  • Google analytics campaign advice

    I am buying traffic from a broker not one source and sending to various landing pages. I would like to know the best way to structure a campaign so I can find which referrering site/url is performing the best (time on site, bounce etc) Should the utm_campaign be the 'brokername' and the utm_source be the 'landingpagename' or should this be the other way around? Also what would be the best way to create a custom report to show all the referrers metrics by each landing page ? Thank guys really appreciate any help on this.

  • Accidently system timer speed up

    Laptop: Acer 5750zg I've found this issue in latest Ubuntu versions (13.04, 14.04) in all desktop environment. When I'm typing something in text field, randomly I get ~5..20 same symbols and everything speed up. It's happen few times per one minute and start from normal speed, slowly rising to super boost animation and other processes like CPU monitor, clock, window animation, etc. I think something wrong with system clock. Please help to figure out how to fix it.

    Guys I need help to recover my external hard disk. Im using SEGATE FREEAGENT GO 320gb HDD. Recently I tried to format it using command line in win7, but accidentally I removed the hdd before the format is complete and I cannot open it and I tried to recover data using as many software's as I can but no use I have max of 25000 bad sectors. Can i still recover my hdd? Is there any way to recover my HDD with max bad sectors using Linux?

    I've been using XNA for a while to tinker with 2D game development, but I can't help but feel constrained by the content pipeline when targeting PC only. Things like no vector fonts or direct use of graphics files make it a pain while other frameworks do these things with no problem. I like XNA because it's robust and has a lot of support, but what are the specific benefits that I'd get developing exclusively for PC, if there are any at all?

    I'm a DBA and the developers in my organization are starting to use something called the Entity Framework (EF) in their applications. The developers are telling me that with EF you don't use stored procedures, you simply write .NET code to perform all of your data access. When I use the SQL Server Profiler to take a look at what they're doing, all I see is a bunch of dynamic SQL being executed. Naturally I'm a little skeptical of this, so can you help me to understand what is this Entity Framework?

  • PHP or C++? I just want to choose a language and focus on it!

    I love C++, but I feel I don't know if I should focus on web, so PHP, or C++. It's just an hard choice because right now I want to focus on one language and don't want to switch it a few months later. With C++ I'd program in SDL, while with PHP I don't know yet. I am not a very advanced programmer but I know basics of programming and can get going very well if determined. The problem is I just don't know.. I'm like OK! I'll go for C++! Then a minute later, wait what if I went with C#? Why this that.. ! I've read milion threads about C vs VB C# Python Ruby etc, all of them which I could find! It got me nowhere. The problem is probably I need to know something from some experts I guess.. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels/felt like I do right now yeah? Uhm... I guess I might help you with some details so your answer may be easier to write! ( And also, if you want to say something else which is not related to PHP or C++, you can do that, I've just got to the conclusion that C++ and PHP are the ones that are worth it but yeah. C# I've discarded due to some stuff I read which says in future the projects I'd start now could just be useless and stuff like that.. ) Ok well : I'm 18 years old, and I program as hobby right now, but I do hope to go to a programming college in future. ( That would be in 2 years ). Hmm, I like programming games, and I'm mostly bothered by the fact "this language could be useless to what I need to do" ( I don't know how to explain this feeling! ) I don't know which other details I could add... I hope you guys can help me choose my path, this is really stressing me I'm wasting my time not doing anything right now because I don't know which language to use..! Thanks!

For that I read that kernel does it using /sbin/hotplug script, but I am not able to find it in my source code, can someone help me out where can I find it? Also when I tried to do cat /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug there is nothing coming in output, I am running the same kernel which I downloaded and built.

    I recently realized the dropdown options from my nm-applet are no longer working. But I can still control the network configuration by going through the dash. This happened very recently. I only realized this before a week. I guess some recent update screwed it up.     I formatted all the partitions in my computer to a single ext4 partition and did a fresh installation of Ubuntu 13.04. I'm getting: Failed to execute /init Kernel panic - not syncing: no init found. Try passing init=option to kernel. Even on clean reinstall the issue persist. Booting from recovery mode leads to same error, so not able to reach the terminal. But able to boot from Live CD. Any help much appreciated.
