• Java Sql Udate error, data type missmatch

  I have created a table in ms access. I have set the data type of ID to Auto Number in MS-access. In java when I try to update a record. the netBeans IDE gives me the error of " data type missmatch in criteria expression". But when I changed the ID number that was not in the table already it works well. The code is below.   This (shortened) code.. for (int i = 0; i < count; i++) { object obj = propertyInfo.GetValue(Tcurrent, new object[] { i }); } .. is throwing a 'TargetParameterCountException : Parameter count mismatch' exception. The underlying type of 'propertyInfo' is a Collection of some T. 'count' is the number of items in the collection. I need to iterate through the collection and perform an operation on obj. Advice appreciated.

• DataSet binding problem

  I've got in-memory dataset with some table defined and I populate this table in a following way: for(...) ds.Fields.AddFieldsRow(++j, 0, heading, "Char", "", "", "Input", 0, "","",""); On the GUI I've got DataGridView bound to that table inside TabControl (bound through BindingSource). Very strange thing is happening: if I open tab pane with this grid and populate table with some data then I see changes in grid. On the other side if I'm at other tab, populate table, and then switch to tab with grid I've got following exception: "DataMember property 'Fields' cannot be found on the DataSource". In similar way I've got 2 tab panes with grid in each that are bound to the same datatable using different datasources and I open one of them, populate, see the changes, then switch to second tab and get crash. What am I missing?

  Recently a guy from our 3rd line team thought it would be funny to delete my account from AD. This has now been re-added. Everything is back to normal apart from my Access to Sharepoint sites. I am getting "The file exists. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070050)" Error on all sites. After some googleing I came across a guy with the same issue and it was an issue with the SID being different from my old account. Since this I deleted my account from Site Administrators and re-added. This would refresh the SID with the new one. • FindControl() method throws ArithmeticException?

  I have a line of C# in my ASP.NET code behind that looks like this: DropDownList ddlStates = (DropDownList)fvAccountSummary.FindControl("ddlStates"); The DropDownList control is explicitly declared in the markup on the page, not dynamically created. It is inside of a FormView control. When my code hits this line, I am getting an ArithmeticException with the message "Value was either too large or too small for an Int32." This code has worked previously, and is in production right now. I fired up VS2008 to make some changes to the site, but before I changed anything, I got this exception from the page. Anyone seen this one before?

  This one has me stumped, despite the numerous posts on here. The scenario is a basic MVC(2) web application with simple CRUD operations. Whenever the edit form is submitted and the UpdateModel() called, an exception is thrown: System.Data.Linq.ForeignKeyReferenceAlreadyHasValueException was unhandled by user code This occurs against a DropDownList value which is a foreign key on the entity table. However, there is another DropDownList list on the form, representing another foreign key, which does not throw the error (unsurprisingly). Changing the property values manually inside the Edit Action: Recipe recipe = repository.GetRecipe(int.Parse(formValues["recipeid"])); recipe.CategoryId = Convert.ToInt32(formValues["CategoryId"].ToString()); recipe.Page = int.Parse(formValues["Page"].ToString()); recipe.PublicationId=Convert.ToInt32(formValues["PublicationId"].ToString()); Allows the CategoryId and Page properties to be updated, and then the error is thrown on the PublicationId. All of the referential integrity is checked an the same in the db and the dbml. Any light shed on this would be most welcome.

  Hi, I am trying to make text appear briefly before it disappears. It would be along the lines of 1) Set color to black 2) wait x amount of seconds 3) set color to background color The method I call is repaint(), which then calls paintComponent(Graphics painter). repaint() is called only if I press the space-bar. I thought of trying repaint();Thread.sleep(1000);repaint(); (I do catch the Interrupt exception, just not shown), but it only calls paintComponent once per space-bar . Is there an easy way to do this or is this something that is a bit challenging?

  I have an Android project that branched into three different applications, app-1, app-2 and app-3, that apply some customizations. Currently there is a lot of code duplication, making maintenance a nightmare: do the changes in one of the branches, and then merge the other two. So we create a library project, named app-core, that factors out most of the duplicated code. So far so good. When I launch this into an emulator where the application was already loaded (before the refactoring), I get this exception: Re-installation failed due to different application signatures A different signature? But I just added a line in the .classpath to link to the app-core Java project! The main question is: are the existing users going to be bothered by this too? And the side question: Why is it a different signature?

  Let's say I have a menu of a prespecified width... I want each menu item to shrink-to-fit with its contents, with the exception of ONE, which then fills up the remaining space in the menu. so like: Fill | item | item | item So far the closest I've come to achieving this effect is by using display:table-cell; in the css code for each menu item. But the problem is unless I define a width for the "item"s, they all expand to take up the same amount of width in the table. Fill | item | item | item | item Is there any way to have the item spaces shrink to fit the item and have the fill just fill up the rest of the div? I might not have asked this very clearly... I'll clarify if needed.

  Is there any way to secure your assembly down to the class/property & class/method level to prevent the using/calling of them from another assembly that isn't signed by our company? I would like to do this without any requirements on strong naming (like using StrongNameIdentityPermission) and stick with how an assembly is signed. I really do not want to resort to using the InternalsVisibleTo attribute as that is not maintainable in a ever changing software ecosystem. • boost variant static_visitor problem picking correct function

  I'm sure I'm having a problem with template resolution here, but I'm not sure why I'm having the problem. I have a static visitor I'm passing to boost variant where i've had to do template specialization for certain cases. The case for everything except for MyClass should throw in the static_visitor below. Unfortunately, when the visitor is applied to pull a MyClass out, it selects the most generic case rather than the exact match. I would type each case explicitly, but that will be rather long.   iOS 4: I have entities in Core Data (using SQLite, which is a requirement) of: Request Response (which has a property personId) Revision Relationships are: Request <-- Revision Request <-- Response Revision <-- Response (e.g. each request may have many responses; each request/response pair may have many revisions) I'm trying to do a predicate to get all Responses with a given personId that have zero Revisions. Using: (personId == %d) && (Request.Revision[SIZE] == 0) in my predicate string gives me a runtime exception "Unsupported function expression Request.Revision[SIZE]" The documentation seems pretty sparse on aggregate functions, only noting that they exist, but with no syntax or examples. Not sure if it's my syntax or if the SIZE function really isn't supported in iOS.
