    I am looking for suggestions on the easiest to set up and use AJAX Autocomplete plugin that will use JSON key/value pairs. I want a plugin that supports setting the form value to the key of the name selected. I have been working with jQuery UI Autocomplete, but it is a total pain in the rear to get this working. Does anyone know of anything that actually supports this out of the box, or have a thread or page where this is already detailed?

  • Form value not passed to Seam bean after a4j reRender

    I'm making a webapp in Seam but ran into a problem I can't seem to fix. I have a JSF form where the customer can select a reservation type through a combobox. Based on the selected value, other form components gets rendered. For example: the customer selects Hours as reservation type, a panelGroup gets rendered where the customer can select a start- and an end hour. But if the customer would select 'part of the day' as reservation type, a selectOneMenu gets rendered where the customer can select a part of the day (morning, afternoon, evening) The rerendering well but the values of the components with a rendered conditional won't get passed to the bean. They stay null values.     I am using CKEditor/CKFinder as wysiwyg editor on my MVC.NET site. I have set [ValidateInput(false)] and it works when debugging it locally, but I receive the following error when I have published the site: A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client (message="<p> <em>Testing</e..."). can anyone explain why the published site is different from the locally site, especially when I have set [ValidateInput(false)]?

    Hi I have a javascript variable containing escaped HTML. There can be script tags inside the HTML, like this: var valueToInsert = "%3Cscript%20type%3D%22text/javascript%22%3Ealert%28%27test%27%29%3B%3C/script%3E%0A%3Cscript%20type%3D%22text/javascript%22%20src%3D%22http%3A//devserver/testinclude.js%22%3E%3C/script%3E%0A%3Cimg%20src%3D%22http%3A//www.footballpictures.net/data/media/131/manchester_united_logo.jpg%22%20/%3E" I want to append this to the DOM, and get all the javascript fired as expected. Right now I'm using this approach: var div = document.createElement("div"); div.innerHTML = unescape(valueToInsert); document.body.appendChild(div); In IE, at the time i set div.innerHTML - all script tags are removed. If I use jQuery to and do this: $(document.body).append(valueToInsert) It all works fine. Bad thing is, that I cannot use jQuery as this code will be added to sites I'm not in control of using some "already-implemented" script includes. Does someone have a trick? If jQuery can do it, it must be possible? I had another issue in Opera.     I would like to obtain the list of controls under a given point. There is a method on System.Windows.Form to obtain a control under a point(GetChildAtPoint) but not point(GetChildsAtPoint). Is there something similar for the list of controls (if borders intersect one other): I need this because I select the objects when user clicks on the panel(I use Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.RectangleShape as label bellow). In case if labels are superposed, user should be asked what object to select.

    I'm not sure I explained it correctly in the question title, so here's the details: Login controller: function authenticate() { if ( authorized ) { redirect('lobby'); } else { redirect('login'); } } Lobby controller: function index() { //load lobby view } What happens is that in the login page, I enter user / pass, click Login, then authenticate() is called, and redirects me to the Lobby. However, when I click refresh while on the Lobby, the login form gets submitted again, so I get "logged in" again. How do I prevent that from happening?

    I've just converted an application from MVC 1 to MVC 2 using the VS2010 wizard. Not found is the Html.RenderPartial which I have sprinkled around a number of views. I am guessing that this is something that I've done wrong because I see no mention of this as a breaking change in the white papers and docs. Everything I'm using is RTM/RTW and no beta or RC versions.

    The code below works as far as inserting records from a file into MySQL, but it only does so properly if the columns in the file are already ordered the same way as in the database. I would like for the user to be able to select the drop down the corresponds to each column in their file to match it up with the columns in the database (the database has email address, first name, last name). I am not sure how to accomplish this.     I'm using Eclipse to write php and naturally I get color coding like all IDEs do. How do I get the same effect in a blog? See this example (scroll down to see the code colors), he has full colors, green, red, blue, pretty acceptable I'd say http://www.tellinya.com/read/2007/06/15/20.html Is there something that's standalone PHP that can achieve this, or do I need a plugin and install a CMS?     I'm using the sfGuardDoctrine plugin, and I would like to customize the form validation messages. How could I acomplish this? I can't find anything in the documentation. The only way I have found is to copy sfGuardValidatorUser.class into /apps/frontend/lib/validator, but I would like to know if there is some way to just override the error message, not override the entire validator...
