  • Tracing Erlang Functions - Short forms

    As you might know, it's now possible to trace Erlang functions by using the short form: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, x). Instead of the usual: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, dbg:fun2ms(fun(_) -> exception_trace() end)). I'm actually wondering if a similar short form is available for return_trace(). Something like: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, r). Instead of: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, dbg:fun2ms(fun(_) -> return_trace() end)). The source code in the dbg module seems to suggest not: new_pattern_table() -> PT = ets:new(dbg_tab, [ordered_set, public]), ets:insert(PT, {x, term_to_binary([{'_',[],[{exception_trace}]}])}), ets:insert(PT, {exception_trace, term_to_binary(x)}), PT. But I might be wrong. Do you know of any?

  • Win32: How do I get the listbox for a combobox

    I'm writing some code and I need to get the window handle of the listbox associated with a combo box. When looking in spy++, it looks like the parent of the listbox is the desktop, not the combo box. How can I programmatically find the listbox window handle? I know I'd be looking for a window class of ComboLBox that belongs to my process, but how do I narrow that down to the specific one I am looking for? Adam

    Hi, I am using visual studio 2008 and sql server 2008 for developing application(SQL server is in my system). I need to fetch some fields from the database. I am using the SQLDriverConnect API to connect to the database. If I use the "SQL_DRIVER_PROMPT" I will get pop window to select the data source. I don't want this window to appear. As per my understanding this window will appear if we provide insufficient information in the connection string. I think I have provided all the information. I am trying to connect with windows authentication. I tried different options but still no luck. Please help me in solving this problem.   • Excel 2007 UDF keeps failing, why?

    I've been trying to browse info about this for a while now. The user defined functions in Excel 2007 just make no sense to me whatsoever. According to all the tutorials, it should be really simple. Just press alt + f11, insert a new module, and enter the VBA code there. At this point typing '=FUNCTIONNAME(parameters)' into any cell should make it work. It did, at first. Then upon closing and reopening the worksheet it stopped working. I checked to see that macros were enabled, but either way, that didn't help. Then I browsed the graphic UI from the function button to locate user defined functions. I found it there by name of 'MyExcelWorksheet.xls!FUNCTIONNAME.FUNCTIONNAME' and clicking that, it started working again. Now, a day later, I get back to working on this and it's broken, again. I just get #NAME? error or some "Function Arguments - Function doesn't use any arguments" -popup (translated from Finnish Excel, not sure what that msg is in English) when I select the function from the GUI. So what does it take to just create a function, and actually make it work and KEEP working? For the life of me I can't figure out why this has to be so difficult. :) I'm starting to think my company has some weird settings enabled or whatever, because judging by the lack of information I've found on the subject, this isn't supposed to happen.

    Quick question. I have a js function which gets called on the page every few seconds. It's an ajax update thing. Being a function, I declare local variables. I don't want to use closures or global variables for various reasons. I'd never considered this, but do I need to release/clear the variables at the end of the function to release memory or will js do this for me automatically ? Thanks

    I have no idea where to start on this one. I have a that does not appear until a button is clicked. This function call works: onclick="highlight('mod_sup_div', true);" function highlight(aDiv,show) { if (show) { Effect.Appear('Overlay',{duration: 0.5, to: .80}); Effect.Appear(aDiv,{duration: 0.5}) } else { Effect.Fade('Overlay',{duration: 0.5, to: .80}); Effect.Fade(aDiv,{duration: 0.5}) } } In the <div> I have a button to close the window. <p class="closer"><span onclick="highlight('mod_sup_div',false)">X</span></p> This does not work. The function is not even called, as I made a alert() the first line of the function at it does nothing. What is odd, is that onclick="Effect.Fade(aDiv,{duration: 0.5})" does work. Other simple javascript functions in the onclick="" work, except for the function call. Any help as to why this is happening would be very appreciated. Thanks, Dave

  • Keypress event on inserted span (jQuery)

    Hi, I've been researching for a long time, and haven't found a possible solution. The problem I have is that I'm trying to attach an event handler to an span element just inserted. So basically the problem is, when a user performs a particular action that I set (clicking a button by example) I call this function: function AppendSpan() { $('#mydiv').append('<span id="someid" contenteditable="true">Some TExt</span>'); //Then I want to handle the keypress event on the inserted span $('#someid').keypress(function(event){//Do something here}); } The problem is that the keypress event is never triggered on the inserted span, I tried with the click event and it works fine, but not the keypress or keydown,keyup events. I also tried with $('span').live("keypress",function(event){//Do something}); but didn't work. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I need this to work only in FF, so no support for IE required.

    Hi, I am working on my first MVC application and am running into a bit of a problem. I have a data table that when a row is clicked, I want to return the detail from that row.   • Having trouble parsing XML with jQuery

    Hi Guys, I'm trying to parse some XML data using jQuery, and as it stands I have extracted the 'ID' attribute of the required nodes and stored them in an array, and now I want to run a loop for each array member and eventually grab more attributes from the notes specific to each ID. The problem currently is that once I get to the 'for' loop, it isn't looping, and I think I may have written the xml path data incorrectly. It runs once and I recieve the 'alert(arrayIds.length);' only once, and it only loops the correct amount of times if I remove the subsequent xml path code.   • how to set style through javascript in IE immediately

    Hi, recently I've encountered a problem with IE. I have a function function() { ShowProgress(); DoSomeWork(); HideProgress(); } where ShowProgress and HideProgress just manipulate the 'display' CSS style using jQuery's css() method. In FF everything is OK, and at the same time I change the display property to block, progress-bar appears. But not in IE. In IE the style is applied, once I leave the function. Which means it's never shown, because at the end of the function I simply hide it. (if I remove the HideProgress line, the progress-bar appears right after finishing executing the function (more precisely, immediately when the calling functions ends - and so there's nothing else going on in IE)). Has anybody encountered this behavior? Is there a way to get IE to apply the style immediately? I've prepared a solution but it would take me some time to implement it. My DoSomeWork() method is doing some AJAX calls, and these are right now synchronous. I assume that making them asynchronous will kind of solve the problem, but I have to redesign the code a bit, so finding a solution just for applying the style immediately would much simplier.     Hi, I am using Des.php for decryption. For few texts descript function returns Correct output in readable text format. For few... it just returns blank(empty.) After debugging in Des.php, i found that function _unpad($text) is returning false. The input $text is also still encoded. What could be the reason?
