• Returned JSON is seemingly mixed up when using jQuery Ajax

  I've a php script that has the following line: echo json_encode(array('success'=>'true','userid'=>$userid, 'data' => $array)); It returns the following: { "success": "true", "userid": "1", "data": [ { "id": "1", "name": "Trigger", "image": "", "subtitle": "", "description": "", "range1": null, "range2": null, "range3": null }, { "id": "2", "name": "DWS", "image": "", "subtitle": "", "description": "", "range1": null, "range2": null, "range3": null } ] } But when I call a jQuery ajax as below: $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: 'url', crossDomain: true, data: {name: name}, success: function(success, userid, data) { if (success = true) { document.write(userid); document.write(success); } } }); The userid is 'success'. The actual success one works, its true. Is this malformed data being returned? Or is it simply my code? Thanks in advance, Niall

  I'm following the tuitions on XMLHttpRequest 2 from : https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/XMLHttpRequest/Sending_and_Receiving_Binary_Data and http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/file/xhr2/#toc-send-arraybuffer They're great tutorials for the client side, and here is a working extract from my script: var imagebuffer = new ArrayBuffer(size); // create the readonly memory buffer var imagedata= new Uint8Array(imagebuffer); // create a view to manipulate data // do some cool stuff with imagedata var exchange=new XMLHttpRequest(); exchange.open("POST",url,true); exchange.send(arraybuffer); So far so good, and I can see from the both client and server control panels that plenty of data is being transferred. Here's my problem: how do I access the ArrayBuffer with PHP at the server? I'm used to the $_POST superglobal wanting parameters passing from a HTML form so it can be accessed as an array but I can't find any reference for how to access this binary array and stick it in my MySQL database.

• textures and vertex arrays with OpenGL?

  Basically what I'd like to do is make textured NGONS. I also want to use a tesselator (GLU) to make concave and multicontour objects. I was wondering how the texture comes into play though. I think that the tesselator will return verticies so I will add these to my array, that's fine. But my vertex array will contain more than one polygon object so then how can I tell it when to bind the texture like in immediate mode? Right now I feel stuck with one call to bind. How can this be done? Thanks

• Replacing a colour/colours in a movieclip with different colours?

  I am trying to take a movieclip of a character and change the colour of their clothes. The character is comprised of vectors. So far I have semi-sucessfully used this method: stop the movieclip take the bitmap data from the current frame use threshold to replace the colour store the resulting bitmap data in an array add an onenterframe function - clear the current frame and add the bitmap data from the processed data in the array So - this works pretty well. Each frame is only processed once at the beginning and then the write to the movieclip is very quick. However! As the replacement is being performed on a bitmap there is an amount of aliasing that takes place to remove jaggies/pixelation. This produces colours that are not matched using threshold. So the main colour is replaced correctly but it is surrounded by a halo of mixed colours :( I am sure there should be a better way to do this. Any ideas or answers would be greatly apreciated - Thanks.

• Finding matching submatrics inside a matrix

  I have a 100x200 2D array expressed as a numpy array consisting of black (0) and white (255) cells. It is a bitmap file. I then have 2D shapes (it's easiest to think of them as letters) that are also 2D black and white cells. I know I can naively iterate through the matrix but this is going to be a 'hot' portion of my code so speed is an concern. Is there a fast way to perform this in numpy/scipy? I looked briefly at Scipy's correlate function. I am not interested in 'fuzzy matches', only exact matches. I also looked at some academic papers but they are above my head.

IEnumerable returned = anotherMethodWhichWantsAnIEnumerable(someStreamAsIEnumerable); ... } One way is to read the entire Stream, convert it to an Array of bytes and pass it in, as Array implements IEnumerable. I can't seem to find anywhere that tells me so, so maybe it's not possible or not good practise.   I am trying to find out if there is a more optimal way for creating a list of an object's sub object's properties. (Apologies for the crude wording, I am not really much of an OO expert) I have an object "event" that has a collection of "artists", each artist having an "artist_name". On my HTML output, I want a plain list of artist names delimited by a comma. PHP's implode() seems to be the best way to create a comma delimited list of values. I am currently iterating through the object and push values in a temporary array "artistlist" so I can use implode(). That is the shortest I could come up with. • google maps v3 distance

  Trying to create a new version of the map functions seen here: http://www.daftlogic.com/projects-google-maps-distance-calculator.htm but using the v3 api. So far I am able to set markers on click and can draw the geodesic polyline. The issues I am currently running into are: Updating the poly-line on marker drag I'm pretty sure I have to put each marker in an array and do a for loop so that I can keep clicking and adding points that will add to the total distance. Properly displaying distance. I have created a jsfiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/wyZyS/ EDIT: I realize I have nothing calling the "update" function. I am trying to create the array for each marker currently. The calculation you see is converting meters to nautical miles.

• Avoid duplicate custom post type posts in multiple loops in Wordpress

  I am running two loops with a custom post type of Portfolio (ID of 3). The first loop is for Featured and the second is for the rest. I plan on having more than 3 Featured posts in random order. I would like to have the Featured ones that aren't displaying in the first loop to show up in my second loop.   Hey, How is it possible to sort data from multiple tables by relevance? My table structure is following: I have 3 tables in my database, one table contains the name of solar systems, the second for e.g. of planets. There is one more table, witch is a connection between solar systems and planets. If I want to get data of a planet, witch is in the Milky Way, i post this data to the server, and it gives me a multi-dimensional array witch contains: The Milky Way, with every planet in it Every planet, witch name contains the string Milky Way (maybe thats a bat example because i don't think that theres but one planet with this name, but the main concept is on file) But, i want to set the most relevant restaurants to the top of the array. (for the relevance i would check the description of the restaurants or something like that) So, how would you do that kind of data sorting?

• Search resetting selection in tableview

  I've got an NSTableView bound to an NSArrayController via content and selection indexes. All great so far - content displayed, etc. Now an NSSearchField is bound to the array controller via filterPredicate and the property of the array content instances that's to be searched. Searching/filtering the table view works great; table view showing only matching entries. However, searching resets the selection on the NSTableView if the existing selection isn't in the search results. Worse, not only during the search but after ending the search there's no selection on the table view. The NSArrayController is set up to Avoid Empty Selection. Any hints on how to properly configure bindings in this scenario to really prevent an empty selection much appreciated!

• How can one put together multiple arrays into one string?

  I'm having a hard time describing what I'm looking for. If we pretend that we're pulling an array (I've used the .split to get user input data) where each line represents a link. How can I then add an anchor tagg to that link that I'm pulling? I need to be able to put < a href=" + thearray + "anything< /a. The reason for this is that I'm dynamically creating a list. I think that if I create two variables, one with this part < a href=" one with the closing and then call some sort of function that puts those two and the pulled array in between them until the list is complete. Does this make any sense?

• Symfony 1.4: Is it possible to prevent escaping of a redirect URL?

  Hi, If I do a redirect in action as normal: $this->redirect('@mypage?apple=1&banana=2&orange=3'); ... Symfony produces the correct URL: /something/something?apple=1&banana=2&orange=3 However, the following gets escaped for some bizarre reason: $string = 'apple=1&banana=2&orange=3'; $this->redirect('@mypage?'.$string); ... and the following URL is produced: /something/something?apple=1&amp;banana=2&amp;orange=3 Is there a way to avoid this escaping and have the ampersands appear correctly in the URL? I've tried everything I can think of and it's driving me mad. I need this for a situation where I'm pulling a saved query as a string from the database and would just like to latch it onto the URL. I'm aware that I could generate an array from the string and then generate a brand new URL from the array, but it just seems like a lot of overhead because of this silly escaping. Thanks.

Well, it looks "a bit" hacky, and so my questions: Does this make sense? Is anybody else doing something like this? Is the 1-length array a good way of transferring the result? Is there an easier way to do this?

  class String contains very useful method - String.Join(string, string[]). It creates a string from an array, separating each element of array with a symbol given. But general - it doesn't add a separator after the last element! I uses it for ASP.NET coding for separating with "<br />" or Environment.NewLine. So I want to add an empty row after each row in asp:Table. What method of IEnumerable<TableRow> can I use for the same functionality?
