Where stream_data[800] contains: **Variable** **Length (in bits)** packetID 8 packetL 8 versionMajor 4 versionMinor 4 radioID 8 etc.. I need to write: void unpackData(radioDataA *streamData, MA_DataA *maData) { //unpack streamData (from above) & put some of the data into maData //How do I read in bits of data? I know it's by groups of 8 but I don't understand how. //MAData is also a struct. }

    I have a root view controller with no nib file, I tried adding this at cellForRowAtIndexPath as that passes in a UITableView as tableView. So I put : tableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.frame style:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; It ran with no error but it didnt seem to change anything.

    I normally do this to set a new Map to a private variable: public static void setListaClausulas(Map<String, Clausula> nvLista) { listaClausulas = new TreeMap<String, Clausula>(nvLista); } I suppose this is ok to set a new copy of the nvLista and all it's members and not a reference, is it? But now I have a Map inside another Map and I'm doing this: public static void setListaClausulas(Map<String, Map<String, Clausula>> nvLista) { listaClausulas = new TreeMap<String, Map<String, Clausula>>(nvLista); } Is this the correct way to do it or do you recommend something else? What I want is to set a new copy of nvLista (and all it's elements) and not copy just the reference.

    I'm trying to get the return value of a ruby script in cmd.exe. The ruby script will return -1 if exception is caught and 0 if success. rescue Exception => ex puts ex.message returnvalue = -1 else returnvalue = 0 ensure puts returnvalue in the cmd batch, calling the script using ruby.exe ruby tt.rb 1 %1 But I'm not able to retreive the returnvalue in the cmd batch file (e.g. using %errorlevel%). Is there any way to do this? thanks!

    Say I have a C++ function debugPrint(int foo). How can I most conveniently strip that from release builds? I do not want to surround every call to debugPrint with #ifdefs as it would be really time consuming. On the other hand, I want to be 100% sure that the compiler strips all the calls to that function, and the function itself from release builds. The stripping should happen also, if it's called with a parameter that results from a function call. E.g., debugPrint(getFoo());. In that case I want also the getFoo() call to be stripped. I understand that function inlining could be an option, but inlining is not guaranteed to be supported.

    I'm working on my first database application. It is a WinForms application written in C# using a SQLite database. I've come across some problems, when a apostrophe is used, my SQLite query fails. Here is the structure of my queries. string SQL = "UPDATE SUBCONTRACTOR SET JobSite = NULL WHERE JobSite = '" + jobSite + "'"; For instance, if an apostrophe is used in the jobSite var, it offsets the other apostrophes in the command, and fails. So my questions are: 1. How do I escape characters like the apostrophe and semicolon in the above query example? 2. What characters do I need to escape? I know I should escape the apostrophe, what else is dangerous? Thanks for your help!

    Write a program with a word containing @ character as an input. If the word doesn't contain @, it should prompt the user for a word with @. Once a word with @ is read, it should output the word then terminate.     Hi I am trying to learn JAVA deeply and so I am digging into the JDK source code in the following lines: URL url = new URL("http://www.google.com"); URLConnection tmpConn = url.openConnection(); I attached the source code and set the breakpoint at the second line and stepped into the code. I can see the code flow is: URL.openConnection() - sun.net.www.protocol.http.Handler.openConnection() I have two questions about this First In URL.openConnection() the code is: public URLConnection openConnection() throws java.io.IOException { return handler.openConnection(this); } handler is an object of URLStreamHandler, define as blow transient URLStreamHandler handler; But URLStreamHandler is a abstract class and method openConnection() is not implement in it so when handler calls this method, it should go to find a subclass who implement this method, right? But there are a lot classes who implement this methods in sun.net.www.protocol (like http.Hanlder, ftp.Handler ) How should the code know which "openConnection" method it should call? In this example, this handler.openConnection() will go into http.Handler and it is correct. (if I set the url as ftp://www.google.com, it will go into ftp.Handler) I cannot understand the mechanism. second. I have attached the source code so I can step into the JDK and see the variables but for many classes like sun.net.www.protocol.http.Handler, there are not source code in src.zip. I googled this class and there is source code online I can get but why they did not put it (and many other classes) in the src.zip? Where can I find a comprehensive version of source code? Thanks!
