    I am trying to add a list of linked lables to a listview. I amd doing so like this foreach (String s in values) { LinkLabel label = new LinkLabel(); label.Text = s; txtBox.Controls.Add(label); } } It keeps adding just one item to the listbox even tho there are more. Any ideas? ps) i can tell there are more items from adding a breakbpoint and using console.writeline when iterating Thanks

    Hi I spent a day trying to make Ent Lib Logging work and log anything into database or event log, I have a web application and console application withe the same Ent Lib config, only the console is capable to log into the Event Log, I tried everything with permissions, but I don't know what exactly I am doing, which services should have what, It does not work!! Here you can simply add the attached trkd_cert.cer (“Add” button) or get it from port (“Retrieve from port” button, host: ++++.com, port 443) But this is valid for Websphere 6.1. Do somebody know how this can be done in WebSphere 5.1?

The purpose of this is to ensure that a helper utility is always available on the system, without having to distribute multiple files. With Delphi 2007 I have used JvDataEmbedded, but I am building a console application and I want to know if anyone knows of another way to do it without having to add a hidden form for JvDataEmbedded.     In SublimeText(2), when you press [ctrl + shift + p] (mac osx) you are shown a scope of where your caret/cursor is in the source code at the given moment e.g.: entity.name.tag.inline.any.html meta.tag.inline.any.html text.html.basic I am curious about what library or script is used to parse the document/file and create that scope string. A sidenote: Typing view.syntax_name(view.sel()[0].b) into Sublime's console will output the scope as well.

  • Problems with Threading in Python 2.5, KeyError: 51, Help debugging?

    I have a python script which runs a particular script large number of times (for monte carlo purpose) and the way I have scripted it is that, I queue up the script the desired number of times it should be run then I spawn threads and each thread runs the script once and again when its done. Once the script in a particular thread is finished, the output is written to a file by accessing a lock (so my guess was that only one thread accesses the lock at a given time). Once the lock is released by one thread, the next thread accesses it and adds its output to the previously written file and rewrites it. I am not facing a problem when the number of iterations is small like 10 or 20 but when its large like 50 or 150, python returns a KeyError: 51 telling me element doesn't exist and the error it points out to is within the lock which puzzles me since only one thread should access the lock at once and I do not expect an error. This is the class I use: class errorclass(threading.Thread): def __init__(self, queue): self.__queue=queue threading.Thread.__init__(self) def run(self): while 1: item = self.__queue.get() if item is None: break result = myfunction() lock = threading.RLock() lock.acquire() ADD entries from current thread to entries in file and REWRITE FILE lock.release() queue = Queue.Queue() for i in range(threads): errorclass(queue).start() for i in range(desired iterations): queue.put(i) for i in range(threads): queue.put(None) Python returns with KeyError: 51 for large number of desired iterations during the adding/write file operation after lock access, I am wondering if this is the correct way to use the lock since every thread has a lock operation rather than every thread accessing a shared lock? What would be the way to rectify this?

  • Cannot pass null to server using jQuery AJAX. Value received at the server is the string "null".

    I am converting a javascript/php/ajax application to use jQuery to ensure compatibility with browsers other than Firefox. I am having trouble passing true, false, and null values using jQuery's ajax function. Javascript code: $.ajax ( { url : <server_url>, dataType: 'json', type : 'POST', success : receiveAjaxMessage, data: { valueTrue : true, valueFalse : false, valueNull : null } } ); PHP code: var_dump($_POST); Server output: array(3) { ["valueTrue"]=> string(4) "true" ["valueFalse"]=> string(5) "false" ["valueNull"]=> string(4) "null" } The problem is that the null, true, and false values are being converted to strings. The Javascript AJAX code currently in use passes null, true, and false correctly but only works in Firefox. Does anyone know how to solve this problem using jQuery? Here is some working code (not using jQuery) to compare with the code not-working code given above. Javascript Code: ajaxPort.send ( <server_url>, { valueTrue : true, valueFalse : false, valueNull : null } ); PHP code: var_dump(json_decode(file_get_contents('php://input'), true)); Server output: array(3) { ["valueTrue"]=> bool(true) ["valueFalse"]=> bool(false) ["valueNull"]=> NULL } Note that the null, true, and false values are correctly received. Note also that in the second method the $_POST array is not used in the PHP code. I think this is the key to the problem, but I cannot find a way to replicate this behavior using jQuery.

  • How do I prevent qFatal() from aborting the application?

    My Qt application uses Q_ASSERT_X, which calls qFatal(), which (by default) aborts the application. That's great for the application, but I'd like to suppress that behavior when unit testing the application. (I'm using the Google Test Framework.) I have by unit tests in a separate project, statically linking to the class I'm testing. The documentation for qFatal() reads: Calls the message handler with the fatal message msg. If no message handler has been installed, the message is printed to stderr. Under Windows, the message is sent to the debugger. If you are using the default message handler this function will abort on Unix systems to create a core dump. On Windows, for debug builds, this function will report a _CRT_ERROR enabling you to connect a debugger to the application. ... To supress the output at runtime, install your own message handler with qInstallMsgHandler(). The current trouble is that the compiler doesn't like my enum usage when trying to use the new data type as I would other data types.   • Retrieving ids from MySQL query

    I am having trouble accessing the "model_id" and "brand_id" from the foreach loop that I am using. They are the right field names, because I have echoed them successfully, and I have also "var_dumped" the array, and the IDs are there. It is just a case of implementing the relevant links on each list section.   • How can I kill off a Python web app on GAE early following a redirect?

    Hi Disclaimer: completely new to Python from a PHP background Ok I'm using Python on Google App Engine with Google's webapp framework. I have a function which I import as it contains things which need to be processed on each page. def some_function(self): if data['user'].new_user and not self.request.path == '/main/new': self.redirect('/main/new') This works fine when I call it, but how can I make sure the app is killed off after the redirection. I don't want anything else processing. For example I will do this: class Dashboard(webapp.RequestHandler): def get(self): some_function(self) #Continue with normal code here self.response.out.write('Some output here') I want to make sure that once the redirection is made in some_function() (which works fine), that no processing is done in the get() function following the redirection, nor is the "Some output here" outputted. What should I be looking at to make this all work properly? I can't just exit the script because the webapp framework needs to run. I realise that more than likely I'm just doing things in completely the wrong way any way for a Python app, so any guidance would be a great help. Hopefully I have explained myself properly and someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks
